Replaced original front door, patio slider, and custom picture window. Extremely pleased with the service from start to finish. Absolute professionalism from the service technicians. Our 4 year-old was super excited to have the "workers" in his house and they were great interacting with him and making him feel "helpful". Worst contractor I have ever dealt with! They were to complete the siding and gutters on a 2 unit condo restoration project. What should have been a 2 week siding job ended up taking 8 weeks. The workers (when they showed up) only worked a few hours a day. They trampled our landscaping and flowers. The workmanship was shoddy. They had to come back multiple times to fix mistakes.

Our a/c unit was damaged in the process. I had to pick up the huge mess of nails and debris left in our landscaping, porch and deck. They never did fix the mistakes they made with the gutters. Another contractor finally fixed the gutters. I could site other issues with them as well but you get the picture. It was a nightmare.

We chose vanderlaan to replace some windows in our old farmhouse. We did have some bumps along the way in the process but they were quick about making things right for us and we really appreciated that. Our new windows look great! Service: Window installation

I worked with Eric at Vander Laan Home Improvement several times during the past four years on a range of projects for my house. They replaced most of the windows and installed a new roof, back door, and gutters. They also helped address problems with water damage and wood rot stemming from a replacement window that wasn't properly installed before I bought the house. Vanderlaan Home Improvement did an amazing job on my roof. Dave was helpful in picking out the shingles and did a very thorough job inspecting the roof ahead of time. He even went into the attic to check it out. When his crew was removing the shingles they found extra layers they weren't expecting but did not try to come to me for more money. They honored their quoted price and even brought in another dumpster to haul everything off.

The crew was very prompt (there at 7:30am each day.before sunrise) and worked hard all day. I can't speak to the longevity of the roof and I will say that it snowed the next day so I didn't really get to inspect it yet but I am confident it will look great and perform even better for many years. We just installed new windows in our whole house. They exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Everyone was professional, polite and kind from the first estimate to the installation. We shopped around for windows and Vanderlaan was VERY competitively priced. We were very impressed with Eric when he came to do the estimate, and ultimately that's what solidified us choosing them. The installation crew was friendly, polite, clean & professional. Would HIGHLY recommend them. Can't say enough good things!

Just had VanderLaan wrap our outdoor wood trim and install two new service doors on our garage. Would highly recommend them. They did an excellent job! We are planning on having them replace our roof in the spring too!
