A&C was at my condo for 20 minutes replacing a track on my sliding glass door. I supplied the track and they had multiple other units in the condo they were working in. They charged for $400 for labor, or $1200/hr. When I called to ask what could have possibly my led to such an extreme charge, Vince told me "you're not taking into account commuting, parking, things like that." They're a local company and parking for 20 minutes in seattle is a few dollars. Hire a&c only if you want to pay for a brain surgeon to come fix your sliding glass door.

After moving the area and purchasing a new home, we called a local company to help beef up security by replacing 2 glass insert doors with safety glass. The job was bid by the owner who explained they would cut out the door's wood stops, install a new panel of glass in each door and then re-instal the wood stops. To be fair, the owner did mention the wood stops would not appear untouched but their installer knew his craft.

After weeks of hearing nothing, we called A&C Glass who stated it was on order- no communication. When the installer arrived and removed the wood stops to access the old glass, numerous gouges and deep cuts with his knife were made in the wood doors (think of coloring outside the lines)- leaving a very unsightly appearance in our new home. The installer then "temporarily installed" small portions of the wood stops back onto one door and installed split and damaged stops on the second door before explaining he would return with a week later to install new wood stops (he needed to locate the trim shape and match the stain). Seemed logical. Weeks (well over a month) later I called to complain after hearing nothing, and more importantly that our newly installed glass was warped.

After reaching the owner I was told "Vince was handling it" and I was directed back to Vince. I then learned they had no intention of returning to complete our install (no wood stops), leaving the glass doors to our new home ruined. Vince stated it was a "misunderstanding" that the owner and installer told me A&C Glass was installing new wood stops. Vince refused to stand behind their work and was confrontational on the phone when I vented my frustrations and disgust.

We were simply told we could "keep the install panels of safety glass at no charge." Yeah no thanks, now we have 2 warped panels of safety glass installed in damaged doors and A&C Glass refuses to complete the install on. So much for work ethic, doing the right thing and taking care of the customer.

Just got off the phone A and C glass. We have been perusing getting an estimate from this company since October 2016. This effort has included a couple of phone calls followed up be detailed emails regarding the scope of the work we were looking to have done at a two story building in Kirkland. The response has been seriously lacking, requiring us to call and email for a request to contact us.

We finally got a site visit from an estimator for the company in late December, on site. All of this takes time for us and has delayed making a decision on who use. Today I called to find out the status of the estimate and when I said this was my last try to give them the job I was told "fine, go somewhere else" and was hung up on. I get it that we had a small job, but if they had no intention to bid the job it would have been more professional to tell us that months ago.

Very unprofessional in my view. We will go elsewhere. Not a company I would recommend for getting an estimate on small repair jobs (5 windows to be replaced). I can't speak to the quality of their work, they did not want to show us.
