We had a window that was not operating properly. Made an appointment and Ed showed up on time. Pleasant. COVID-19 protocols in place. He checked out the problem; pulled off the window brackets and fixed the problem in less than 5 minutes! And then, refused to charge for the service or the call. Will definitely call again next time I need windows or window service.

We had 50K worth of custom Marvin windows put in. The install went ok, but not great, gouged sills, miscommunication with sealing the wood, etc. But the reason I am posting this is because a month or less after install, an interior pane developed a crack. West Coast passed it along to Marvin as a warranty issue. Months have gone by. The pane was ordered, but the only installer is in Idaho.
He finally came out, only to discover they had ordered the wrong pane (despite my picture). Now the new pane is on order. We have listed our home for sale. I had hoped to have this fixed before we began to show- that was in May. It is now July. What I wished had happened was that I made the call to West Coast and they replaced the pane. Its not as if we are years down the road.
This was within weeks of the install. Take responsibility, do a job well, own an error, make it right. These are the hallmarks of a good company. West Coast Windows, Inc has failed us in that regard.

Poor customer service with staff that didn't seem to care less about my experience. First meeting with Ed to prepare estimate went well. Every contact with reception staff was curt, starting with my follow up to amend my bid options. She acted like I was bothering her with my call. I made it clear from the beginning that I wanted to install in a week window between tenants.
They'd "get back to me". 4 days passed with no word so I left messages for the reception, no word back, thenI left a message for Ed. Finally a message back with a very inconvenient date which I took out of desperation. The installation went OK, but it was raining and no preparation was made to keep the house clean. I scurried around laying down construction paper.
They didn't finish in the allotted time and simply announced they'd be back tomorrow. No apologies, or attempt to ask what work for me. Final straw, the bill sent to the site address instead of my mailing address with annoying "late bill" message, despite my being very clear to provide my actual billing address at the onset. 2 stars instead of 1 only because I like the windows they put in.

I purchased a double outside fir framed glass set of doors a number of years back. Over those years I have had four non-warrenty problems with the doors. Every time, witout exception, when I have contacted West Coast Windows it has been a perfect example of customer non-service. The latest time I talked to Pam on Thursday around 1:00 PM on the 18th.
She said that she would have their maintenance person call me back. This was after I told her I had a severe back problem and these doors were critical to me getting around. After waiting 3 1/2 days (admittedly 2 days were weekend) I called back and got Brett. This was the same person I had talked to on three previous problems. On all three cases Brett made it very clear he was not interested in helping.
He told me they were currently very understaffed but he would have Pam call me back. That was about three days ago. I really wouldn't mind if they told me that thery are only interested in selling packages and not maintenance but leaving me hanging out there may not be the best business practice.
