KG doors installed an exit arm in our complex. It worked for a week and then was told bad motor. They never returned to fix after multiple calls. The man was really cool but service is terrible. 0stars

Called and scheduled an appointment.on the day of the appointment no one showed up or called. I called 10 minutes after the scheduled appointment to see if perhaps they are running late, but no answer. I decided to go with another company. (Response to Company remarks)I never missed the appointment. I called ahead of schedule time and asked for a reschedule as anyone should do if something comes up etc.(something you guys did not do for me)you guys called back after my 1st appointment schedule time and assured me a reschedule date.accountability and own it, going on here and making it seem like a potential customer fault shows where u guys stand.

Josh and KG company are excellent. Josh and crew replaced my 16' garage door (door, rails, sensors, wiring, opener, springs) AND repaired (welded) a broken iron gate in less than 1/2 day. Guy has an arc welder on his truck. Ignore the negative reviews about his appointments. I called him and had an on-site quote in 2 days and all work completed same week. His prices are fair. He's my go-to door and gate guy from now on.

Did not show up for appointment for estimate and did not return call when I asked if/when he would arrive. Others have noted same issue. Unfortunately I took time off work to meet them.

I had another company come out. The guy looked at it, barely touched anything, and told me that I needed a new motor, rail, etc. for $495. Gidi from Signature came out, looked at the unit, and fixed the problem for $125 (no need for a new motor).

Wouldn't you know just weeks after I bought new remotes (old ones died) for our Genie garage door opener, the motor decides to quit. This is our second time using K.G.; both times have been problem-free. Came Friday at the scheduled time to diagnose the motor, got the door to work once and then it refused to budge. Since the Genie was from 1992, and we've had to replace everything else associated with this house, not surprising.

So we needed a new opener and he recommended Chamberlain, which is a good brand. Showed up on time today, got straight to work (no-nonsense and very efficient), no mess from any of the dismantling or re-wiring, and left old parts as asked so I could scrap them.

I called and got 4 estimates for a gate opener for our condo building. KG Doors was the best priced, everything went great with the installation and they followed up when I had a question afterwards. I would highly recommend them

Great customer service. Msg the company for a quote at mid night and holiday weekend wasn't expecting a quick response but I did that's what you called a great customer service. He follow up the next business day and sent someone over right away fixed my broken electric gate that wasn't closing and opening correctly.

These guys rock! As is always the case, without warning my garage door took a crap right in the middle of the day and just got stuck at the halfway point. I called three other places before I got to KG. KG was the only place to say "We'll be there in an hour"! Josh came over as promised and had my door fixed in fifteen minutes! Awesome, awesome work!

I called and made an appointment for early afternoon, and found out in the morning I could do it earlier and Josh came before our original scheduled time. Josh is very professional, nice and did the job I wanted. Josh completed the job within the hour. I was happy with the price I was quoted and will always call KG doors and gates for all my repairs going forward. I would highly recommend Josh to all.

Similar to other reviews, Joshua makes an appointment, and didn't show up. He messaged me the day off, when he was supposed to meet me, stating that he had another job to finish. I had stayed home from work to meet him. He said he would come by later in the afternoon, but in the end again didn't show or message either this time.

Josh came by my house on a Friday to assess the problem with my garage. He told me it needed to be replaced and he would be out to do it in Monday between 9-10. He took half the cost for as a deposit. Come Monday, he did not show up. I called several times, left multiple messages, and attempted to message him on yelp with no response. So now he has my money and didn't show up for the job or respond to my inquiries about what is going on. I'm really disappointed.

I received an estimate to replace my old overhead garage door. I then had the work done about 2 weeks later. The door was replaced but it was left with gaps on the sides and base of door. Josh did the work and when asked why this was not completed with weather striping and finished on sides to eliminate gaps, he said "I didn't know that you wanted that".

I had asked for the door to be replaced and assumed that it included the finishing too. He said it would be an additional cost. He took my old door and placed it at the end of the ally- said he was sure a scrapper would come pick it up- he said he would come back to put weather stripping on base of door but nothing would be done about the side gaps.

Never heard from him again. If I could give a lower rating I would. Josh did a poor job and I would NOT recommend this company for anything. Unprofessional and did a half-assed job.

I had a small job. I just needed the electronic arm replaced on my existing gate. I called the company that originally installed everything. They blew me off. So I called Josh at KG and he did everything perfectly. He returned my call in a prompt manner. He told me the price right over the phone. We made an appointment to install. He came out the next week and on time.

He removed the broken arm & installed the new one. That was May/2015 and the device has worked perfectly since. He even threw in a free remote! I can't say enough good things about this company

I contacted this company because of the good reviews. Josh got back to me right away, and we scheduled a free estimate for an electric gate install. He called the day of the mtg to cancel and reschedule - his previous appointment took longer than expected - etc. So we scheduled for the following day. On my way to the rescheduled meeting, I was running about 10 minutes late - due to traffic, so I called to let him know, and when he answered, it took him a moment to remember - and then he remembered that he forgot to call me to cancel.

I was taken aback - but I understand how time can get away from you, and that things come up - and I needed a bid, so I rescheduled again, for the following morning - asking for a call before the appointment. I did not receive a call - my call went straight to voicemail - and I still have not received any kind of message. I would've much preferred him telling me he didn't have the time, rather than to waste mine.

Had a sliding gate (wood/metal combo) built by KG last August. Was really excited after I got it put up. I agree with everyone else that these guys are on time, and definitely quick at their work. However, not even a full year into it, and I have several deep rust spots all over the black paint and the gate has a funny lean developing to it. During building, I was on a budget so I couldn't jump to the cedar upgrade, and I regret that in hindsight.

My treated boards are all warped and funky looking now. I'm going to end up having to remove all the boards and replace them as well as sand, prime, and repaint the rusty areas. Probably end up doing it myself because I want to make sure every nook and cranny is covered. Want to make sure it lasts because the gate wasn't cheap. Not sure if I was an anomaly with the experience. I really liked working with these guys. Just wished the outcome was better.

My garage door stopped working a few days ago. I don't have a "garage door guy" so I decided to jump on Yelp and take a look. After reading up on a few companies I decided to call KG. Josh answered the phone and we had a short convo about the situation. I told him I happened to take the day off and was on my way back from Wisconsin but I would be home by 2pm.

I knew it was short notice but I was hoping he could squeeze me in today and he did. Josh showed up when he said he was going to, got right to work, did a thorough job, and went over everything with me. He answered any questions I had and charged me a fair price. Called these guys on a thursday, got a really reasonable quote. Decided to have the work done on the following saturday, these guys were here within hours and had the work done fast! I will recommend them to anyone who asks.

I just had my sliding cantilever gate completed and it looks great. It took about 3 visits since the concrete had to set but it was fast, efficient, and quality work.

I called because one of the chains on my clients garage door got unleashed. I couldn't leave the garage door in the condition it was in but I needed to go. My call was picked up right away. I realize my expectation to have someone come out on a short notice was a difficult proposition from the moment I made the call. However, Josh said he would be out as soon as possible and he exceeded my expectations.

Our garage door spring broke this morning and couldn't leave for work, looked on google and called acouple companies and described what was wrong and kg doors was the better price and seemed more knowledgeable about fixing our problem than the other companies I talk to. I made an appointment same day and they showed up when they said they would and fixed the door fast. They also gave me pointers on future maintenance and a decent warranty for what they did.
