My garage door had one of the springs break. They came out the same day and fixed it for me. They showed me three options which all had a warranty with it. I loved that they took the time to explain it all to me. They were very friendly, kind and hardworking. I would definitely recommend this company for your garage door needs.

Updated. Owner called to discuss. Sent out a manager to review the tech's work. Some parts could use replacement but nothing urgent. He adjusted the springs, gave a great lesson on how everything works. What to watch for, many pointers. The tech was new & came from AC outfit & being given more training & supervision as a result of the prior review. Very satisfied with this company now & would use them in the future.

Tech called 10 minutes out from the house and arrived on time; evaluated the door opener issue that was incorrectly installed by the builder and gave a fair estimate to fix.after an hour the problem was resolved and door opener was working properly as it should have been from the get go.good job by Discount Garage Doors. I applaud their display of professionalism & they communicate very well. I recommend their services.

I called DGD for emergency service when one of the springs on my garage door broke trapping the car inside. I received the most excellent service, far beyond my expectations. The office personnel (Kelsey & Ariel) were pleasant and professional and gave me very precise information on what to expect as far as arrival time and pricing. Jimmy arrived on time and completed the job quickly and professionally. I received a 5 year warranty as well. This will most definitely be the vendor I call if I have any more garage door issues.

Bryon with DGD came to our home, same day, and fixed our garage door/installed a new upgraded spring coil and replaced the arm bar. He was wonderful- explained everything, gave us a breakdown prior to starting the work and did a great job. He was courteous, efficient and very well versed. Great company- great service!

I called to get a quote on a garage door and spoke with Kristina she was kind and gave me easy to understand estimate and scheduled a date. Upon arrival though the person they sent to check out my old door was rude and was complaining on while I waited so long to contact the company like we were just in a pandemic.

My experience with this company have been disappointing. Here are 2 examples of poor customer service over the past year with varying degrees of dissatisfaction. The first experience was in never being able to speak with a live person in their Customer Service organization. After 2 times being on hold for more than an hour total, I finally reverted to using their Chat bot where I was able to schedule the work to be done.
Once we got the job scheduled and the installer onsite, the results were fine and the installer did a great job of replacing the springs and rollers as well as replaced the garage door opener. The second experience and the one I am most dissatisfied with deals with the acquisition and installation of a garage door screen. Finally on Aug 9thafter a 3rd time reschedule. 11 weeks, 55 business days after the order was placed and 25 business days past the 4 to 6 week "worst case" estimate of availability I was quoted when I ordered the screen on May 19th. the screen was installed but was damaged in shipment so we are now awaiting a replacement to come in and be scheduled for installation.
In both cases, once installers were on site, things went well but my frustration is with the company's inability to deliver good customer service. I'm a Retired US Army Officer and a Critical Account Manager for a global Software Company, I understand the impact of COVID and what constitutes good Customer Service. My experience with DGD has not delivered that.

My garage door would not open, so I called Discount Garage Doors, with a St. Petersburg Phone Number, although located in Brooksville, Florida, but was put on hold for almost 1/2 hour, before I could reach a live person! While on hold, a recording came on to say that there is no extra charge for Emergencies, and that they will work around the customer's schedule, and you could obtain same day service, which turned out to be nothing but lies it seems.
When I told the Staff I had an Emergency, I was told that they were all booked up, and scheduled me for 5 days away. I was told that I would have to wait for a cancellation in order to obtain service sooner. I was also informed that I could use the coupons for DGD that were in the phone book. I therefore posted a negative review about DGD. When my review was posted, DGD called me and said they would give me an appointment the next day if I deleted my negative review, which I refuse to do.
The Manager then called me a liar, but the recording is proof, unless they deleted it. The repairman was prompt, but all he had to do was reprogram my remote and change a light bulb, which cost $65. He told me I could not use the coupons I had from the phone book. He tried to get me to agree to over $500 in repairs with a Maintenance Plan, and when I said no, he had me sign an agreement that I decline the extra work. He left without changing the light bulb, but did return. I therefore feel that this company was not being honest when dealing with consumers in general.

Scheduled an appointment, 2-5 time frame. After 5 I called asking about when they were coming. Was told it would be around 7 or 8! Told them to cancel. Half a day wasted. They should have called me and let me know. Terrible customer service. Asked for a return call to discuss this but no call received.

Fast service came out same day. I was out of town and my wife ran into our garage door (typical I know). She called me not knowing what to do because she could not get the door to close and with me being out of town she was afraid to leave the garage door open all night. They were able to send someone out even though it was late in the day to get the door closed for her. They came back out the next morning and installed our new garage door with a WiFi garage door opener. Happy customers here and we will be using them anytime we need service.

Pao with Discount Garage Doors came out to our home right on time and within the scheduled time frame. Our garage door had caused us multiple issues throughout the previous months including not even opening. Pao made sure to remove any faulty parts and replace with premium rollers and brand new garage spring. Pao went above and beyond while swapping all the old and faulty parts and provided excellent customer service throughout. While wrapping things up Pao even quoted us out for future purposes and suggested installing a JackShaft door unit. I would highly recommend Pao and Discount Garage Doors!

Derek, The service person did an AWESOME job on November 13, 2017. I called to inquired about a problem and Derek came to help. There was no charge for the analysis and the problem was a bad mother board. Derek patiently explained my choices and installed a new opener in a timely manner. He cleaned up the area. I would recommend him to everyone.

I was very pleased when Tavis came out to fix a broken spring. He patiently explained every part that needed to be replaced.& why it was to my advantage to replace the whole door, which was done the next day. I had intended to post a 5 star rating, but, having read the other Yelp reviews, realize I may have been conned. It does open & close more quietly & smoothly than during the 9 yrs. I've lived here. I always read reviews on the co page first, but after this will also check out Yelp also.

Very UNprofessional, the guy who came over to my house for an estimate looked at my garage door and said F**k, I just drove 45 minutes to get here, I can't do this door. Then he left, I called the office to let them know, they seemed apologetic, but didn't seem that bothered. My door needs some additional framing and they don't provide that, but that's not how you conduct business.

I called for a repair to my 90 yr old mother's garage door that was acting up. She allowed the repair to take place although the tech NEVER explained that a new opener would be cheaper. $687.00 later, she had no choice but to pay the bill. I would NEVER recommend this company and will be contacting the attorney general, the BBB, and the Chamber of Commerce because they fleece the elderly!

I requested that a broken spring be replaced. The guy came out and replaced the spring, then the up sell began. He proceeded to try and sell me a complete garage door overhaul to the tune of $750! I knew this was not necessary as the garage door was fine, it only needed a spring. Then he had the nerve to tell me don't use the opener as it was worn out. As soon as he left, I tried the opener and it worked fine. Do yourself a big favor and stay clear of this company. Rip off and up sell artists with no conscience.
