Edward Christian Glass was the first superintendent of the Lynchburg public schools. Formally known as Lynchburg High School the current campus was constructed in the 1950's. For over a century, E.C. Glass has produced many accomplished graduates, including but not limited to NFL players, a President of the National Press Club, Tony and Emmy award winners, the list could go on almost endlessly. Nationally recognized by Ronald Reagan as one of the top public schools in the United States.

The drama and music program appeared in the international thespian program as one of nine main stage preformances with the production of Shenandoah. The sports program is consistently among the state's finest. The academic programs are also nationally ranked among the nation's finest. The auditorium has been the setting for current country singer/songwriters Phi Vasser, comedian Bob Hope again the list is endless GO HILLTOPPERS.

EC Glass is a terrible school. The teachers are NOT the problem--they are capable and compassionate. The problem is the administrative team. Tracy Richardson is a terrible leader, and all she does is hide out in her office. She does not communicate with her employees, and she only puts her interests first, not the interests of her students and employees.

She is dishonest, and she will fire any teacher who calls her out on her BS. Her minions, Lillian Guzlowski and Jessica Barger, have no clue what they are doing. Lillian Guzlowski is even more dishonest than Tracy. She will tell teachers that they have a job the next year, and then fire them two days later. She will tell teachers they are doing well, and then write a final evaluation that completely trashes their job performance simply because Tracy decided she needed some reasons to fire that person. Jessica Barger is not as dishonest, but she is incompetent, and she refuses to discipline students, even when they've sent threatening messages to teachers.

The teachers have the lowest morale because of the lack of support they get. This is a terrible school because of the admin team. I taught there for years, and I would never send my child to EC Glass, even for a free education. Email me for more information. I could write 10 books on the horrors of this school.
