Door Store

I had a difficult though not unique round top storm and front entry door to replace and was stunned at the difficulty I was having getting the work done. The guy who came out from Lowe's to measure basically wormed me not to purchase the door from them. Evergreen Windows & Doors wanted close to $3,500.00 for a storm door, and over $9,000.00 with hardware for the entry door, insisting that my internal framing had to be replaced.

I remembered that several years earlier I got a card and catalog from an installer--Bob Wadkins--from The Door Store (Doorstore). I called. Bob came out. There were no high pressure sales techniques! We discussed what I wanted. He measured and a few weeks later a flawless installation. This was not inexpensive--$2,900.00 for the round top storm door and $3,550.00 for the round top entry door, but it was less than their competitors wanted for just the front door.

By the way, the exact same door manufacturer- Home Guard. I was so thoroughly satisfied that I replaced the back entry and storm door immediately after the front installation. The multiple high security locks that were included in this installation work well. The people at The Door Store are courteous, knowledgeable, professionals, that were an absolute pleasure to work with.

I unequivocally highly recommend The Door Store. You get what you pay for! PS. When the owner came to inspect the project he noticed the round top door window was off center. He had HGI remake the door and reinstalled it at no cost to me. That's the service one deserves when they pay for high quality products and services. Thank you Bob, Doug & Tom!

I went to the Door Store, because my security/ storm door wouldn't lock. Do you believe this, the owner came and fixed my door. I had no idea, he was the owner, until the lock was fixed and I asked his name, he said Tom, I am the owner. By the way, that is the best price I ever had for a house call. I am more than appreciative. I forgot to mention, I didn't buy the door from their store.

Last summer I reached out to price entry and storm doors for my home. John came to take discuss my options and left staying he would get back to me regarding a side light. He never called so I had to go to the store to get an answer. He did return to my home to get measurements and made my selections. I asked for a written estimate as I needed to provide it to the homeowners association for review.

He stated he would follow up via email. Crickets again! Never heard back and I didn't follow up. I figured they didn't need my business plus if it's this challenging to get a order place it makes me question their customer service.

I gave John one star because he didn't follow up with me. My project wasn't easy as simply installing one door, it was two rear entryway doors. From what I've read after doing more research on The Door Store, if the job is challenging, they aren't doing it. I respect that, it's your business, pick and choose your projects. However, John was suppose to follow up with me to accept or decline, but he left me hanging.

Not a call, text or email. John if you would have followed up to say no thank you, I would have immediately crossed you off my list and continued with getting estimates from other companies. The cost of the project was not an option, you could of charged 5k, as per my voice mail message thanking you for coming out and safety was my main priority, money was not an issue, just quality work. A simple response to a potential (or not) customer says a lot.

Terrible! I have friends that recommended them to me they told me they were high but worth the money. The door I got was scratched up with a crack in the glass, I can barely put the key in the door and turn it, they didn't complete the installation, even after I contacted them 3 times. My next step is to put in a complaint to the Attorney General, I paid for a new door expertly put in! What I got was a hot mess, this is just sad!

Awesome Job. Bob replaced a rotted arched door with a sparkling new door. He perfectly arched the weather strip using a man-hole cover. Very ingenious. I highly recommend The Door Store

I love my door, it was better than I imagined! I was thrilled when they finished! I t didn't take long to install, and they cleaned up afterwards. Good Job!

Good service but this place is way overpriced look for less expensive prices elsewhere.
