House Of Windows Inc. DBA Kraz Construction

We arranged for Kraz Construction to do some exterior repairs in May 2021. We paid down $1,115. which was approximately 25%. We discovered that some of the work we had hired them to do was covered under an insurance claim and changed the scope of the work down in Sept 2021. I contacted the person we dealt with and was referred to another gentleman who allegedly does the scheduling.

This happened in Oct 2021. I spoke with the gentleman and was told that he would get back to me with a date that that could schedule the work. We have never been contacted since. Due to surgeries and a broken leg, wintering in Florida, etc, this was not high on my priority list. I have found the cancelled check and realized that we gave this to the company on May 18, 2021.

I called today and on the first call the phone rang and rang and then disconnected. On the 2nd call a young lady took my name and number and said someone would call me. I am no longer confident that this company can do the work for us at the price quoted due to price increases. Also, the young lady mentioned a shortage of workers. This does not bode well for our situation.

How long will it take to get our money refunded. Will the company be cooperative or will this be letters to the Better Business Bureau and then small claims court. Time will tell.

Got all of our windows installed, and they look beautiful. Rob and Rene were awesome and professional, and even took the time to answer some of my questions. Really great job. thank you.

We had all the windows on our house, including the sliding patio door, replaced. From the initial sales call, to the clean up when finished, everything went smooth and professional. All details of the product and installation were explained thoroughly, including the actual window itself using a cut away model. Financing options were explained. It took two days to complete the job.

The two brothers, Rob and Rene, worked like a well oiled machine! The outside finish of the windows looks beautiful and the superior caulking job is a bonus. The Rob and Rene made sure we understood everything they were doing and respected our time and our property. No surprises, as the windows, door and installation were exactly as initially described. Except a pleasant one - the windows actually deadened the outside noise and made inside the house quieter.

After a horrible, disappointing, failed install with first installer, you all came through in sending me your best. Rob and Rene are the greatest crew! They are polite, considerate, professional, dedicated to the task, definitely good at what they do, had this lady smiling from beginning to end. Would recommend Kraft Construction to my friends with a recommendation for Rob and Rene for windows installation!

Yesterday I had my triple patio door installed. Everything went very well. Craig, the installer, and his helper were great. Craig is a very professional and skilled installer. Everything about this project was easy after doing my research. The salesman wasn't pushy. The office staff were responsive and got back to me promptly with every question asked. The installation was seamless. I highly recommend them!

I had a great experience with Kraz Construction and would recommend them highly. They were professional and cleaned up the entire work area when finished. I also really like that my new patio door has a lifetime guarantee.

The issues I have had with install on my siding have still not been resolved. Over a year I've been waiting to get this taken care of. My siding was damaged in various places due to poor installation. I also had them install a window. I asked that they match the Anderson windows I already have. I didn't get the same window, but instead received a cheap look alike window and already have weather stripping falling off. I am pretty disappointed with the service and quality.

My experience with Kraz was awesome! Devon & JR just installed insulation and were so polite, friendly and professional. I am so pleased with the overall experience that I had dealing with Kraz. The overall experience was great. When I filled out the form online to contact me, they immediately called me back and set up for Mitch to come out and give me an estimate.

He worked with me and a few days later Kraz contacted me to thank me for my business.they kept me up to date on everything, informed me when they would be out. Thank you Kraz for your professionalism!

The roof was left uncompleted and uncovered. It rained and leak into the bedroom and ruined the roof. I had to have the ceiling repaired and repainted which was over a $1000. I calked Leo who told me to call the office. They wanted before and after pictures but of course I had no before pictures because there was nothing wrong until damage occurred.

I did not have to pay the money that was owed after insurance. But that didn't cover the pain of having to do these repairs and the clean up. Also on the same side of the house they ruined the motion light that was installed and never said a word about it. Know that has to be repaired. My husband and I can't do it because it involves a ladder and climbing.

So now I have to pay for a handyman to repair it plus the a new motion detector light. I was very disappointed in the service although the roof was done properly. Leo told me he would be with us every step to make things were done right but I never heard a word from him even though he was aware of the problem.

We have had all our windows and doors replaced by Kraz Construction. They have some of the most professional and knowledgeable staff around. Kraz has worked with us from doing a single window to multiple windows at a time. Chris Dove is such and amazing asset to your team. One of the most non pushy salesmen I have ever meet! Professional and polite!

They have a few installers, but we only request Craig. Craig is always on time if not early. Craig has the up most respect for his customers and their homes. He works so proficiently he had our new storm door and front door put in in about four hours with no help. Craig makes sure to leave the area that he worked in clean if not cleaner than when he arrived! Keep up the amazing work!

I'd give them a lower rating if I could. The estimator showed up a little late(10 mins from appointment time) and wasn't prepared to give me a written estimate which is what I specifically asked for from him when I set the appointment. He carried no paperwork or clipboard and didn't even have a flashlight to see the damage I had on my garage siding.

He then told me they don't replace damaged vinyl siding. I asked him why his employer would send him all the way out to Hebron, IN to write an estimate at 6pm on a Wednesday night in November when it's nearly dark outside if they didn't do this kind of work and he said he didn't know! I highly recommend you find someone else to hire. Good luck.

Would give zero stars if I could. Ordered 6 inch gutters from them 11 weeks ago- was told at the time by the salesperson that they do not subcontract the work. Followed up last Wednesday to see when they would be installed- I had to call them. Was told that the installer would be out on Friday at 830am- he didn't show up. Waited over an hour and called, the office had no clue where he was but put me on hold then told me that his truck broke down and he wouldn't be out today.

They were supposed to call me back to let me know when they could reschedule the install. Again, after waiting over 1.5 hours I had to call them. They said they would have to check with their installer to see his schedule- I questioned them if it's not subcontracted work why didn't they know the installers schedule? Something wasn't making sense.

Again they made up some excuse and told me they didn't subcontract. The guy will come out on Monday. I wake up Saturday morning to some older guy in an unmarked truck poking around my house- tells me he's installing my gutters on Monday and he's figuring out what he needs for the job. He also informs me Dave (the GM) knew his truck was broken down because it had been for a month! He's a subcontractor who owns his own company and he tells me the work could have already been completed and for cheaper had I contacted him directly! I'm fuming at this point- extremely unprofessional.

Guy shows back up Monday morning at 8am, informs me his crew will be at my house soon but they won't have time to finish the whole job before it rains in the afternoon. They can get my gutters down but can't put the new ones up-we're supposed to have severe storms in the afternoon. This is where I lose it! I call Kraz to speak with Dave who is as rude as rude can be- I hate when men in certain industries belittle women. "Well ma'am you have to take the old gutters down before you can put up new ones" and " you should just be happy we've answered your calls when you've called some businesses aren't doing that".

He has zero explanation for the lies about subcontracting but claims EVERYONE does it! Ummmm no- you answer the phone in order to get business and if subcontracting is so common why lie about it Dave! We wanted to use a local company but this company is awful and Dave is the most unprofessional GM I have ever dealt with. Funny thing is we met with another company and decided to give them about 40k worth of work in addition to the gutters-hardie siding and soffits. Kraz and Dave's loss! The only good thing they did was give me my $1500 deposit back!

I received numerous calls regarding my situation. I should've taken better notes and apologize for any negative comments or ratings that do not apply to Kraz. The fact is they did get a hold of me promptly and although they were not able to help me the prompt reply is appreciated as well as the explanation given.

I am finally satisfied with my new gate. David was the most polite person with my issues. They fixed my gate and all is great. David thanks, you are a great person. I need new siding, I will call you.

Shocked at the high-pressure sales pitch we got from Kraz's sales rep. The rep seemed disrepectful and rude when they found out we weren't ready to buy. The price and product sounded good, but that pressure and disrespect was a deal breaker for us.

The salesman talked me into letting them replace my garage door. They contracted it out and didn't stand behind the warranty I was promised. He negotiated pricing down then added $150 for a permit that wasn't pulled. They hung up on me when I complained about their offer to cover only half of the repair costs and left me to pay all the costs. Look elsewhere for your repair needs. Plenty of good contractors out there.

I had a new storm door installed by two men from Kraz Construction. Their names were J R and Devin. What a couple of very nice young men. I have 35 people working for me and I pray that they represent my Company as well as these two me represent Kraz. They were both very polite and did one heck of a job removing the old door and installing the need one.

Even though it was not a very messy job, they did an outstanding job cleaning up, which is almost unheard of with most contractors. I will definitely be calling them back for any work in the future. Thank you again J R and Devin for taking PRIDE in your work. It's a trait most young people lack.

The estimate provide today for a new roof was terrible and over inflated. The two employees that provide the estimate were unprofessional. I would never recommend Kraz Construction. They provided no documentation to support their proposed quote. One of the fellows talked to me very disrespectfully and was told to leave my home. Very interesting dealing with them.

Justin and Joe where our installers. Really great guys with a great sense of humor. Very courteous and professional throughout the entire installation. They installed our windows and siding. Excellent company! Would definitely refer them to other friends and family members!

Had a total home remodel done and we couldn't be more happy with the result! Justin and Joe installed a new back door, new siding and fascia and soffits. They were very professional and pleasant and we would highly recommend them! Thank you very much! We are very satisfied customers

My parent ordered windows from this company which were supposed to have a lifetime warranty. The seal is now broken in multiple windows and it is freezing in my parents house. Kratz is now saying that the company they used for the windows went out of business and there is nothing they can do. That is horrible business policy and I'm encouraging my parents to contact the Better Business Bureau about their practices. What type of company conducts business like this? I would love a response.

I'd like to thank Kraz for all the extra effort put forth to get windows from there supplier that didn't have quality issues caused by the supplier. There was never any push back from Kraz. Kraz stands behind its work 100%. Thanks to the whole Kraz team, you too Randy. Maybe I should get a free window from the suppier. Then again, maybe not.

They sent out a guy to look at a problem I had in my attic. He showed up without a ladder, then asked me for a flashlight! After climbing up and trampling some of the insulation they had put up there years ago, he said he'd send a crew out to re-blow in some more insulation.well, I never heard back from them. They are unprepared and totally unprofessional. All they want is your money.they could care less about the job. Don't let them take you for a ride.run away from them NOW!

Craig the window installer was awesome! I had Windows installed and I can truly say they are beautiful and I can no longer feel the cold air from outside. Craig was very professional and very neat! I am a very detailed and neat person who can spot anything and everything that's not right and I can say I am completely satisfied. Craig, you did a wonderful job! The men that came to the house, Aaron and Tony were very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They bent over backwards to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. They are licensed, bonded, and rated A with the BBB. They really knew their product.

NEVER get an estimate from these people. My god, I have never been so annoyed and insulted by an estimate in my life. Don't let these people in your home when they come door to door - and they probably will. I got three estimates for some sliding windows in my basement. Kraz's quote was DOUBLE what the other two quotes were, and they were still some generic vinyl window that they were pushing. Okay, fine, no harm done, but the way these JERKS behaved in my home was complete insanity.

The estimators were a tag team of two loud old guys who kept going back and forth like a used car salesman about how great they were, and how everyone chooses Kraz, and how all other contractors are awful, etc. etc. etc. This went on for a half hour, during which I told them I wasn't going with their bid and they needed to leave. They didn't.

Finally when I walked to the door and opened it and said "get out of my house", they did, making little snippy jokes along the way. After this, they stood in the middle of my street for FORTY minutes, loudly talking about how they totally landed the sale and they suckered me in. Really, they were talking that loudly that I could hear them from my house.

I understand it's not easy to be a door to door salesman, but when you 1) treat your potential customers like they're stupid, and 2) TALK ABOUT HOW THEY'RE STUPID, you have zero chance of landing a sale. I went with someone else and saved $800. Yeah, I sure do sound stupid.

***UPDATE 7/14/16*** Once management was notified of my situation corrective actions were taken. First I got a call from the general manager and was apologized to. It was understood that my situation had gotten out of hand. Next, to make sure that the job would be done correctly, he have me his direct number and was getting progress updates from the general manager himself.

There was no bitterness or any argument when speaking with the general manager. He was concerned about the situation and determined to do what he could to fix the problem. Even though I was upset about the situation, I was glad to see that kraz actually does care about the customer. It seems that we may have just gotten off on the wrong foot. I appreciate that they took the time to kindly fix this problem rather than just push it under the rug. 7/11/16 We simply needed the glass in an old window replaced. this should have taken roughly an hour (I worked construction before and have seen how quickly it is done).

After we made the appointment the sales rep was very pushy and uncomfortable. After we went through with the appointment, later that week someone came later that week to measure the window and put the glass order in. He said it would take two weeks for the glass to come in. when the glass came in we made the installation appointment and two guys came to put it in.

Apparently the glass was too big and didn't fit. So another two week wait on glass and "it broke on the way from the vendor, but we need to pay the rest of the the amount". I said we wouldn't pay till it's done. Again another reorder. two weeks later we get a call that the glass didn't come in. A week after that, the glass finally came in. Again, we made another installation appointment and the guy came and put the glass in. he put the shims in incorrectly and there were gaps in the corners.

After I called and emailed pics I got a call back a few days later and they asked for their payment, again I said no till the window is done. Another appointment was made to fix the first guys mess up. when he came, he fixed the window shims BUT cracked the glass in the process and needed to reorder another glass replacement. That was three weeks ago and I still haven't heard from them.

I will NEVER go with kraz again. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone! I'd hate to see how bad a bigger project would go with them. Overall they seem inexperienced and unprofessional.
