Fischer Lumber

Renee and I have been shopping for Marvin windows. Salesman, Darrell Janis has been very helpful. Fischer Lumber has some very nice working window displays. Darrell provided us with three Marvin books that explain the three grades. I grew up in East Alton. Fischer Lumber has always provided us with quality products. I've always found them to be very honest and helpful. Windows by Marvin, bathroom cabinets by Birtch are never cheap.

You get what you pay for. Fischer orders the products we want - they have always cooperated by warehousing items until they can be installed. I've ordered several panels of sheetrock and they delivered them within 1 and 1/2 hours. Yep! Saves me time - I'd rather do business with a local company that truly appreciates my business.

Will not even waste my time going anywhere else, have dealt with them for years for many small projects. I'm not a professional, just a DIY'er but they always treat you like you are their biggest account. very knowledgeable, offer advice when asked and never cop an attitude. Prices are very competitive if not better than most box stores and MUCH better product - I will happily pay more for the service and quality materials plus the bonus of not spending hours in a store searching for a straight piece of lumber - keep up the good work and folks, SHOP LOCAL!

My first time coming here.they were recommended to me by an orange big box store. Really friendly people. I only needed a couple pieces of lumber this time, but I'll definitely come back with any future needs. I'm a local handyman, so it won't be long before I need something else.

I was introduced to Fischer Lumber by my contractor, his preferred vendor for kitchen and bath cabinetry. During the past 18 months, I'm visited about six times for kitchen and bathroom design, cabinets, countertops, and new exterior doors. We've found good value provided by great people who give great service.

Best lumber yard around. Service is amazing and has been for years! Quality products and material. Just can't get any better than this!

Called to order a specialty part. The other distributor/rep in the area and closer to home was not responsive. Ed Fischer could not have been more responsive. Received the part before expected and then Ed called to make sure we had received (it was shipped directly to home). Best service we've had from a construction supplier - ever. Great Job and it's further from home than others, but now our go to store!

The drivers at this company has are absolutely moronic! If you are going to have somebody drive for your company and be in a vehicle with the name and advertising plastered all over it, you'd think that they would have a little more sense. Unfortunately, if this is how you have people representing your company, I'm very unsure if I would ever want to give your company and opportunity to have my business

Order roof trusses from them two weeks payed for them on Saturday cash! The week before they said they would be done by the end of the week that was on monday called back they said they may have them done by that Friday called Friday was informed that they have not even started on them and I have a roofing contractor and a crain all lined up that Friday had to cancel every thing and now my roof contractor cant be back now untell November 12 at the Earliest.

I have talked to several different people one said they were working on them and the other say they are be hind and have not even got started on them cant get a straight answer from them and now is putting my project way be hind I need them to give a straight answer on when they are going to get them done and deliver to me!

These guys are as great as it gets! They helped me through every aspect of my project with helpful suggestions for styles and colors, offered different options and helped me stay within my budget. It doesn't get much better than this!
