He knew how to handcraft plastic slipcovers though and began knocking door-to-door offering his services in hopes of making ends meet. As people invited him into their homes, they were amazed by his exquisite craftsmanship. They quickly began asking "do you do reupholstery?" He worked tireless trying to keep up with demand and hired other artisans to craft pillows, draperies, headboards and more all by hand. I have had a terrible experience with this company. They took my money (thousands of dollars) for deposit. I had to call repeatedly to try and figure out what was going on. Their customer service was incredibly rude and unprofessional when I tried to get help with my order. Their salesperson disappeared after she got my deposit. Unbelievably unprofessional.
I understand that there are serious supply chain issues, so I understand the delays (I ordered in January, and still haven't received my order). But I cannot tolerate the way they treated me as customer - with essentially open derision for having to answer my questions. Window treatments are a discretionary purchase - I'll do without before I'll let a company berate and belittle me for asking questions.

Starting off there were a few communication issues with what I wanted to purchase, however, they were resolved immediately by Ilan. I am very happy with the out come of my purchase, and the special attention I received from Ilan. I'm sad to say that although this company came recommended by my interior designer, I had a rather poor experience. Spent over $4400 on 3 sets of windows for my main floor. I chose a woven natural shade to bring some 'nature' in. I did not want room darkening and relayed that to the sales person (Esther). She was extremely nice/pleasant at the time and did show me various options.
What my problem here is, is that I was not given a good/full description of the product. 1) the shade sticks out several inches from my window. I had relayed that I wanted something minimal, sleek. this is not. BUT more importantly is #2) these shades provide absolutely zero privacy after dusk. Being in sales myself, I'm extremely disappointed in the fact that they did not give me warning or make mention that my choice would provide NO privacy.
Not even when we were discussing adding a backing, which would have been the perfect time to point this out. Nothing was mentioned, I was never asked if this would be a concern for me. Had that been asked, the answer would have been a SOLID YES. 3) when I called to see if there was anything that could be done, the answer was that I could order something else at cost.
No idea what 'cost' would be as it's product specific. I asked them to come and remove this waste and I was also told they could not do that. Very frustrating. Poor service. For a company that claims to be 'luxury' they do not measure up. Luxury includes a reasonable amount of catering to your customer & their needs and at very minimum, knowing the product you are selling.

I called asking for the price range to reupholster to arm chairs. She asked want type of chair is it was (wooden frame, upholstered etc) I repeated that they were fulling upholstered I just wanted to change the color. She then rudely said "how am I supposed to tell you a price if I don't know the fabric and I can't see the chair". She didn't ask me to email a picture, describe the fabric, nothing. I just said ok thank you and she quickly got off of the phone. This was so rude and unprofessional. Honestly terrible customer service.

This was our first time to look for window treatment service. We had wonderful experience with Rockville Interiors. We placed the order of Douglas Hunter shades and shutters for kitchen in September. The team came to measure in two weeks. Everything was installed before Christmas. The installation team provided great service - they were nice, wore masks and shoe covers during the installation, and explained patiently. Truly appreciate their service!

After shopping around at other shade stores we decided to go with Rockville Interiors as they had the product we wanted. We had Hunter Douglas Silhouette shades installed throughout our home. Rockville Interiors was professional and responsive from the beginning of our project to the end. We worked with their designer, Dorota, who was knowledgeable and efficient.
The installers were pleasant and carried out the job in a professional and Covid-safe manner. I highly recommend Rockville Interiors and plan to use them for my future interior projects.

I had a horrendous experience with one of Rockville Interiors' nearby competitors. I took a chance one day and walked in to see if they could help. They did immediately -- worked with the manufacturer -- and within a few weeks my months-old problem was fixed. They are friendly and focused on problem solving. I will definitely use them next time I need window treatments.

It is now August 25, 2021 and Tom the owner of Rockville Interiors, his wife, Esther, and son Ian, have delivered nothing and no resolution. They got the money and ran. We have defective blinds on the windows, lies told, over 12 months gone by and over 4 thousand dollars spent. It certainly seems as though Hunter Douglas and Rockville Interiors are partners in scamming the public, with Rockville Interiors leading the way. Tom recently won the sale contract to do Amazon, Jeff Bezos, home in VA and so watch out, if you're an ordinary [female] customer, you could get outright cheated while they laugh all the way to the bank.
The worst retail experience ever. If you regretfully decide to use this horrific company despite what you just read - DO NOT pay them or trust them until you have received and quality checked each and every item, fully installed.

Beyond all expectations! I received excellent advise in the shop and was looing forward to have the curtains installed. Armando showed up ON THE DOT! he made sure my place was clean and safe when he came in, while he worked and when he left. He was attentive to details, worked quickly and with a great attitude! He explained everything when I asked and did not mind my "supervising" him (it is my place - and I need to know what's going on!). When he left, everything was working perfect! The room looks wonderful, warm and inviting. I am so pleased!

Rockville Interiors always takes good care of me. After a great experience getting blackout shades for both of our kids bedrooms (anything to get a few more minutes of shut eye on the weekends, am I right?!), they've helped me get setup with Lutron all over my house. Lutron isnt cheap, but it's the best brand for smart home reliability. The folks at Rockville Interiors helped advise me on a setup that fit my needs, and followed through to ensure I got my order delivered in a timely fashion. Thanks again!

We had an outstanding and first class experience with Rockville Interiors. We had motorized shades and roller shades added to our newly constructed Gulick home. We cannot be happier with the results! They are absolutely beautiful and you cannot even hear the motorized shades when they are in use. Ilan and his amazing team of professionals were meticulous and made sure that each phase of the installation was done perfectly. From craftmanship, quality of materials, professionalism and follow-through, they are top tier experts in this area. I would highly recommend Rockville Interiors.

Update: 3/13/21 They came back out and replaced the drapes normal fabric backing with a memory fabric. That solved the issue of the drapes not hanging neatly. As I explained to Ilan, we went with Rockville Interiors because despite costing more, we wanted a hassle free experience. We didn't get that but eventually they came through. My feedback to him was they need to get back to the customer when promised and make sure the type of fabric selected fits the customers expectation for the overall look.
Apparently thinker material will have a more rumpled look which is not what we wanted. I felt the designed did a great job helping with patterns and color selection but, IMHO, missed this important esthetic element. ----- original review ---- I am very disappointed with the level of customer service we have received from Rockville interiors. We worked with their designer back in October and were told we have our drapes and shades hopefully installed by Thanksgiving.
They were put in after the first of the year so we missed the holidays with them and then the drapes never hung correctly. They came out and took them back and made some adjustments and brought them back out install them and they're still not correct. What's the most frustrating is that they do not seem to return phone calls or messages are hard to get a hold of. So here we are in the middle of February and still waiting for them to make things right

I had an excellent experience with Rockville Interiors! Dan and his team did an amazing job setting expectations and giving me all the options as I was looking to install new blinds in my brand new home. I ultimately purchased the cordless faux wood blinds and I couldn't be happier with how they look and the ease of use! They have made an excellent addition to the home and I have already received multiple compliments on them.
The professionalism and continued follow up and attention to detail from Dan and his team was much appreciated - I had some great service the day of install. I look forward to working with Rockville Interiors again and would highly recommend them to any customer!

I FaceTimed with a consultant one day, sent some measurements beforehand, and showed up with paint swatches, and a proposal with a few options was ready for me when I arrived. In less than an hour, I was scheduling someone to stop by the next day to measure. I couldn't be happier with the service or the product.

Simply excellent. A few years ago my husband purchased an Arhaus sectional sofa in a fabric I never cared for. When we started working with a decorator to spruce up our basement she suggested recovering the sofa to a more neutral color which was 1/4 of the price paid for the sofa. I had modest expectations and really did not fully understand the process but Rockville Interiors picked up the sofa, re-covered it and delivered it back.
The sofa looks fantastic. Additionally they could not be easier to work with. They are super accommodating with deliveries times and professional. The sofa was delivered with a small mark on the fabric which our decorator noted and Rockville Interiors had someone out within a few days to professionally clean it. Ernest was our primary POC and wonderful to work with.

So, I normally don't write reviews, but I felt I had to help correct some misperceptions about Rockville Interiors. I looked around yelped for a good number of business that would reupholster my two sofas. There was one business that came slightly less, but the cost of shipping would offset the price of the work. They asked for a picture and dimension of the couch before giving me the estimate. So, I went to their showroom to pick out the fabric.
It was a big showroom of a lot of fabric sample, but there was no real pressure to pick the more expensive fabric. In fact, the first fabric Gabriella showed was the even further discounted. The pick up and drop off service was $90 total.how amazing is that for two full size sofas. The sofas looks great and I am very happy with every aspect of this transaction, which is hard to say for most.
For those complaining about fabric price for a pillow, please consider that their fabric are for reupholstering, which you can go to any Website or store and find out that they are typically more expensive. The turn around time was very quick as well. In short, this is a great business if you are looking to get your furniture reupholstered

They scheduled my appointment for a quote very quickly. Esther came to my home with a somewhat limited number of sample books based on what I said. I evidently took longer to choose than she wanted because she started getting impatient. She only brought tiny 4" square samples with very small pictures of the larger pattern - often in black and white.
The result of this is I based my sofa choice on a sample which showed maybe 25% of the total pattern. When the sofa arrived, all I could say was "Oh, no, Oh, no, Oh No!". I spent over $2500 to recover a sofa in a fabric which I immediately bought slipcovers to cover up. Unless you are skilled at visualizing without adequate information, I recommend you avoid any small pattered fabrics.
That said, their work was extraordinary. All parts of the fabric matched perfectly from sofa cushion to cushion. The arm covers on the slip-covered sofa were exquisite with braiding on the front edge and along the length to ensure a perfect tailored fit. I had a chair reupholstered at the same time and those arm covers were not tailored at all until I requested that they be re-made. Evidently the arm covers are made by the different teams (upholstery versus slip covers) and they done totally differently.
There was a mix-up and they did not deliver all the extremely expensive pillows but they still wanted me to pay for them. I refused to pay and we agreed on a compromise The pillows came quite quickly. Overall all, they get 5 stars for workmanship, 3 stars for service and 0 stars for providing enough information for the consumer to make an informed choice about the fabrics. I was a disappointed with my experience at Rockville Interiors. I needed a chair and ottoman recovered in denim. I chose Rockville because their labor estimate was lowest. However, they only had one choice for denim and the fabric was quite expensive. I ended up spending a ton more than I planned. Some other problems: I showed my salesperson a picture of the detail I would like on the seams.
She said it shouldn't be a problem and they could do it at no extra cost. When the chair came back, the seam detail was missing. There are medium-sized holes in the fabric on the front of the chair. The salesperson said the pickup and delivery coordinator would call me to pick up my chair and ottoman. (I paid $90 for this option.) After two weeks, the coordinator still hadn't called.
So I called Rockville Interiors myself and made the appointment for him to pick up. I felt like if I was paying so much for the whole service (labor, fabric and delivery), I shouldn't have to chase them to get the job done. Overall, I'm unhappy with the experience and will choose someone else for my future upholstery needs.

Stephanie and team are great! I will be using them again. I hired them for a large commercial lobby curtain installation. Due to the size of the project the fabric we selected became no longer available but Stephanie was able to work with the supplier to produce additional fabric and lived up to to their original commitment. I have nothing but positive things to say about how Rockville Interiors handled the project.

I had Lutron motorized shades installed yesterday by Rockville Interiors. The entire experience from measuring, ordering, and installation and post-installation follow up was seamless! I'm really impressed with their attention to detail, measuring and making sure everything would work for my particularity tricky set-up. The pro-active follow up throughout the process from Ilan was much appreciated.

We've had a lot of work done over the years and I was really impressed with how professional they were, bringing in blankets to set their equipment and tools on, covering our furniture so it didn't get dusty from drilling into the ceiling, making sure everything was set before leaving and cleaning up every last bit of debris. They were done really fast too. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

Rockville recently completed installing drapery and electronic shades in our new townhome. We worked with Ilan in collaborating with our designer, automation vendor, and general contractor over a period extending beyond one year. Ilan made the process effortless and the installation team was professional and efficient. The final work product is first class.
We have worked with similar vendors in other parts of the country, Rockville's quality and service levels stand alone at the top. We couldn't be more satisfied. We've used Rockville Interior's several times over the past 20 years and have always been delighted with their fine work. We recently had a sofa, love seat and 2 chairs reupholstered and they look gorgeous. They also redid the cushions and they are so comfortable now. Their friendly and professional staff helped up choose the right fabric from their vast selection in their beautiful showroom.
We saved a lot of time & money reupholstering our old furniture that fits our space perfectly versus searching for and buying new furniture that just doesn't seem to have the quality as our old furniture does. Rockville Interiors makes everything like new again. Highly recommended.

I recently had pillows, chair pads, curtains, and motorized shades installed by Rockville Interior's and had an amazing experience. The showroom had beautiful fabrics and the staff was very helpful with choosing the fabrics to complete the look I was going for. The end result and quality of the work was top notch.
