Pleasanton Glass Co. - For Estimates

I wanted to take a moment at write this review for The Pleasanton Glass Company (hereafter referred to as TPGC). They replaced our old framed shower with a frameless shower and we could not be happier. The entire process was smooth from start to finish. The Pleasanton Glass Company customer service was exemplary. To start, when we were just window chopping Ray Smith took his time to talk TO us not AT us.

He asked us a lot of questions so that he had an understanding of what we both needed and wanted in our new shower door. He then gave us a range of options taking the time to give the pros and cons of each option. When it came time to discuss things like handles, bars and glass finishes, Ray took the same approach. The estimating team TPGC was fantastic!

They were able to quickly come in and accurately measure the space. That's not a big deal but they also were able to point out where the builders of the original house didn't make the walls 100% straight. My wife and I never even noticed but the person doing the measuring made sure to account for the super-slight lean in his project drawings so that the glass was cut on the right angle to go flush to the wall. TPGC also did a great job repairing the damage left from the removal of the old frame.

The only hiccup was supply chain issues in terms of the actual glass and some of the parts but everything that was directly controllable by TPGC was handled beautifully. TPGC also came back out to add some additional clear silicon caulking when there was a slight leak. I can't say enough about TPGC's professionalism and customer service.

Pleasanton Glass on the phone seemed annoyed at my request to schedule work early due to a home sale. But, he scheduled and the workers were timely, pleasant, tidy and efficient with removing and reinstalling two very large bathroom mirrors. I would recommend in spite of the phone contact.

Had a great experience dealing with Pleasanton Glass Co. We wanted to install bathtub glass door. They arranged to be installed within a week. Travis the person who installed the door did a great job. Very satisfied with the job they did. Highly recommend them.

Got glass to replace the plastic ones in my garage door to reduce the heating. Great price and quick delivery. I did the install which was pretty easy with help from my wife.

Created artwork work for my kitchen and family transition. Install, scheduling and expectations went well.

As much as I would like to give this local business more stars, I can only give it an OK rating for now. The window in my guest bedroom is starting to crack so my family picked this place to fix it. They gave us a quote of $150 for everything after sending over a picture. The person was supposed to come in the morning. He apparently rescheduled for 3pm but my dad didn't know they had left a voicemail the previous day so he wasted his morning.

The worker showed up at 2pm and no one was around - I only know because of my doorbell camera so yet again, my family was inconvenienced by having to call over there to get him to come back. He finally arrived and was only able to measure the window and not install it. He said he has to cut it but doesn't know when he'll be back. So, we've been inconvenienced multiple times and I was hoping to have a new window in by the time my guest came over in the evening.

I think they are going to give a discount for the trouble, at least I would hope so. Next time, I hope they are more clear about the process because they made it seem like everything would be fixed right away. I will update my review once the window is installed.

Love these guys. Needed some plastic molding strips for shower door. Valley Plumbing was selling by the foot totaling close to $100. The guys at Pleasanton Glass sold me exactly what I needed for $25. Very honest and friendly.

Glass top on an antique desk broke. Ray made the process easy. I sent him pics and measurements. And a week later.all is fixed! Erik (I think i got the name right) delivered and "installed" the new glass. That involved taking off a heavy "riser" off the desk to put the new glass down and help me be sure everything was plugged in correctly. Great job, nice attitude, and just an easy process. On top of it, the price was reasonable. Thank you! Highly recommend!

Amazing service for my requirements. I was looking to do bracing for my aquarium. Mine was not a regular shape. This gentleman cut the glass pieces perfectly for the shape and size asked. He made my day. Thanks a lot.

Fantastic! Above and beyond. I had a glass door panel on my fireplace shatter. Brought in the whole door for them to repair just the one panel and they replaced the glass and also polished up the rest of the door to look sparkling new. It looks way better than it ever has and it was done in just a few days. I also found out that this place has been locally family owned for over 50 years (after asking about a cool old newspaper article on the wall)! It must be because of the great service. Would recommend, and will absolutely return if I ever need any other glass fixed.

Jennifer the owner was delightful. Please support your local businesses during these tough times.especially this one. She helped me get my glass replaced on a window in a few hours. I cant thank her enough because I was freezing my butt off as this window is right behind my desk in my home office : great service and price. 2 things that hard to come by lately.

Amazing customer service. Ray went above and beyond in helping me replace the glass from one of the front window of my house. Great quality work too. Had my window looking like new in no time at all. Highly recommend using their services. Hopefully never have to, but will definitely go there again.

Fast response and great service! My wife and I were shopping around for a custom shower glass enclosure for our new shower and Pleasanton glass was fantastic! Their technician Victor was prompt for the measurement appointment and was very courteous. He asked about our preferences for positioning the glass and the finish of the hardware that we wanted.

He measured our shower at 8am on a Monday and we got the quote back that afternoon and approved it. Victor was back at our home that same Friday at noon to complete the install. The installation was seamless and very neatly done. We are extremely happy with the work, the responsiveness and the product supplied by Pleasanton glass and we will certainly be supporting them for future needs!

Pleasanton Glass replaced most of the windows in our house in two phases. Both times the windows arrived within the time frame specified and were replaced by courteous staff. I'm very happy with the recommendations they made about the style and type of windows that were installed.

After the first company I called couldn't come for for over for a week, Jennifer of the Pleasanton Glass Company saved the day! Though she was fully booked, she made a special early morning appointment when she learned of our shattered patio sliding door! I really, really appreciated that. Pleasanton Glass Company has always been quick to respond to my estimate requests. I look forward to working with the Pleasanton Glass Company again!

I've used Pleasanton Glass for Extra Large mirrors, glass over my kids desks and now a new shower. The shower took a lot of patience. It wasn't a problem that they had to come out to re-measure several times. All the workers were very friendly. My 2 Nd quote took over a week & a half, so I stopped by the office to make sure they didn't forget about me.

The man inside the shop was Super busy, really nice and he explained he was swamped. I understood. A week later, I called & didn't get a response so I emailed their office to confirm the date and time of our install date. To my SURPRISE Jen called me back. To my surprise she was the Owner & this was my 1 st experience with her. She had a lot to say.

Put it this way. my questions to her was "Did you call here to start a fight with me?" She had a negative & demeaning attitude towards as if I'd done something wrong. Her attitude was unnecessary & unapologetic. Something that should of taken a week and a half took 5 weeks and she blamed me. There was no reason for her "Off Putting" phone call to me.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. I got a quote from them on 6/24 and after waiting for almost 3 weeks, they said, they can't do the job. They had sent the technicians to measure twice - First guy didn't measure didn't measure properly the first time. Missed on the cut outs. The next time measurement was fine. Eventually they refused to honor the quote. We wasted lot of time with them : They should not give quotes if they can't honor it, Very very unprofessional

Glass on my 3 windows were frosted after 20+yrs. Pleasanton Glass sent out 2 men to replace them after 5 days I contacted them. The job was completed in 1.5hrs. Windows were sparkle and no messes left behind for me to clean up. I'd recommend this shop.

I had a broken bathroom window that fortunately was easy to remove from the slider. The employees here were phenomenal. They responded immediately to my request and got it done in about an hour from when I dropped it off. I will definitely do all my window repair needs with this place.

Pleasanton Glass did a Top Notch custom job on our shower doors and custom cut mirror for our Master Bath remodel. They were extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with. I would absolutely recommend them for this type of work. Joanne F.

These guys showed up for 10 minutes, charged me $125.00 Ridiculous! I paid but will inform everybody what rip offs they are!

I was looking for some glass shelves for some IKEA cabinets (we had changed the depth of the cabinets so the standard ones from IKEA wouldn't fit). Emailed over our dimensions and got a quote within a couple of hours. Ordered the glass and it arrived within a week. Shelves fit perfectly, I'm happy!

Very easy company to work with. I had no issues getting a hold of them to order and schedule the work. The glass splash guard went in and it finished our beautiful bathroom remodel. My only issue was that the installers, who were very nice and skilled, did not clean up after they finished. I ended up having to vacuum all the tile dust that fell from the holes that were drilled. Other than that, great overall experience.
