Super friendly and affordable. I needed a repair on a broken window hinge and Chad did a great job. I will definitely call Slade Glass next time I need any future help with my windows!

I worked with Jason at the Boulder store, and a couple of his team members. There was a bit of a misunderstanding at first (not with Jason) but once we were able to discuss the misunderstanding, Jason took matters in his own hands and made sure that everything was corrected and really made me feel like they cared about my business and me as a client.

High quality work and all around service. We wanted to change the shower opening from curtain to glass door. Booked an appointment for a no obligation on-site estimate, good phone communication for appointment time, confirmation and follow-up questions. We are a one hour drive from Boulder so, all the above makes a difference. They installed the custom glass door within two weeks of our accepting the bid.

The estimator recognized a slope to the bottom section of tile and recommended a little piece to prevent water from flowing on to the main bath floor. This detail won the business. The door looks and works really well. We have a guest room shower that we expect to call them back to install in the future!

I'm in the process of buying a house, and the inspector noticed some issues with the installed glass. I called Slade Glass and spoke with Allison who was incredibly resourceful. She helped me better understand the issue, provided a rough quote over the phone with my vague information, and recommended that I check the warranty on the existing glass. While I cannot speak to their workmanship (yet), I can recommend their customer service and expertise.

Slade Glass replaced the glass in 9 windows and 2 french doors in my home. The customer service from the office folks was great, including scheduling the estimate, explaining the warranty, and scheduling and billing the work. They are super responsive and always kept me up to date on the schedule. Sal, Zack and Spencer did the installation. They are very professional.

They let me know when they were arriving, they showed up on time, and most importantly they did a very professional installation. They answered all my questions and are very polite. I recommend Slade Glass.

Ken and Dale made my custom glass-dreams come true! I have an unusually shaped, built-in desk and shelves in our kitchen and we just had them painted. To protect the paint job, I wanted a heavy glass top. Ken and Dale worked to create a beautiful solution with one solid piece of glass. I was so impressed. True craftsmen! Such pride in their work! Slade has replaced many original glass window panes in my home due to faulty seals. It happens. Slade also installed a glass shower enclosure with transom and door handle for me about 5 years ago. The handle began to peel. Not a common occurrence and we are all left to wonder why. Slade reached out to the manufacture with no response but didn't hesitate to order a replacement for me at their expense. Great customer service! Nice to do business with a company who stands behind their product and workmanship. Highly recommend!

We just had Slade glass install a custom shower door and they did a fantastic job. The installers were incredibly friendly, courteous, and professional. They were mindful of the fact that I have a houdini cat that tries to escape and were really diligent about making sure the door was shut as they came in and out of the house so she wouldn't get out.

After the installation, they took the time to explain how to care for the glass properly, AND, most importantly, it looks amazing! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Slade Glass to anyone. Quality employees, quality work.

Saul did a fantastic job replacing a large window over our kitchen sink. He was extremely careful not to damage surrounding woodwork and protected the granite countertop. Saul has a wonderfully positive attitude toward his work and his customers. Gloria F.

Took 2 weeks to come measure. Measurement tech was friendly and professional. Slade Glass policy is to measure and send estimate in 2 business days. No estimate in 3 business days so I called. Lady who answered phone kept telling me the difference between business and calendar days which I understood beforehand. When I mentioned that it was taking weeks she again explained the difference between business and calendar days.

Total time for appointments estimated to be 6 weeks. When I said that was a month and a half she again explained the difference between business and calendar days. Very rude and unprofessional. The whole conversation was argumentative. I called another glass company and they are going to come replace the glass in 1 week.

Had a couple of great experiences with Slade recently. We have a commercial window on our house, and it was hard to track down a vendor to make repairs. Eric came out and knew exactly the type of window frame and how to fix it. With Charles, they fixed a damaged aluminum bar, and then came back to repair the vinyl weather stripping that had come loose over the years. They even went the extra mile to add some new weep holes, and tighten up some sagging items with new screws. Thanks guys.

I have used Slade Glass a few times spread out over several decades. The first time, on the recommendation of a friend, long before Yelp existed, was in the early 80s to replace a very old shower door that had come with our 50s era fixer house. Some years later, I believe they replaced a window pane for us, though I do not remember those details. At one point after that I went in to price some custom glass shelving for a DIY project and discovered that I really could not afford it and it was rather optional for the house, so I did not do it at that time.

Fast forward to this summer when I redesigned the potential shelving project in a better way, went in with measurements and looked at options to do it. The quote was doable for me now for a variety of reasons. And Slade Glass is still in business after all these years and every staff person I worked with was so incredibly helpful. They asked all the right questions for my use, explained various options for finishes etc. I picked up the glass recently, was very pleased with the final product and would certainly use them again should I have a need for any similar glass products.

Slade Glass did prompt and excellent work installing an oversized window in my cafe. The window was broken on Thursday. Slade had a person out to do measurements by Monday morning. When I gave them the go-ahead, the glass was immediately ordered and the installation complete in less than three business days. Everything was professionally and beautifully handled and they even gave us a discount to support our business. Danielle, Lucas and Jono were all amazing to deal with. Wonderful experience - would recommend.

I had a very good experience with Slade Glass. I had a broken pane in an exterior window. Slade measured it and had it replaced within a couple of weeks. The installers, Edgar and Dakota, were fast and efficient. Nice job, guys!

I do NOT recommend this glass company. Had one problem after the other with delays in ordering, installation, took months to fix bad installation, and still have problems with pieces falling off that are not attached properly.

I called Slade in November last year to schedule a repair to my glass shower door. It was off level and rubbing on the bottom. Not a problem, they took my name and address, and said that they could come out in 3-4 days to fix it. Well, the holidays happened, so I called back this morning to set it up firm. Not so easy this time. Because, according to the phone person, Slade "isn't getting paid", I needed to give them my credit card number to charge the $160 service call, and I understood it to be ahead of time. Okay, I own my home and I pay my bills. I don't expect to be charged for a repair that they haven't even seen yet. Needless to say, they didn't get my buisness today and won't in the future.

Slade of Glass is an awesome company with a fantastic staff. Danielle, Tina, and Bianca were incredibly helpful and professional. They went the extra mile to help satisfy a customer. As a window cleaning business, on occasion we deal with broken glass, and Slade of Glass is who we call. I highly recommend their service.

I agree with some of the other comments, that Slade is a bit slow and not the best with follow up. We had a couple of bad hinges, and their man came on May 4, and said that it would take a few days to get an estimate. Finally, after we called, they got back to us about 10 days later with an estimate, and told us that it would take a while to get the hinges.

The good news is that today, the installer, Luis, came to replace the bad hinges. He fixed the first window by removing the seal, and was a bit apologetic that he didn't really have to replace the hinge. The second hinge was badly broken, and he fixed that quickly, despite some problems getting to it. Luis is awesome!

Had Chris come to give me an estimate for a frameless shower door. He was friendly enough and seemed competent, but when I called the office a few days later, having not received anything, the person answering the phone was incredibly rude. It's been over a week, and I've still not gotten any estimate, response, or follow up. Don't waste your time with this terrible company.

As the owner of Hanz-On Pro Handyman Service in Boulder, there are some specialty services that provide more specific skills and tools than my general service can provide. I'm happy to give Slade Glass 5 stars based on my six years of working with them on glass and screen replacements and customized shower walls and doors. I recently completed a bathroom remodel that featured a custom glass shower installation.

The European style shower walls and door were beautifully fit and finished by Slade Glass. Generally, when my work requires window repair and glass replacement on complicated frames, I can rely on Slade Glass to deliver timely products for prices that my customers really appreciate. The same reliability applies to screen frames and mesh. Slade has also been a reliable source for casement, sash, and shower accessories and replacement parts.

Finished a major home remodel over the summer. Slade glass did a fabulous job on the master shower and all bathroom mirrors. This winter we had to have the slides on numerous window replaced and Edgar did a great job replacing them. Will definitely continue to use Slade Glass for our glass needs and highly recommend them.

Terrible customer experience. When I first called to get an estimate on a bathroom mirror (mirror + installation), I was given one price. Then, after someone came out to my house to measure, I was given a completely different price at $100+ more (even though measurements had not changed). This, I was told was because the new price included a $50 charge to come out and measure. What?!

No one told me about that charge or that it was mandatory when I first called. The other "extra" amounts were because of the estimated installation (1.5 hours for two guys). The guys that came and installed the mirror were great (thankfully), and it was done in 30 minutes (total). When I called the shop back to see if my cost would be adjusted (I had only paid half so far), they did credit me back some $ only after telling me that they have a 1 hr minimum charge.

Terrible communication.how about telling the customer UP FRONT that a) you charge $50 for in-home measurements, and b) you have a 1 hour minimum installation fee. I rarely write bad reviews, but this experience was very frustrating and working with the women in the shop, on the phone, was painful.

I needed a replacement door sweep for my shower door. Home Depot and McGuckin's were a waste of time. Even as a homeowner (a non-contractor), I was able to walk up to the Slade Glass Co front counter, describe my problem, and be out of there with a replacement shower door sweep, cut to my custom length needs, in about 20 minutes. I appreciate that level of customer service. Thank you!

Great customer service. My experience with Slade glass was exceptional. I would recommend this company without hesitation for your glass needs. They delivered promptly and without any problems and If I had concernsx they were promltly addressed

I came into Slade glass with dimensions for a table top. Very simple piece of clear piece of glass with softened edges. When I ordered it Tina said it would take 7-10 business days. Two full weeks elapsed and I still had not heard anything. I called in and spoke to Tina, she said she would call the supplier and call me back with a status. She never called me back, I called again and got the same reply.

The next time I called in, she said my glass had came in, but at the wrong dimensions. She said she would re-order and rush it for the soonest possible delivery. Another week passed and I hadn't heard anything, I called in again and she said the glass had been delivered but had been broken in the shop. At this point it had been 8 weeks since my initial order and I got so sick of calling Tina to find out the status on my glass, I went to another shop and was able to get my glass within a week. Several months have passed and I have never received a call back from Tina. I will not be using Slade glass for any future projects.

We used Slade Glass for a bathroom slider door. The door was built by American Shower Door out of LA. Everything was fine until a small part broke about 2 months after the install. I called Jennifer at Slade to ask about a warranty, or service for the problem. She told me that there was no warranty on the door, and that they could not (would not) help me.

Not too good for a $1600 shower door. So I called American Shower Door. When I described the problem/broken part, they were all over getting it fixed. They sent me the part about a week later, and everything was good. So. American Shower Door: Top notch. Slade Glass. AVOID. Rog S

Boy are we pleased. Had a window replaced this morning by Slade. Window and installation perfect, but with Slade you wouldn't expect less. Frosting on the cake was our installer, Edgar. Most personable and friendly guy you would ever meet. Had similar experience with the person who came out for pricing, and the person who came out and measured. I ordered two pieces of glass and was told they would be ready about a week later after two weeks I had to call them and they said my order would be ready tomorrow for such a simple order an extra week is too long.also I requested a quote for some tempered glass and their quote was three times the cost of another vendor. I don't know how such a huge cost difference could be possible.

I procrastinated getting glass made for my dresser top since it has a curved mirror attached and a curved front. I made a pattern as well as I could, and also for the matching night stand. The glass did not fit on the dresser.because the space for the mirror hadnt been cut wide enough. Slade came to my house to examine things, and took the glass with them to fix for NO extra cost.

When I got the glass back it fit, but was seriously just a 1/4" off. When I moved and had to transport it anyway, I dropped it off to have it adjusted one last time. again for no extra cost. It was such a tricky project.hence WHY I procrastinated. Now it fits PERFECTLY. protecting a piece Ill have my whole life. I also had a table top piece made for the breakfast nook and just had a piece made for the front entry table where everyone puts their wet water bottles/throws their keys.

I got a quote for this piece from another glass co that was over double the price. UPDATE; I had a very large piece of glass cut for the formal dining room and matching side bar. I was given a pattern with different shaped curved edges and was told to match the rounded corners of the tables. I did my best and was very worried.it turned out perfectly though!

What a pain to have to measure, order, rent a truck to pick up, but now I have beautifully displayed furniture that I never have to cover with a cloth to protect! I even got up-sold on the darker "mocha" shaded glass. It is so beautiful.
