Cressy Door in Kent was wonderful to work with. From our initial visit to final installation the process was great. Both James who sold us the door and James who installed it were great to work with. I called them when the gate company I was using couldn't make the gates work properly even when new. Within two days they came out to diagnose the issue, get the needed parts, and install them. Everything is working great now. Thank you Cressy Door.

We were very clear with the Cressy salesperson about our expectations. I work out in the garage and needed the garage glass panels to be frosted so that you couldn't see through them. Also that for security of the garage and house. We met with Dan the salesperson and discussed at length the exercise device mounted on the wall and the need for privacy and security. Dan consulted and offered an option of glass that would only permit someone to see into the garage a few feet even with the light on.

He specifically said this was a new product line for Cressy and said that he did not have a sample of the actual glass but that the outcome would be as we expected. He never suggested that the only way to have privacy would be to always have the lights off. As the garage was being installed, we expressed our dissatisfaction with the glass and were told that was what we ordered so oh well, live with it.

There was no way to change it. There was no company concession. We asked about privacy film as a possible solution. The manager, Bob Wahl said that he would look into it. He never did and stopped returning phone calls. It's pretty poor customer service to sell a product using consultative selling, have the customer dissatisfied and to make no concession. I would look at other garage door company's and not use this one.

I purchased a gas fireplace insert from Cressy. The first time my power went out I tried to use the battery backup but it didn't work even with new batteries. They wouldn't help me diagnose what the problem was. Cressy wanted to charge me $350 to send someone to look at it even though it was only a little over a year old.

I Called Cressy Door after the Genie opener failed to work. Gil (the service Technician) promptly called me back and talked me through resetting the Genie opener, and fixed the door without having to have a site visit. Excellent help and Thanks!

This is an overdue shout out to excellent service by garage door repairman Gil. It was Thanksgiving week, serviceman Gil was super busy with orders as Cressy was short staffed with others taking days off that week. Gil called to let me know that he got my request, but due to short staffing, he would put me on his schedule for the Monday after Thanksgiving holiday.

I was sad but understood. Well guess what?! I got a call from Gil the day before Thanksgiving saying he was near my address and could meet me in 20 minutes. I was in downtown Seattle at the time, but raced back to the house (safely!) and Gil was already working his repairman magic. Just loved his willingness & flexibility to squeeze me in what I'm sure was a very busy week for him.

Thanks Cressy, and especially Gil, for outstanding service. Needless to say, Cressy will always be on my recommendation list to anyone that needs their services. Thanks again Gil.you totally rock!

Late Sunday night we had something seriously wrong with our garage door, couldn't open it at all, not even manually. Called first thing Monday morning and Jessica was extremely understanding and concerned. She transferred me to a gentleman, Gil, who immediately assessed the problem and was out the same day with a new part it needed! The tech, Gil, was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I have had Cressy come out before and was very satisfied. I can't express how their service and honest work is appreciated! Highly recommend this company.

Cressy door was slow and delivered and installed the wrong door. The door they installed was more expensive than the one we ordered and they wanted to charge us for their mistake. They also didn't want to re-install door trim they had removed. they installed a safety sensor on rotten wood and now they are refusing to stand behind their installation. Do not use this company!

They have done multiple fireplaces for my commercial units, they are next to impossible to reach, and the technicians typically don't show up the day they scheduled. Even though they are impossible to reach, , once they arrive (not on their scheduled day) they call and if you don't respond they leave in under 5 minutes, and other times they arrive with out all the parts, and have even told me they entered a unit and our framing wasn't good enough when they never even entered the building.

Now they say they're not sure they can even work with me because they've lost money on sending guys there to not do the job. Not sure how sending a guy 2-4 days after his scheduled arrival at whatever time is convenient to them with no communications about their arrival date or time whatsoever is my fault, and super not sure how their technician lying to get out of working is my fault either. Avoid like the plague.

James Welker with Creesy Door and Fireplace is awesome. I just purchased new construction and Cressy Door and Fireplace installed the two fireplaces and garage door. James personally came out and walked me through the operation, care and maintenance of each item as well as supplied me with how-to videos he personally made that covered everything we'd spoken about in person.

He also noticed that one of the fireplaces was missing a screw due to the chaos of new construction and mailed me a new one. Additionally, the quality of their products and installation is first rate. We couldn't be happier

My garage door had been off track for years and I just kept putting off calling for it to be repaired, because it was just one more thing to do. Finally I called Cressy door, who had originally installed the door, during our remodel. Gil arrived and was able to quickly assess what else wrong with our door. After quickly fixing the issues and giving the system a "tune up." Gil provided me with an explanation as to why this happened in the first place and when to book service with Cressy again. Now our door is super quiet and operates like its brand new. Thank you, Gil. I am a very satisfied customer.

Just had my gas insert fireplaces serviced by two of the best technicians ever! Cressy literally sent in the Marines, as the lead tech was a Marine veteran! Talk about disciplined and professional, Marines are the BEST! Our techs, Tony and Stephen, were professional, thorough and clean! I didn't even know Cressy serviced fireplaces until, while scheduling annual garage PM while on hold, heard that Cressy also serviced fireplaces in addition to garage doors. So, after scheduling my garage door PM I asked to schedule annual PM service on my gas fireplace inserts. I was promptly transferred to the fireplace scheduler and now have my garage door and fireplaces in tip top condition. Cressy, thanks, keep up the great work! Cheers!

Gil was extremely helpful and helped me identify the issue over call. He also walked me through step by step over the phone how to fix the issue. He stayed on the line patiently while I fixed the issue on my end, and saved me $165! Had a great experience, would definitely recommend Cressy Door and Fireplace!

Cressy was wonderful to work with! They answered all of our questions quickly and gave us so many different options to choose from. They even came out to our house and showed us some samples in person so we could really see what we were going to purchase. The install went smoothly and our new garage door looks great! I would highly recommend choosing Cressy if you're in the market for a new garage door!

My fireplace is working and looks much better! And I felt the price was fair. But they really scratched up my bamboo floor with their equipment (a large vaccuum), which is pretty frustrating and not easily remedied. I also had to ask and insist that they wear their masks, which should honestly be a given at this point.

Chose Cressy over 4 other bids for new garage door replacements. They were in the middle in terms of price, but it was the reviews from friends and neighbors that swayed me their way. Also, when it comes to home services, quality, locality and longevity is very important to me. It sure helped that they accommodated me in their showroom to help choose doors, color and styles. Paul was the sales specialist working with me and was fantastic. Steve was the installer. Was awesome to talk to and discuss matters during the installation. He was done installing two doors in under 6 hours. The new doors look fantastic. I would highly recommend Cressy Door for your garage door or fireplace needs.

It's snowing and we call for help around noon. Amazingly Gil came that same afternoon and did wonderful mechanical artistry (and jujitsu) to repair our garage door. Gil did a great job explaining how the tension spring works and repairing the motor-to-door connection that sheared off when the old system failed. Price was reasonable given how much work and time went into the fix. We are super thankful and glad we found Cressy and Gil.

Could not be happier with the service I just received from Cressy! Had issue with garage door not able to shut late in the evening. The local rep called back within a few minutes of my call to the service. He walked me through the process to manually shut the door so as to avoid the steep off hour fee. I received a call first thing in the morning from Gil who asked me several questions to diagnose the issue. Gil was able to walk me through a slight recalibration that resolved the problem. Again, saving me the cost of an onsite visit. My experience could not have been more pleasant.

In a phrase, terrible, incompetent service. I had to get a glass replacement panel for my garage door. The guy handling the order, Steve, seemed very nice on the phone but it was all downhill from there. Steve told me it would take a week or two to get the panel. - Steve goes out of town, passes me off to another guy who promptly "forgot" to order the panel, making the timeframe even longer. - I had to pick it up; you'd think for $200 for a piece of glass, it might include delivery. - Try to get it installed but whoops!

They gave me the wrong size. Never did find out if it was Cressy's error or the manufacturers'. - Called to get a new panel and Steve said he sent an email to the manufacturer but, two days later, still no answer from him. - I call to tell them I'm returning the panel for a refund and NOT reordering the right size from them. Steve tells me there's "no manager here today" and, when I ask for the voicemail for the manager, he laughs and says she never set it up.

So he says I'll have to wait until Monday to speak to her. They understaff on Friday and don't even have a manager with a voicemail. Wow, that's a sure a professional company. He must have gotten the message because the not-there manager calls me and says I can bring it back and get a refund. When I verify that yes, I can come today and get it done, she says, "Yes, but I go out to get the mail at 10:30 am and it takes awhile so don't come then." You can't make this stuff up. Don't use Cressy.

Worst customer service and scheduling. They forgot half of the job and showed up empty handed and tried to blame the ohouse owner. Don't do business with them as you will regret. I was forced to as our home builder had purchased items from them for our house.

Many Thanks to Cressy. They put a beautiful contemporary garage door in our house 2 years ago and I stupidly backed into it two days ago. I called Cressy; my call was handled immediately and I was set up with an appt. Next day, Steve came out and got it operable. All hassle free and fast. Thank You!

These guys are great. Our garage door opener motor died and I called another company who had previously repaired a broken spring on the door. They never called back. I heard a radio ad for Cressy during a Mariner game so I tried them. The receptionist took my information and said a salesperson would call back. The salesperson Steve called within 5 minutes.

He made a recommendation and didn't try to pressure or upsell. The installation was scheduled a couple days out. It went smoothly. The installer Gil called me when he was 30 minutes out and had the new opener installed in less than an hour. He also reprogrammed our old remotes so that they work with the new opener and made sure the old key pad was programmed as well. All around great experience from intake, to sale, to install.

Quoted me $5000 to install my garage door and was antagonistic on the phone. The other 2 quotes were $550 and $800 and a pleasure to work with.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY Cressy charged us a premium rate for fireplace doors that were supposed to be the best high-temperature glass they could get, both doors were mis-installed, one door buckled, failed and blew up, setting a fire in our house and putting our family in peril. Cressy not only took off with one of the doors and never came back with it, but also never responded to calls to rectify the situation. Nearly 4k spent that we lost.

Here is our horror story. Cressy door installed our brand new Genie garage door opener year end 2013. October 2015 it stopped working, didnt open, nothing worked. We called cressy door and they said they would do us a favor and complain to Genie to get us a new power unit and it would take 8-10 days to receive. After that 10 days, they said it would take 2 weeks before they had someone available to install.

Finally after a month a couple of technicians arrived with unit to install, only to find out they ordered the wrong unit. Now we will have to wait another 8-10 days to receive correct unit and who knows how long to install it. Stay away from this company. They are a bag of excuses and unprofessionalism.

I feel like I've been robbed at gunpoint by this company! In an attempt to be a proactive homeowner and get maintenance taken care of before problems occur, I called Cressy for my garage door opener. Their label was on the wall inside our garage from the previous owner and and I figured they had installed the opener and would be familiar with it.

There wasn't anything really wrong with the garage door opener aside from a few squeaks and shudders but we had been in the home for about six years and I figured it was time for someone to do a tune-up on it. I called Cressy to schedule an appointment and the guy told me it would cost $140 for service on the opener. A little steep, thought I, but I assumed that - for $140 - they would take everything apart, clean and oil the whatnots, replace worn parts, etc., etc. Well, the Cressy guy was here for all of ten minutes, and that includes the time he spent talking to me and filling out the paperwork for the bill.

All he did, apparently, was to spray some WD-40 type stuff on some of the parts. I didn't even see what the "work" entailed because, by the time I had gone upstairs to make a cup of coffee, he was finished. And, it turns out that he didn't even spray all of the moving parts because, just a few months later, the door was screeching and sticking. (We gave it a spray and it works fine now.) Granted, they told me the cost of the service but, silly me, I had assumed that a tune-up service would involve really SERVICING the garage door opener.

I foolishly assumed that all of the parts would be examined, especially the motor, and any necessary parts replaced. The motor casing was still completely dusty after the guy left - it literally hadn't been touched. There was an old rusty wire hanging out of it that was still there afterwards. This is the kind of company that takes advantage of their customers by charging exorbitant rates for minimal work - I wish I could give negative stars. I've never been so disappointed with a home-maintenance service.

I feel foolish and naive for having spent my limited budget on pretty much nothing. I don't like leaving negative reviews and I purposely waited a few months just so I'd have a cooling off period and not leave an angry review, but I'm still livid every time I think about how I was ripped off. $140 for ten minutes "work"? They should have either prorated the charge or clearly explained that all their "service" consisted of was a few spritzes of WD-40. Hardly what I consider a tune-up. Thumbs down!

I scheduled a day and time for Cressy to visit and give us an estimate to replace the 6 garage doors in our building's garage, and took the day off work to meet them here. They didn't show up in the time window they set. When talking to them on the phone, they said they didn't plan to come out today and would absolutely not make it at any point today, even though this is the only day I could (and did) schedule to meet them for an estimate- because of the day off work - and while explaining this, they curtly hung up on me. Unprofessional, has no qualms about wasting your time. Can't count on them to show up when they're supposed to.
