Desert King Windows

On the last week of April they showed up and installed the doors and some of the windows without screens for any of the sliding glass doors and windows. They just sent me an email saying the remainder of the widows might show up by 8/11/2022 which happens to be exactly 1 year since I signed the contract. They never mentioned the screens. I strongly urge anyone reading this to NOT consider using them. They still do not return my calls or respond to my emails. I will update this review one more time, either when the installation is complete or litigation has started.

Back in January we decided to check into having our 23 year old windows replaced. We had 3 companies come out and give us quotes. Desert King Windows was by far the most pleasant experience. The salesman, Koby, was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered our questions and gave us information that helped us make our choice to go with Desert King Windows.

He even returned a second time when we had more questions! Based on our 3 quotes, we knew that it was going to be at least 4 months before we would have the new windows installed. That is a long time, but obviously out of anyone's control. Once the windows arrived, the install was scheduled. In two days time, we have beautiful new windows! The crew that was sent out were very pleasant and hard working.

We received 3 quotes a year ago to replace all 15 windows and our sliding glass door. Desert King was one of them. Frank, the salesman, is extremely educated. The initial consultation was a little lengthy, but it was a big project and investment. Frank was not pushy at all. When we followed up with him almost a year later, they honored our pricing, though the cost of materials has clearly increased.

The product came a full month before we expected and installation was scheduled the very next week. The installers worked three 5-6 hour days. I think our home could have been easily done in 2 days had they worked longer hours. I'm assuming they had other jobs. They were professional, worked clean, and communicated effectively. I do wish someone would have walked the house with us upon completion so we could all align on the the finished product.

We have noticed a significant reduction in noise and dust. We can also keep our shutters open now without the inside heating up. Our sliding glass door screen is back ordered, but everything else is in and looks amazing! I would highly recommend this company for the the quality and the price.

This company is having major delivery issues. I got my windows installed which they did a great job, however did not give me screens. I called and they said it would be delivered in the next shipment. Then still not screens. I paid in full already. Its 8 months now and still no screens. Everytime I call, they say they will be in the next shipment and they have no idea.

They still keep blaming the pandemic 2 years later! I also have a sliding door on order and no word about that either. I get emails every other month saying the order is placed and it will be delayed. When I talked to their sales deparment, they said that they do not manufacture the windows. When they sold me the windows, they told me it was manufactured at their arizona plant.

All lies. They make you sign a contract before ording the windows so you are already commited to them. This company needs to be investigated and restructured. Their work atleast in what they installed seems to be okay, but whats the point, I cannot even open my windows without screens! I am extreemly dissapointed in this company. I do not think they will be around for too long.

What's fair is fair, after almost a year the replacement screens came. I'm happy they kept their word and actually to my surprise came and replaced the screens. thank you!

Just spoke with the owner Ron and wow this is a joke. He threw a temper tantrum that I posted a review even though they have not provided the second window. He is upset that this will stay on for years. Follow up with your customers let them know what's taking so long and quit blaming the pandemic a quick note telling people what's going on is all that's needed. Don't bother with this company

I purchased windows for my property. Nick and Anthony showed up on time. They were friendly and very knowledgable. I will definitely be using Desert King Windows again.

We originally ordered new windows for our house from Desert King Windows in February 2021. Yes, this was the year of supply chain woes. Desert King promised us our windows by April. The actual installation came in late June. When the installers arrived with our new windows, the patterns were not what we were expecting. They had told us they would match the old pattern as closely as possible.

One of the windows they installed had three panels, one of which had a different pattern from the other two (see picture). None of the patterned windows we received matched the others. We came to an agreement with Desert King Windows to pay a portion of their fee, and to pay the rest when they installed the windows we wanted. It is now almost December and we still do not have the windows we wanted.

The installers, Nick G and Anthony M were five star. They were prompt, efficient, polite, and very eager to please me as their customer. The windows look fantastic. The over all experience loses a star since it took 4 months between purchase and installation. Granted, some of that could have been supply chain issues, however one of our windows is still not installed because it came with a vertical open instead of horizontal like the other windows. Also, we have yet to receive any screens. Overall, a very good experience assuming we don't need to wait much longer for the rest of the order.

So when I called to schedule I told them specifically what I needed done and they said that it would not be a problem so I made the appointment and when they came out they told me they do not do that type of job so it wasted an entire half a day

Similar experience to another reviewer. This was not the first time purchasing custom window upgrades as I've had with a previous property in California(which went hassle free) I went with them because the price seemed reasonable compared to another competitor. The salesman promises you all these things and once the deal is close you get almost zero support.

I ordered in February and it took until June before they came and installed after numerous delays due to manufacturing. Even after the install it turns out I'm missing 3/5 window screens and the window screens I have were made poorly. Everytime you call for an update they will either ignore you or take a very long time if ever to reply back. These guys offer a lifetime warranty on their products but what good is that if they ignore you? Definitely lost credibility, and if I need to ever need custom windows I'm not going with them.

After reseaching many companies, and meeting with several, we chose to use Desert King to replace our old windows from the 70s. They were not the cheapest, however we decided to go with them because they are family owned, had good reviews, use their own installers, and we really like the salesman. Chris and his team were courtious, timely, neat, and did a great job. They worked around a rarity, rain in Phoenix and still finished when they said they would. I will definetly recommend them to family and friends.

Replaced 4 windows that were original to my 1969 built home. It's only been three hours since they've been installed, and i can already feel the difference in temperature. From the beginning, when I met with the estimator, to the window measuring, to the owner calling to schedule installation. And finally installation by Oscar and crew. I have nothing but praise for Desert King Windows.

I ordered windows and doors that averaged $1,800 each in November 2020. I was told it would be 6 to 8 weeks for installation. My windows were installed in April 2021, but before that, I was told one window was not manufactured properly (two panes are touching each other) and was given a choice to wait for the whole installation or to install all but the faulty window now and the other later.

I asked them to wait for the whole installation. When they called a month or two later to install, I assumed the window was replaced. When they installed my windows, only then did I learn they never did replace the faulty window. Then they made me pay all but $500, even though the $1,800 window was faulty. Big mistake because now it's June 23, 2021 and I'm still waiting for that to be replaced.

In addition, one of the patio screen doors was delivered without a track. I'm still waiting for the track so they can put the screen door in place. The screen door has been carefully tucked away in a room in my house! So two items had issues. Every time I call for an update (three times so far) they can't even give me an ETA, although the manufacture first gave us a mid May delivery on the faulty window replacement.

All they do when I call is take my name and number and promise a return phone call, but the return call never takes place. The customer service is awful. I would never recommend this company to anybody. When my former boss asked me if I would recommend this company to her, I told her I would not.

I had 10 windows replaced and 3 french doors (changed to custom sliding glass doors). Daniel Gordon came out and educated me on the benefits of dual pane windows for heat, UV and sound protection. James came to my house and spent hours getting accurate measurements for my house and answering my questions. The installation team was excellent. They explained what they would be doing over the next three days.

They covered all of the furniture, removed and re-installed the wood blinds and left my house cleaner that it was when they started! I am so pleased with the work by Desert King Windows. Jerry the salesman was very knowledgeable and explained everything. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything and initially we didn't. Installation was important to us. Jerry and Brian did a beautiful job. They showed us two options for installing the windows into our stucco openings. There was very little stucco repairs needed and little painting touch up needed. It is stunning how much these windows have reduced the heat coming into our house. Very happy with everything.

Desert King was perfect from our quote to installation. We had very old single pane, aluminum frame 80's windows that allowed in a lot of noise and dust. They helped make a couple suggestions like adding a picture window instead which turned out phenomenal and better than we'd imagined. Installers, Nick and Cooper were also incredible. Very experienced, thorough and were even able to work around the additional pool construction we had going on at the same time. Very very pleased! Thank you!

Do Not go with this company. Unless you like to wait 5 days and still not finished. Unless you like not having the sliding glass door not lock. Unless you like having a window installed and they tried to spray foam and leaving holes. Unless what you ordered isn't what was installed. I called 5 times now and they don't seam to care. 2 days now on one has come to fix anything. To say I'm unhappy is an understatement. Do not use this company

I highly recommend this company. I got quotes from four companies. Desert King was neither cheapest not most expensive, but when comparing window and door quality was clearly highest value. The salespeople and installation crew were both easy to work with. The salesman was the lowest pressure of the quotes. He showed up on time. They were the last to quote and he took a minute to figure out what my understanding of window lingo was, so I didn't have to listen to a repeat of the entire education portion of the sales pitch that I had heard multiple times before.

He focused on explaining differences of their product and it felt more like a discussion than a lecture. We had a window-to-door conversion, two patio doors, and four windows installed. Kenny and Caesar took a lot of pride in getting things just right. We work from home during the day and they helped us plan where we could be by laying out their schedule and sticking to it. Installation took 2.5 days.

The product quality is great. We upgraded from 1970s single pane windows and standard patio doors. The house stays cooler longer in the mornings. The western exposure bedroom that used to be a sauna every afternoon remains comfortable.

Showed up with no mask, but more importantly, they don't sell solid wood doors. Would have saved time and travel. You're welcome.

The guys that came out to install my new windows and sliding doors did a great job! Finished all 3 sliding doors and two upstairs windows in one day! They were friendly and hard working! Not only did they face a challenge due to finding out that the previous windows were installed very poorly and only stuck on to the stucco of the home! They also took the time to show and explain what they had discovered and took the extra time to install the new windows correctly! They all look and work beautifully! These guys were awesome! Desert King windows is definitely a step above most window replacement companies! The quality of windows and installation is superior to most! This is the best window company I've worked with and this is our 3rd home to remodel. We just love our new windows. The difference is amazing! I will always use and recommend Desert King windows as long as I'm here in AZ.

I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the door and windows and the professionalism of the two men who installed them. They arrived on time, wore masks, kept us informed of the status of this big job, and cleaned up after themselves. This job was scheduled for installation in April but with the pandemic got pushed back. Then, my family's summer travel caused another delay. The company worked with us and was most accommodating. I highly recommend Desert King Windows.

Steve @ DKW was easy to work with and was able to get my new exterior door replaced. We managed to do this all remotely due to COVID. There installers were very accommodating as I had to reschedule a few times. There tech sent me before and after pictures as I requested. I would use them again.

We started our window shopping process prior to COVID, and Desert King was one of three vendors we considered. They were hands-down the best in terms of explanation/education of products and pitching. I felt like an aficionado after Harold gave me the whole run down. He was super nice and I felt no real pressure to make a decision that day. I had two other vendors pitch their companies after Desert King and they were either WAY too pushy (a grueling 3+ hour presentation), or too vague about what they were quoting me on or options of frames/glass - if I didn't know what Harold had explained to me, I wouldn't have even known what questions to ask or what options are usually available.

Desert King was also very competitively priced for the quality of their product. They did a 2-day install and were always calling to keep me in the loop for scheduling and/or if they were running behind. They had to come back one additional day for some minor tweaks but they ensured that I was satisfied with the work and we certainly are. The windows look great, and are a huge upgrade on our older home. They cut the UV heat down drastically - we had solar screens on our west facing wall and don't even need them now with the new windows.

We ordered new doors January 15th.the front double doors were partially installed on March 31st.one of the doors is already losing the rubber seal on the bottom of the door.the front doors needed some additional materials for the installation to be completed but we still do not have this job completed.we had an appointment on June 29th only to receive a call that morning they would not be able to come which is the only time this company seems to have time to call.

The back door ordered originally was the wrong size and had to be reordered.they had already removed the door trim so we elected not to have them put it back so no more damage would be done to the surrounding area, we never realized it would be 3 months later and we are still waiting.we have called weekly since May trying to get someone to complete the job.

As a follow up, I was so in awe with the heat factor of the windows I forgot to mention 'silence is golden. I live close to the freeway and have two big dogs next door. The dogs bark really loud and often one of them makes kind of a howling sound. Also have kids screaming and screeching in a pool up until 10pm and 11pm. I am up really early for work plus I work from home, the noise can get really ridiculous at times.

There is also a lot of air traffic between planes and helicopters. After closing these windows the noise is gone. What is also cool is that even if you leave window(s) open in a few of the rooms the noise in the room(s) with the closed window(s) is muted. Very much satisfied with that as well.

Found the ad for DESERT KING in The Home Mag. was so excited to talk to someone about getting a new front door. but NOPE! This company flat out refuses to do business with anyone only buying one door. The worst part. the way they tell you that you are not worth their time-because you only want to replace the front door. It's awful. So. just ignore their one page ad. no free estimate for people who need a new front door! Thanks Jayson!

I had multiple quotes and desert king was more reasonable than most. The sales staff was professional, and honest. I bought what they called renters windows and they are amazing. My patio door has a built in doggie door and it is amazing. The installation was clean, smooth and professional. I paid when job was complete and couldn't be more satisfied. Thank you all so much. Let me tell you! These guys are absolute professionals! From Steve, the sales manager to Juan and his crew, they're were above and beyond! My windows were 23 years old and what a change with these new ones! From esthetics to energy efficiency, they're great! Can't beat the lifetime warranty! The windows arrived much earlier than anticipated and initially I was quoted it would take two days to have them installed, but Juan and his guys worked their magic and did it in one day. Thanks guys! I honestly highly recommend your company!
