If I could go lower than one star I would. I began the process of new sliders and windows in October. Prior to my virtual appointment, I downloaded and installed an app that takes pictures and converts them to rough measurements. It made that appointment pretty easy. So far so good. My wife called a few days later to pay our project in full and received a receipt stating paid in full. (IOT to get points prior to vacation).

At some point, actual measurements were taken onsite and an install date in Dec were established. Original install date resulted in one door completely the wrong size. 8" or so. I get it, maybe the measurer fat-finger the number. A field supervisor came out and remeasured, a new date (4-weeks) and a new door were ordered. Second install was cancelled due to crew unavailability.

It was cancelled about 20 minutes before they were to arrive. Third install resulted in the same mismeasured door. Four more weeks or so and another new door ordered. Fourth install was finally successful. I get that mistakes happen but this is supposed to be an industry leader in doors and windows and to make the same mistake multiple times seems amateurish.

All along the way, install crews and field supervisors all processed that the project coordination team would take care of us with a rebate or a credit. So we are now complete and calls with the project coordination team (PCT) were insulting. They offered $75 per screw-up despite the frustration and the missed work for 4 install attempts. Absolutely insulting!

At that time, the PCT team also said they misplaced my deposit and could I help find it. We also negotiated a more acceptable credit/rebate which was beyond what my POC could authorize. So we played phone tag until we both gave up. At this point, I relegated that I just wanted the project to be done and that even with a credit, we were unlikely to use Thompson Creek again.

Now two months after that (9 moths after staring this slog), I am getting new harassing calls about the "missing" down payment despite each of my work-orders showing paid in full, a receipt showing paid in full and a contract showing a down payment. Thompson Creek does not care about you. They do not care about your house. They only want to line their pockets and deeply as they can.

Figure that most windows/door replacements should last for several years, they are relying on taking you to the bank upfront versus respecting you as a client and/or building a relationship. My boss used Replacement by Anderson. Use that company or use Window World or some other company. DO NOT USE THOMPSON CREEK and if you do, buyer beware.

We hired Thompson Creek to replace windows in a room of our house. The upfront sales side of the house was a very pleasant experience and the reason we decided to hire them. The day of the installation, the crew arrived on time and replaced the windows. They did not clean the site and left numerous screws and debris in my driveway along with metal and saw blades by the work area outside.

Fast forward, we noticed after a rain storm that water has pooled in the ledge and a leak is happening somewhere. We called to get a service team out and they are over 1 month to get someone out to assess. We will see how the warranty repair goes and how they handle the damaged flooring and trim.

Over 5 months since the initial installation of 11 windows and 2 sliding glass doors. All windows except two were defective from the factory and needed to be replaced. To this day I still have one defective window that is halfway installed. Installers have been out 4 times and have yet to complete the replacement of the window and repairs of poor craftsmanship.

I WOULD NOT recommend TC to anyone. They provide top quality lip service and equally poor customer service. For what I paid for these windows and doors I expected far better product quality and installation quality. The only part of this experience that went off without a hitch was the start of the payments on the loan. TC promised me a credit to my loan due to having so many issues and for me having to take so many days off of work for them to be at my house.

I HIGHLY doubt that I will ever see a credit or even a completed window. I purchased top of the line double hung, double pane windows. The insulating value is negligible compared to my 25 year old previous windows. At least I don't hear wind blowing through the new windows. Thompson Creek - Finish the job that I paid you for. Update-5/3/2022 Made a dispute with the loan company. 3 months elapsed without resolution.

Loan company credited me 10% of the loan. I worked out a deal with Thompson Creek to also credit the loan instead of fixing the window. 10'ish months total and I will just fix the issues myself.

From beginning to end the service from Thompson Creek was impeccable! I had eight windows replaced. 7 double hung with screens and one slider. Brian came to talk to me and find out what my needs were, and was able to show me the actual product and explain how the windows were made, I was blown away by the quality. Next was measurement, which went very smoothly, and then installation. All very smooth and fast. Clean and efficient workmanship by all. I highly recommend Thompson Creek! Very happy with the results!

I was initially very please with the install. However, there was a rip in one of the new screens. Thompson Creek sent someone out to make the repair. We were initially pleased that the person noticed that not one but two of the screens were damaged from the initial install. After he checked the screens we were told that we did not have to worry about anything else.

It was only after he had left and I checked the screens that I realized both replacement screens had gaps in the side and the netting was bunched in certain places. The new screens looked worse than the previously damaged screens. I am scheduled to have them replaced once again in two weeks. While I appreciated the overall job, details like this brings down the quality of the work. I would recommend them but pay attention to details!

Buyer beware! My windows were installed 09/30/2021. My contract included 8 (66" X 32") windows, installation of the window units, and cladding of the exterior window perimeter 1" X 6" trim boards surrounding the windows with color matching metal clad material. Upon inspection near the end of the job, I discovered instead of installing the cladding around the trim boards, the crew had ripped all of the trim boards off the building, disposed of the trim which I discovered buried in their truck, and had fabricated faux clad hollow shell trim in it's place.

In disbelief, I confronted the crew chief who explained Thompson Creek does it all the time. I immediately contacted, Asia, my TC project coordinator to have the faux clad trim removed, and the trim board material restored and cladded. This is what I ended up with. 1. Tearing out of the trim. As a result of ripping out the trim from the building sheathing material, it has compromised its vapor barrier effectiveness allowing air leaks around the interior sill molding and mold in the walls. 2.

Poor window function. These are 66" X 32" double hung windows. Only on 2 of the 8 units am I able to easily lock the windows because they don't slide freely. To lock the window, it requires heavy FORCE to push the tight-fitting top window up. 3. Installers are NOT Thompson Creek employees. When I bought the windows the salesmen boasted of TC window quality and it's professional Thompson Creek installation crew.which I qualified with him then to be Thompson Creek employees.

Even afterwards while following up with the project foreman sent recently to inspect the installation issues, when asked, he too stated they were employees. As I questioned that further, he qualified it by stating they were independent contractors Thompson Creek hires (1099) to do their work. This is deliberate deceptive business practice. Despite this, and repeated calls, no one at Thompson Creek has followed up with any resolution except to collect the outstanding invoice balance. Good luck!

Customer service is terrible at this company. Our "project manager" did not respond to us for a month. We made multiple phone calls to the company that went unanswered even though it was promised that someone would contact us the next business day. Finally, we were charged twice for our windows. It took us four business days to get this issue resolved and simply because we continued to contact the company daily. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I purchased a new floor to ceiling bay style windows for the living room of my home. The organization was professional with the exception of one hiccup. It should be said that nothing in the world is perfect and how a company deals with these hiccups shows their true colors. That being said they felt with that hiccup in an excellent and professional manner.

I was contacted early in the job by Tyechia Walton, who was my project coordinator. She was very professional and helpful at all times. On the day of install a team of three people led by a woman named Yani arrived and swiftly went to work. They were kind and professional at every moment. In the end the work done i could not be happier with. Very excellent quality and the overall look is fantastic. Check out the attached photos just beautiful. Thanks Thompson creak I'll be in touch for the other windows soon.

Tony arrived at the house on time and was incredibly respectful. He went through the value proposition and showed me the options for replacing my door. We were able to come up with a great price and we actually ordered additional windows for the dining room. I would happily use Thompson Creek again and recommend them to all of my friends looking to replace their old windows. Edited after the installation: Kim Williamson and the entire Thompson Creek team were equally amazing as Tony.

They showed up in the time window we agreed on. They were super careful to cover furniture and made sure to clean up everything after they were done. I now have new windows all throughout the major entry points and have a cool new avocado door

When I bought my windows and doors, I was told everything was covered by lifetime warranty. I was given warranty paperwork from them stating this same thing. When I reported the handle on the sliding patio door, I was told this was not covered, as a new screen door was required. None the less, I placed a down payment and ordered one. It has been at least three months, with no less than six phone calls, two of their cancelled service appointments, messages left for the Service Supervisor, and still no results. This is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

Im pretty disappointed. This company's customer service is terrible. We used Thompson Creek to replace 16 windows in our house and financed the deal through them. This was in October. When the install date came in the beginning of December- 2 of our 3 -same sized windows came in incorrectly. They couldn't be installed until February! Then February comes around, the windows are installed but the screen is loose.

I'm still waiting for them to fix them. Oh and I asked for compensation for all the trouble of having mismatched windows for the entire holiday season and I was offered a laughable $75 on a sixteen thousand dollar project. I talked them up to $150 comp. How pathetic. And they have cancelled appoints on me due to rain and processing delays every time I see their number I know they are telling me about some other delay.

But guess what?! they sent us cookies after the project and reminded us to give a review. how nice. Here is my honest review I'm not thrilled the product is nice but when you order in October and are still dealing with issues March, you wonder how reliable they will be if we need to make a warranty claim or responsive of problems in the future. Below is a photo of the mismatched windows that was left for months because of a measuring and/or data entry mistake during the entire holiday season.

Thompson Creek was an absolute delight to work with. They really have a passion for helping their clients solve their problems. I know I could have found cheaper windows, but the quality of the product, the professionalism of everyone I have dealt with and with their warranties are unmatched. I scheduled 4 companies to come out to give me estimates; one never showed, I'm still waiting on one to get me my estimate, and the other spent about 20 min in my home and then gave me a price.

The rep from Thompson Creek took the time to really listen to what we wanted and where our problem areas were, tried to save us money by offering solutions to downsize the number of windows we were getting installed. I can't say enough great things about the company, or my beautiful new windows.

We were scheduled for 12/29-12/30/2021. Three men arrived in the morning of 12/29 and started working putting down the drop cloths for protecting the floors. The men that were working were Luis Gonzalez, Mario Quintania, Son Yung. They started on the upper floor, then later in the pm made there way down to the living area. Upon finishing the second day around 7 pm the installation was exceptional!

They did a beautiful job, took their time as if it was their home. I am so pleased with their work that when I need more work done, I want the same crew to come back. They were very polite, new exactly what had to be accomplished and the finished product was excellent. I'm positive our heating bill will be much lower this winter. Thank you all!

I am the owner of a small condominium that needed several windows replaced. I contacted Thompson Creek back on September 15 2021 and signed the contract to have them install windows for 2 bedrooms and a living room. Initially the project was scheduled for Dec 27th because i have a custom size storm door. I received a Voicemail on 12/17 stating that the items were not available and that the project would be pushed back to February. Upset i called and spoke with someone who had the team first install the windows and then come back to install the door.

When the technicians arrived (845am) i had received no call or email with an estimated time of arrival (unprofessional). They installed the windows in the living room but 1 screen had a tear. The windows installed in the bedroom contained 2 dents (poor quality) and they did not bring the correct windows for the 2nd bedroom (incompetence). The technicians said they would bring the window along with the storm door in February.

I was told that a follow call would be initiated but i have yet to hear from Thompson Creek. At this point i am highly unsatisfied with the service provided and would not recommend/refer this company. They promise quality/assurance but provide subpar service/materials.

We purchased a 20 year old house and the front door needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, it was a non-standard width with side-lite windows. While it took a few months to have the door built, when it came time to install the door they noticed that the wood under the door frame had rotted out. They replaced that for us with no extra hassle and installed our RING doorbell, even though that wasn't part of the package.

I would HIGHLY recommend Thompson Creek to anybody looking to get work done (doors/windows/gutters). We got (4) estimates and went with them because they are locally owned/operated as well as being EXTREMELY well priced.

Will update this review once Thompson Creek resolves my issue: UPDATE2: 7 days, 4 phone calls, 4 emails, no response from the company except this ridiculous comment below that they want me to write them in an online form and explain what the problem is, as if they didn't already know. The company knows what the problem is. Your company created the problems.

I know for a fact all of this is well documented in my order file, and as of noon the 3rd replacement window still wasn't ordered. A SUPERVISOR NEEDS TO CALL ME. UPDATE 1: It has been 4 days since Thompson Creek called me and said they couldn't install my replacement window. No one has told me when my SECOND replacement window will arrive. I've called them twice, emailed them twice.

When I finally got a hold of a person at the company - she told me the 2nd replacement hadn't even been ordered yet even though they said 4 days ago that they were going to do that. Thompson Creek took over 5 months to deliver 2 windows to me, one of which was cracked when they installed it. They took another 3 weeks to get me a replacement, and cracked that window too as it was being delivered! This is the most unprofessional home improvement company I've dealt with as a homeowner. Based on my experience so far, I would not recommend them to anyone.

The experience started with a sales meeting at our townhouse, which went well, typical pushy salesman but the company offers quality warranties. After accepting the deal and paying a deposit the salesman left and we could never get in touch with him again. We wanted to change a trim option on the installation and contacted him but he never bothered to call back and we ended up dealing with one of their in house project managers.

We got the changes we wanted after multiple calls and emails. The date came that the windows were to be installed and one person was at the home waiting. The company called the cell phone of the person who was at work that day saying in a voicemail that no one is home and the installation team had to leave. No one knocked on the door or even drove by that morning in a work truck so this was a complete lie.

They rescheduled to the next Saturday morning. Saturday came and the installation team arrived about 9:30am. The representative from the company stopped by at about 10:30am and walked directly into the house like he owned the place and up to my mother who lives in this townhome mainly. He was a very off-putting, overweight, tall man with a gross beard, he aggressively asked my mom if she had the money to pay the team when the job was done.

We said you want us to pay the installers you will not be back? He said " yea you pay them". Absolutely disgusting representation of this company and this would be a reason that I never have them install anything again. This situation felt unsafe and the guy was a total creep. The windows they produce are great however their installation team and the people who set up everything from their office are so poor at what they do.

Anyone getting Thompson Creek windows should just work with a quality contractor and not make our mistake. There is no reason to have them install the windows when they outsource the installation to independent contractors that are extremely unreliable. They did nothing for us despite costing a full day of work to be there for an installation they never showed up to.

I've waited 10-weeks before posting this review. Rick Wuest, President of Thompson Creek sent me an email, stating he would love to read my review. I regret he did not read any of my emails where I asked for help and alerted him to the problem. ----- Bottom-line upfront -- I replaced every window and all sliding glass doors at my residence. The installation team was proactive in identifying and documenting one window was delivered (and installed) with broken glass. ISSUE: The front-office / factory has failed to produce a replacement window ten-weeks after notification. WINTER IS COMING.

I have politely and proactively maintained contact with Thompson Creek Project Coordination Office via telephone and email during this entire process. Ten-weeks later, I still do not have a simple replacement window. I can understand if "supply chain" is an issue (never raised as one, but I am aware of news reports effecting many industries). What I cannot understand nor accept is the poor communication and abysmal follow-up. I am dissatisfied by the Thompson Creek Office Staff. I am otherwise satisfied with the product.

I'm so fed up with this company I'm taking to yelp so. I don't even know where to begin. The sales guy sold us on the fact that we'd have our windows and storm door installed in about six weeks because they have their own materials blah blah. LIES! They pushed us out and pushed us out, wouldn't get back to us with a scheduled time, gave us a different "project coordinator" every time we called who seemed to have none of our information on file (a project coordinator is someone they appoint to take the abuse of their customers when something goes wrong but literally can't do squat about it).

They delayed installation for ridiculous reasons, the final time being because they didn't have the storm door ready (instead of setting up another time to come install that real quick and getting on with all the windows?) So everything was finally installed. Props to those people because so far the windows are great, I'll say that much.

Now we're sitting here because the super expensive storm door is already broken, they sent someone out to literally look at it and go, "yep that's broken, we'll send someone out in mid-December to fix it" -- what?!? It doesn't latch/lock and the screen is broken. How do we have to wait 3 months to get it replaced?! TL;DR -- customer service is THE worst! They don't ever return phone calls, don't keep your info on file, they are the worst. Do NOT trust these people.

Customer service: 1/5 Window quality 5/5 Installation : 3/5 I'll start by saying that I will not be coming back to have any other windows replaced by their team. I would purchase the windows again but hire a contractor to handle the work because this company was terrible. The sales man was okay, they got their job done but I would say just too pushy.

Then it came to the day of our scheduled installation. No one shows up.they text and say they are at the house but no one is outside. an hour later they say they can't wait anymore and leave. I had to take a day off of work to be home for the windows.instead of sending the installers that day I now I have to give up an entire Saturday with a 4 hour window. Saturday comes along and they show up about 2 hours into the window.

The installers didn't really speak any English so there was no way to communicate with them. The inspector shows up before the job is even halfway completed and all he asks is if we have the money for the job then leaves. I was under the impression he was supposed to inspect the job to make sure it was completed correctly. Since he never came back no one explained how to take the windows apart or anything.

We should of received some kind of discount after losing a day of work because the company didn't show up. Overall I am so beyond disgusted with how this company runs that I wouldn't recommend them to anyone even though the windows are pretty cool and good quality

The scheduled date for 27 Sept was canceled due to another issue. Finally canceled the entire project with Thompson Creek, requested all money back and remove the materials from my property.

Paid about $3,000 for 3 new windows about 7 months ago. One, is already leaking from the rain and destroying my drywall. I have called and called to have someone fix it. I'm always transferred to where nobody picks up the phone or told that "someone will call me back". It's been about 21 hours now. Still no call back. The leaky pictures are from the window that they installed.

Be warned! Don't be a sucker like me. It's probably leaking because they installed it in the pitch black of night. I know How weird that sounds. They also could have told me that they broke my ADT sign while installing the windows. I don't mind that they broke the ADT sign. That happens. They didn't have to leave the pieces of the sign in my yard though for me to clean up when they left. update: a member came out and fixed the problem as soon as they were available. Changed from 1 star to 3.

I was not happy with the hinges on my new storm door. After contacting Thompson Creek I was told the vendor said this is standard and there is nothing wrong with them. The edges are jagged and unfinished. Will not recommend nor use Thompson Creek if they stand behind this kind of product.

I had usedvThompson Creek for three different projects with complete satisfsction. I have as be also referred several other customersi called and set up an appointment to replace two skylights. While the sales re pop was very convenient as l and knowledgeable about roofing, he had no idea what skylights they would installed as long. Wasn't that we hat the quote was to be about?

I now have problem we me with shutters and gutters that they installed. I have yet to be called back. I know COVID has put extreme pressures on companied, but others are providing customer service. This is not what one would expect.

We are very happy with our new great windows and recommend Thompson Creek for their excellent windows, fair pricing and fantastic service. Each of the Thompson Creek team members were fantastic. The professionalism and support we received beginning with our initial virtual meeting with their sales rep (Joshua), to the install team and the local area manager who stopped by to make sure the install was going well. They all made us feel very comfortable and answered all our questions. The install team was very respectful, did a great job and cleaned up after completing their work.
