Innovative Openings has been selling a wide selection of shades from Hunter Douglas and Insolroll all over Colorado's front range since the 1980s. We are proud to feature these window treatment brands and offer in-home design and measuring service. Some of the latest product innovations include Vignette Modern roman shades, Pirouette window shadings, and Skyline Gliding Window Panels.
Innovative Openings has been a Hunter Douglas dealer since 1986, offering their complete line of award-winning window treatments as well as comprehensive support services. We provide professional measuring, design consultation and installation for all of their products to the Boulder, Denver and Fort Collins areas.

The original honeycomb shade from Hunter Douglas, Duette shades offer choices in cell sizes, horizontal or Vertiglide orientation and a range of light-control options from sheer to opaque. Alex, the installer, was prompt, polite & professional. Great company all around. Was so happy we ended up supporting a local business, the prices are very competitive. We received a perfect outcome to our needs for nine window coverings. During her in-home visit, Susan Williams provided outstanding help to select the type and style for each window consistent with our decor and use of each room. Todd Ganter kept us posted on our order and installation schedule. The two installers, Billy and Jake, worked efficiently to make each window covering fit perfectly and operate smoothly. As a repeat customer, we are grateful for another 5-star professional experience!

I wrote the negative review below earlier this summer after having the problems identified but since then they have responded to me several times, have visited my home and did a detailed inspection of my awning and fixed items requested at no cost. I also was able to finally order a new valence which was installed on Oct 27th. All has been fixed and their communication and service has improved immensely.
I have changed my new review to 4 stars vs the previous 1 star. I purchased a motorized Sunesta awning from them in Jul 2011 (order no 267446 for $4725.00) and also had it promptly serviced in July 2015 when the manual sunshade jammed. However, last year and this summer I needed help with replacing the covering valence which is worn and torn and the manual sun shade that is again jammed and they will not respond to my several phone calls last summer or my 3 phone calls this summer or to my description of work needed filled out on their own website.
I was very satisfied with the large awning (12'X12') when it was installed in 2011and the servicing in 2015 but now I cannot get any help to repair and replace items mentioned above. Appears they do not want to support their product now as I get no responses to voice messages left or call backs after talking to a person on the first call this summer or to my project description on their website. I would be very wary of their service after installation of their products.

Innovative Openings installed new remote controlled blinds 3 years ago. Yes, we had some problems with the remote operation. Kevin Anderson responded quickly to the issue, and while it took quite a while to resolve, he and his technicians kept at it. We now have fully functioning blinds that are gorgeous. Our thanks to Kevin and to his excellent technician, Felipe, for their resolve to fix the problem. We do love our remote controlled blinds for their beauty and efficiency.

Very happy with the blinds and service from Innovative Openings! I was miserable in my new house with not one but two skylights in the master bedroom (not a morning person!) and I am thrilled with the remote controlled blinds that were a perfect fit and solution. I also love the shades for my strangely shaped windows in the living room. Innovative had solutions for me that were affordable and I so appreciate their friendly service!
