Services
There are so many considerations when designing a building; Including Daylighting design in early stages of development can be immensely beneficial. Update: I was able to talk with 2 people at the company and we now have a date scheduled for the work to be done in the up coming week. After talking with them and being able to work everything out I'm rating them with 4 stars. They made a follow up call (after the call scheduling the work to be done) once my original review was seen to make sure any misunderstanding had been handled.
As of now I am more than comfortable going through Lacey Glass again in the future. I will update again once the work has been completed. If I could rate this company lower I would. I do not recommend them. They are severely lacking in communication and customer service. They do give the lowest quote, I'll give them that and since they have the lowest quote I tried to book with them.
I should have known better than to go with them when I had problems getting a bid but I've always been a slow learner. Lacey Glass (like most similar companies) requires 1/2 up front up and 1/2 upon finish. I paid them the half up front when I called to schedule an appointment to have them fix the broken glass. They told me they would call me back to schedule that appointment. Again, I'm a slow learner. Today, when I realized it had been about 2 weeks and I still had not heard from them I decided I would call them.
The lady that answered the phone assured me she would call me back by the end of the day to schedule the work to be done. I double checked that it was going to be, in fact, by the end of today. Actually, I double checked twice. I have not heard from them and they've now been closed for at least 3 hours. I am done calling them back. Tomorrow my call will be to the credit card company to dispute the charges from the deposit I made to them and then the BBB to file a complaint.
So while I am a slow learner, I do eventually learn. Please don't be like me. Call Kell-Chuck (or really anyone else) first because tomorrow I'm also calling them. Maybe I can give them my quote from Lacey Glass and get the bill a little lower.

Professional, clean, consistent work every time! Jake was patient with me while I made decisions regarding window replacements in my home. He helped me weigh out the different options and what was going to look best in my house! I love supporting local businesses and will continue to go here for any future projects!

I reached out to Lacey Glass for a bid on a custom sliding glass dog door insert. They have a dog door that they work with in-house but it wouldn't work with what I wanted so I had them work with the company I found for the dog door portion. Jake at Lacey Glass was amazing to work with. He kept the process moving and resolved the issues that came up from the dog door company.
He double checked my measurements on site and came and installed the dog door right before a big snowstorm. Not only were they great to work with but they came in thousands under the other bid I received and delivered a far superior product. Highly recommended!

**update** tried to solve with BBB and they refused to mediate. So unprofessional. I'm not happy at all with this company! I took a piece of glass in that was for outdoor furniture. I asked them to drill a 1" hole in the middle so I could put a tabletop fire pit on it. They said no problem, we have to order the glass bit and it will take a couple of days.
The cost to drill the hole was $13.75. They also mentioned they would not charge for the bit because "they needed it anyway". A week later I went in to pick it up and it was ready. Their glass guy was in a Motorcycle accident and it would be another week We went back in and talked to Matt. He said he broke the glass and that I needed to pick out a new piece.
He said they wouldn't charge for the bit or the hole but you have to pay for he glass. What? Called the mana and he said "we should've told you we are not responsible if we break the glass". What? Isn't this a glass place? Aren't you professionals? If I would've known that I would try to cut it myself! Called again and "came to an agreement". That didn't hold up and the 4th interaction and talked to another manager. Still no resolution and this is the 4th week. Bad, bad, bad, business practice.

This is the worst glass company that I have ever dealt with. Clients of mine used Lacey Glass to get a window replaced for the sale of their home. The first time they came out, the glass was broken. The second time, they were a no call, no show. The third time, they brought a window that was the WRONG SIZE. So then I call that Friday and they tell me they will push to have it done on Monday, mind you, the home was due to close on Wednesday.
So Monday comes around and they don't show up, and say that it will need to be Wednesday or Thursday. Then on Thursday they didn't show up, called my client and said they can't do it until Monday. We had to extend the closing date due to their incompetence. So Monday, they come out and the window is BROKEN AGAIN! My client told them not to come back or order any more glass and was able to take care of it himself that day. This was completely ridiculous.
