We started in 1994, a Contractor/Custom Home Builder, a Banker and a Manufacturing Engineer. We discovered the Solatube brand product through a kitchen remodel and ordered one from the manufacturer, Solatube International, in California. We then proceeded to bring the distribution of Solatube skylights to the state of Washington.
Since 2000 we have installed railing on buildings ranging from high rise condominiums in Seattle and Bellevue, to waterfront property in Sammamish, landscape views, and everything in between. Our Showroom is full of samples of our designer, custom, glass picket, and cable railing options. Our knowledgeable staff is happy to help you navigate through your project and pick the railing that will enhance your home.
With over 20+ years of industry experience in commercial and residential installations we take pride in the quality and longevity of our products. Specializing in aluminum railing and stainless-steel products you can depend on their low-maintenance and long-lasting durability. Our aluminum railing systems set the industry standard for home as well as commercial railing.

After just a few days with the Solar Star, I would say it is the most cost-effective home improvement investment I made for protecting the roof and attic long-term with the immediate benefit of a much more comfortable home as the stealth cooler. The interior of the house has been at least 10o cooler than the outside temperature. I had the habit of opening the windows to let the warm breeze in, which before was cooler than the hot interior, as the ceiling was radiating so much heat into the home in spite of insulation. Well, that only made the house warmer. Now, the air outside is warmer than inside, so I keep the windows closed to keep the cooler air in.
I have an evaporative air cooler that is sufficient for those few days of hot weather that we have here. The improvement in comfort has been tremendous. In the past, when the air cools down at night, I keep the box fan on the window to force chilly air into the house. Well, I feel cold from the chilly air, but if I turn off the fan, I feel hot from the house structure that got too hot from the hot attic.
It was a strange sensation. It used to be that the next morning, the house was still hot. Now, it retains just enough warmth for the evening chill. What a difference the much cooler attic has made! I've heard some comments before that the solar attic fan is not a cost-effective investment that takes much time to recoup and not very effective in cooling the home. Well, I can now say for myself that I am thrilled about making this investment.
Your technician came on time and only took 30 minutes to install. If I were keeping the house longer, I would also invest in the solatube and maybe the whole house fan. Thanks for helping me through the purchase decision.

We could not be happier with the service and products we received from Northwest Natural Lighting. We contacted them because we wanted to bring light into a dark stairwell in the middle of our townhouse. The Solatubes they recommended were perfect, and our house feels completely different now. From our first phone call all the way through the installation, they took great care to answer our questions, explain all the details, and listen carefully to our needs and concerns. If you are thinking about how to brighten up a space, definitely give them a call.

It sounds corny, but SolaTubes are a life-changing upgrade. We lived for years with no windows in our master closet and two other rooms, not knowing that SolaTubes existed and not wanting to go through the expense of putting in skylights. Plus, with solar panels on our roof, our options were pretty limited because of the available space. SolaTubes though - wow!
They make an incredible difference in our home. There's nothing quite like natural light and if we had more rooms without windows, we'd absolutely have more of these guys put in. For something like 50% of the cost of adding a skylight (probably even less actually) and just an hour or two for the install, getting them put in was a no-brainer. And the addition of the solar-powered nightlights was a great addition.
We rarely ever have to turn the lights on in the rooms now. Nate was a pleasure to work with and the installer Eric was patient, professional, and explained everything before proceeding with the work. He was very accommodating too, going out of his way to troubleshoot our limited roof space, suggesting alternatives to make the install work. In the end, we had 3 SolaTubes installed and we couldn't be happier! We're just kicking ourselves for not doing it sooner.
