We recently had windows installed by Best and are very happy with the whole process from start to finish! John was very kind, more than fair on pricing, and his team- Christopher and crew- did a wonderful job installing! They were knowledgeable and efficient. We're very happy with the work that was done and would highly recommend!

John is very good, very thorough on every window I needed in my new home. I needed 14 brand new custom size slider windows. His price beat 3 other estimates I got. And his work is extremely professional. I highly recommend if you're in the market for windows. Especially for the Midwest area as they kept all the cold air out during the winter. And kept the cool air inside from the air conditioner during the summer months.

Used them to replace all windows and exterior doors in our apartment. Window (and sliding doors) quality is very nice, seem sturdy and well made for a competitive price. I had a large picture window that was broken. I called multiple companies to look at it. Because it was only 3 windows I could not get anyone to come replace them until I found Best Windows. John was quick to respond. He ordered the windows that I needed & the installation was done in the time frame he said it would be. Great customer service by the installers. We recently replaced 17 windows of our house. Our experience couldn't have been better. Price, quality, communication and ease of use was all top-notch. We secured 4 quotes from various window companies and by far Best Window was the best price. John (the owner) was very pleasant to deal with and very responsive. Peter and the installation team worked quickly and efficiently and did an absolutely fabulous job. They installed all 17 windows in a day and a half. Amazing. Great experience from start to finish. Great communication before and after installation of every window in my 100 year old Cape Cod style house. John's crew worked efficiently and were very friendly. They cleaned up after they were finished and the job was completed faster than expected. Would you them again and highly recommended.

LOOK NO FURTHER! JOHN IS THE BEES KNEES! Back in 2017, we had just purchased our starter home which had original windows throughout. We decided we needed an upgrade. After much research and many quotes, we decided to hire John. John was always timely, personable, honest, and reliable. He installed our windows and from start to finish the project was a breeze.

We then moved and ran into the same issue with our new home. Without hesitation, John was the first call I made. We loved our windows SO Much on our old home that we knew we just needed John to do the project again on our new home. I've gotten to know John on a more personal level over these years and he is nothing but kind, honest, and genuine. If you're looking for an operation that has the professionalism of the remedial high school wood shop class, I would recommend calling these dodes ASAP! They will not disappoint. To ensure you have the worst experience possible, ask for their category champion in nuclear crappy service, John. I texted John a picture of my sliding patio door I needed replaced then spoke with him on the phone.

He shot me a price of $3100, which was high, but I was OK with it, because it was about $600 more than the no-name Craigslist guy. I told John I wanted to go ahead with it and gave him all of my info. He said one of his guys would reach out to me to come by and take measurements and e-mail the contract to print out, sign and give to the installer. 10 days go by, I never received the e-mailed contract and I don't hear anything.

So I reach out to John again. John doesn't remember anything about it and doesn't have my order, even though it was right there in the text thread. Duh! And e-mail! John said both (the text and e-mail) didn't come through for some reason. For real dude? You got to be tripp'n. John apologizes, said he'll take care of it immediately and I should have an e-mail confirmation and phone call tomorrow from the installer. You're not going to believe this. but neither of those things ever happened. Shocking, I know.

If he was upfront and said "Hey man, thanks for reaching out, but right now I'm not interested in doing just one patio door on a 4th floor roof. That's not something I want to do, it's not worth our time. We have bigger fish to fry." No harm, no foul. He would have saved me 3 weeks of a leaking patio door in a record setting rain season. I ended up going with a different company I found on Yelp, Midwest Windows and Doors, who was $2200, very professional start to to finish. Very satisfied.

Well done, Best Windows! Being female, many contractors gave me obscenely high quotes and didn't detail out prices (which I requested). Working with John at Best Windows was such a pleasure. He listened to my needs, was candid, honest, and detailed out pricing. Also, he provides the highest quality service for the best price. His team (pleasant & professional) Installed 14 windows. I expected minor issues. And John/team were quick to respond and fixed them immediately. I highly, highly recommend Best Windows.

We purchased two sliding glass doors and had a window replaced due to a crack from the extreme cold last winter. John and his installation team provided excellent service and great products. The new doors make a great upgrade for our home. Would highly recommend Best Windows.

This company recently installed 7 windows in our Elgin home and we had a very positive customer experience from start to finish. John, the owner, is an amicable and candid guy and helped us finalize the project quote in advance. We then worked with Steve, who visited to take measurements for the windows and arrange the scheduling. Steve was also friendly, efficient and accommodating.

After the custom-sized window order shipped, Steve sent the crew out and the installation was completed rapidly and professionally. My wife noted the crew's attentiveness to cleaning up and after they left, it was as if nobody was ever there--except we now had brand new windows! The final charge was precisely what I had been quoted without any surprises, 'bait and switches' or 'gotchas' so how could I give these folks anything but five stars? We plan to hire Best Windows in the future to help us install some more aging windows desperately in need of replacement.

I can't say enough good things about the work these guys do! I had my balcony window and door replaced and the quality of work, material, and products they use are second to none. Their attention to precise detail is just amazing. They were extremely attentive to the areas I pointed out which were a drafty problem for me. They went above and beyond to make sure capping and insulation were more than adequate.

The light coming through my new windows breathed new life into my home. After they finished all the installation, they left my place so spotless, it looked like the construction work never took place. John & Steve have been an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning till the end. I'm so happy with my windows, I know I will be working with them again and again.

John and his team were top notch. We dealt with this in October 2018 and had our windows for about six months. Our home required about 26 windows including double hung, picture, and sliders. John met me at my home in the late evening and provided a quote. There's no sales pitch, used car salesman tactics, demonstrations that have little real-world results, etc.

With other Window companies, they push their "Cadillac" windows that give a marginal performance increase for an exponential cost. Not with Best Windows. I knew beforehand they installed Kensington brand windows. They started with the manufacturer's basic line. I inquired about the mid-level line and John provided his input on why he didn't think they were really worth the additional investment. John's pricing was straightforward.

There was no "oh you get a Yelp discount" or "oops I forgot to add a window to your quote, I'll throw that in for free." It was refreshing to talk to a non-pushy company for once. We went with John and his installer Chris put them in our home about six weeks later. Took about a day and a half. His crew showed up about an hour earlier and were super fast! The windows are awesome and have already saved on my heating bill this past winter.

My review is for Best Windows Inc, had them to install windows in my condominium, windows were installed poorly some of the rooms leaking air, one window was not closing level, it was leaning like this '\' i did ask them to repair and they came, but what they did is awful, they just put 4 screws in the middle, air is still leaking, windows damaged and looks like garbage, think twice before hiring them cause it can look like this in your house.

Extremely unprofessional. Contacted them about 2 weeks ago. We talked on the phone about what I was looking to do. I was asked to text address and they would get to me. They never did.happy they showed their true colors before I even bothered to get siding for my home with this company. Thanks for wasting my time.

I reached out to Best Windows because of the solid reviews. I initially checked with the company to see if they worked in Berwyn. He confirmed that they do, but when I ended up calling to get a quote, and asked to text instead, I was met with some resistance because of my home being in Berwyn, told I needed to really check all the Berwyn permits related to basement windows, and then was never pursued further to see if I wanted to get a quote.

By comparison, I reached out to another well rated company on Yelp. I was little hesitant because of my experience with Best Windows (John) and afraid I'd be met with little interest in my business. The other company was happy to work with Berwyn homes, explained that they'd help with figuring out the permit and making sure everything was according to code, and made the whole process seem doable. Bottom line, if you live in Berwyn, you may want to look elsewhere.

Where do I begin with my review. First and foremost, John is probably the best/nicest guy I have ever dealt with during any of my home improvements. Yes, having a job that ran into issues did irritate me, but he has been nothing short of amazing, and I truly mean that. From the moment we called to get a quote, to him allowing us to visit a home to see and operate the patio doors.

No matter what my question or concern has been, he has ALWAYS responded to me within hours. As everyone knows when you do any home project, many unforeseen circumstances can arise. The real test of any company is how do they respond once issues do arise. During my install of 2 patio doors, some issues arose from the installation and some from a couple defects from the manufacturer. John came to my home to inspect the jobs, kept me up to date with open dialogue, answered all my numerous emails and explained things/choices so I understood why certain materials were used to ensure I was satisfied.

Many things were completely out of his control, yet he never shifted the blame, never avoided me or tried to make any excuses. His only response was that he will get everything fixed and I will be completely satisfied. I have already recommended Best Windows to all of my friends, family and coworkers. If a company stands behind their work and their product like John has, there is no reason to ever look anywhere else.

Most positive reviews online are from jobs where everything went as planned. I feel as though this positive review should be worth more due to the fact that when things went wrong, it was so easy to work with John to ensure everything was corrected.

John at Best Windows was a pleasure to work with and gave me the best price, product, and customer service I could ask for. I recently purchased an older condo that needed all of its windows replaced. John was able to come out and provide a fast quote that beat out other vendors. In addition to that, the windows that he quoted were of higher quality and have much longer warranty than everything else I was quoted. It took 6 weeks from the time of the quote to final installation, exactly as promised. Installation was a breeze and the windows look great. Highly recommended!

Re: Best Windows. No, John, I am not calling you in reference to your two missed appointments with me, without a call from you. You claimed when I called you the first time that you had the time an hour later than I had on my calendar. But you were still in your office in LaGrange, and I'm over by the lake, so hardly time to make a trip here. The second appointment was 9/19 at 11 am. You left me hanging on that one too. And, again, no call. I should try a third time? I think not.

Zero. Customer service. I got my windows replaced based on the yelp reviews. I want to tell you the number of reputable professional and the owner of this company made a Sunday visit to sell me windows. One. The windows are pieces of shit. A cold wknd come and I can feel it. Two. When I moved into my condo in 2008, I purchased expensive wood, nice blinds on my windows.

The owner of this company, who will answer your call upon first call, told me that my blinds would be fine to rehang it would not be a problem. When the windows were installed, my blinds did not fit. I contacted both the guy that the owner pawned off on me as well the owner and got no response at all. However, when the actual installation came my blinds of cost more than the windows self could not be rehung. When I contacted this owner he has yet to contact me back and I hope that he reads this yelp review and contact me because I think it's bullshit. Do not trust this man.

Edit: After posting this review, John have called me to sort things out. I decide to change it from 1 star to 4. I received a cleaning reimbursement and I appreciate the follow-up. I also removed some details from my original review since they were errors on my part. Also note that the installers will leave stickers on your new windows that are hard to take out.

Need goo gone and lots of scraping. John said they have to leave them on the windows (for some reason) I personally would have been happier if they were removed so that I don't have to clean up. If you go with this company, make sure you ask them to remove said stickers. Original Review: Best windows is ok. The sales pitch is quick and easy and that's why I went with Best Windows.

As a service company I do not recommend this company. Windows installed in almost twice the time they estimated. Took time off work and they did not finish. They call me before they were leaving. I was 15 minutes away when they called me and I told them to wait until i get home, I arrived and the house was abandoned and the doors were all unlocked. Kinda weird, why didn't they call 15 min before they had to leave? not sure.

The house was left in poor conditions in terms of cleanliness, they do not clean up after themselves. They use a rug and that's it. After they left there was dust and debris in every room. And on the furniture that they did not move back. On top of that the windows were left with stickers on the windows that cannot go off without scraping and a no-fun goo gone endeavor.

I basically spent my entire weekend cleaning and scraping. John (the owner) did not answer or return our phone calls the first few days after the installation. So I guess this is part of the experience. We got a special treat after paying $10,000. What a fun surprise. Summary, anybody can install windows and they did that alright. But in terms of professional service and cleaning up; this company is lacking.

Best Windows did a great job for me and my family. We purchased a total of 11 windows for three rooms in my house and could not be happier. My wife had been looking for someone to purchase windows from for a while but we either didn't like the style or their price. John at Best showed her something she liked and me a price that I liked. Their installers were on time and did a great job that did not take all day and they cleaned up when they were done. We are looking to get a few more windows to complete our home in the spring and I will definitely call John and his team again. Robert G.

Our experience with John and Best Windows has been very good! John showed up at our home when he said he would, answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable. There was no hard sale. He sells a quality product at a good price. The installers showed up on time and completed the job well and did a great job cleaning up. We replaced all of the windows in our house with Best Windows and are completely happy with them. It was so refreshing to deal with John and his no-nonsense sales presentation. In the past, we had gotten quotes from other window companies that were high pressure to sign the contract the same day and astronomical prices. We liked the windows and everything about the company--not to mention the great prices. They have a quality window at a fair price. The installers were fabulous. They worked like a well-oiled machine, completing the job quickly and cleaning up. John stands behind the windows and gives a lifetime warranty. We highly recommend Best Windows!

When I bought my condo, all the windows were in a laughable state of disrepair. Held up by dowels, not a straight line in sight, flapping screens, you name it. I thought I could deal for a while but that went quite literally out the window after I opened one and it fell out of the frame and hit me on the head. So, after much back-and-forth with my condo board and much discussion with contractor and architect friends and much Googling (am now semi-expert on the subject of window replacements), I started calling around for quotes from highly ranked companies.

Of my top three picks, John offered exactly the product I was looking for at a great price. His installation crew -- while sweating bullets in my 85 degree apartment -- were efficient, polite, and cleaned up after themselves beautifully. (I did have to ask them not to throw the old windows down into the garden, and there were some small caulking mistakes but those are really small potatoes compared to what they put up with.) John was also super responsive and a pleasure to work with.

I was waiting for the cold weather to write a review, just in case, but since that hasn't really kicked in yet (or can I not feel it in my warm, draft-free home?), I'm doing it now. Good prices, good product, good service = John's your man. Do it. Your bills will thank you. *As a fun aside, John's voice was somehow recorded into my gate buzzer so now whenever someone buzzes me I get a call from "John of Best Windows."

Once again FIVE STARS! I've been replacing my windows a few at a time each year when I get my tax return money. This year were the last 3 windows to go and as usual they did an amazing job for a super price. I wish I had more windows for them to replace! The workers are on-time, professional and friendly, and are highly skilled at what they do.

Every piece of metal flashing and every caulk bead are perfect. The windows are beautiful and are such good quality my house is now silent inside and about 10 degrees cooler! I had 2 double hung vinyl windows and a large picture window replaced for $1400. Feldco wanted almost $3,000 for the same job. HA!

I needed to replace all the windows in my house. 18 total windows. I had originally committed to a larger window company that gave me their sales pitch and told me the price was good for that day. And I had to write him a check to lock in that special price. After he left, I started thinking about that one day price, and talking to my brother, I had a change of heart.

It was kind of fishy having a price good for just that day. I submitted to cancel the job and got my money back. Thank goodness for that 3 day Right to Cancel. Then I researched and found Best Windows Inc. With all the good reviews, I called up John. He came out to visit me even in a snow storm. He showed me the product from his supplier and all the positive reviews his company has received through Angie's List and Yelp, and the best thing was NO negative reviews.

He also warned me about those special one day pricing to lock in customers. Those are the companies to stay far away from. The warranty John provided on parts and labor was lifetime, including broken glass! Then he gave me his price for the same job and came in so much lower than the big company. So I signed with Best Windows. And was I glad I did!

What a wonderful person to deal with and the crew that came to install the windows was polite and courteous. The windows were installed in one day with 3 guys. Although they did not speak much English, they were very professional. The weather during their install was below 15degF. They worked right through and did an excellent job! It was very cold outside, so I did not take too close of a look, but generally speaking, it looked great! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great window with great service, and great pricing!
