I was using this company for many years for all my glass works and was satisfied with their customer service. I don't know why they changed their show room staff, they are not knowledgeable with their products, and are not helpful and making mistakes on your orders. Unfortunately today they said that they don't take my order anymore and will close my account!

We had a glass shower enclosure installed by Bel Pre Glassworks last month. Enclosure is stable and door opens/closes well. It took a few weeks to set up the measurement, then 6 more weeks before installation. I've included pictures, so you can see how it looks -- note one towel bars is 1.5 inches lower and this extra towel bar is not centered. I specifically asked them to make sure that the towel bars were at the same height and we included a note in the quote about it -- so this was a huge error.
I've sent Bel Pre a couple emails with photos about the issue, but no response from them. Hope this helps potential customers who want their hardware to be centered / aligned to be aware of potential quality control issues.

The new breakfast table I have bought needed a glass top cover to be protected from three kids. I have gotten 5 price quotes and Bel Pre came to the 2nd cheapest with the shortest turnaround time. There were many options to choose from as for edge and corner trims. I placed an order on 10/15 and I was told that it might take around 2 weeks. The final product was delivered to my house less than a week.
The guys who brought the glass inside of the house took care of the whole process with the high quality of care. Glass top turned out to be perfect as expected. I highly recommend Bel Pre Glasswork.

Our credit card was stolen and used by an employee of Bel Pre, who is now charged with felony theft for stealing the cards of several Bel Pre customers. We spent hours speaking to police, reversing the charge, and getting a new card. Now we have been subpoenaed for the court case against the employee. We made our contact at Bel Pre, Jonathan, aware of this, and he never apologized, rather he complained about the nuisance this has been for him and the company.
We then attempted to escalate the issue to a manager named Courtney, who was unwilling to discount our work or attempt to remedy the situation in any way. She claimed that Bel Pre is not responsible for the actions of people they hire. I would caution anyone from using a company that does not feel responsible for the actions of their employees, especially actions regarding felony theft. Would this be a company you would feel safe having in your home?

I needed two tempered shelves, smooth-edged, for a cabinet and a refrigerator. Found Bel Pre online. The price was competitive so I visited the office. I had parts from one of the broken shelves, unsure of the thickness measurement, but someone came to help measure it (free). The shelves were ready within a week and turned out to be perfect. I'd definitely return here for glass needs.

Worst experience ever! Very unprofessional. They seem to be a small company who does Not know their job. I wanted to order a glass top for my dining room. First of all they won't schedule anything over the phone, you have to email them and wait ~2 days so they respond. They scheduled me for a month after my initial request to do the measurement!. And then few days prior to measure date they called me saying that they don't have enough staff and I need to call another company. Couldn't they say it the first time I called? Why wasting my time for a month. I suggest you find another company instead of wasting your time with them.

Let me begin with saying that I absolutely love my shower doors, the maintenance however is excessive. I've had my doors for 5 years and the seal around the doors needed to be replaced 3 times. On todays visit, the technician stated that the last person that put the threshold on the shower door put it on backwards. The cost for the technician to come out was $250, the total cost of the parts could not be given to me until the work was complete.
When I contacted the owner to get the final cost and to express my concerns/dissatisfaction with the materials used due to the fact that the materials frequently needed replacement, our conversation became intense and she "the owner" stated that they would not began any service until she ran my credit card (even though no work had been performed and the final total was not given).
I asked if it was normal and customary to ask for payment before any services were rendered and she said "no" she needed my payment because I was questioning the price and that she did not think I would pay after the job was complete. I am saddened to believe that the owners response to me exercising my right as a consumer to ask questions regarding pricing and not allowing the company to bill me before beginning the service, has serious undertones of racism.
I am a well established African American female and business owner, the female owner (self proclaimed "TOP DOG") is Caucasian. My question: If it is NOT a normal procedure for your company to collect payment prior to providing service, why are you treating me different? This company/owner has an EXTREMELY poor attitude and rates EXTREMELY poor in customer service. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!

I am very upset with the staff at Bel pre. I called to get an estimate to have a glass table top for my coffee table. The receptionist yransfered me to Darryl who I spoke with clearly that the table top does kot have a set rectangular or square pattern. He told me to get the table at the store to help with measurement. I was given a quote of $54 for it.
I was so excited that I drove 20 miles and took the table with me. When I reached the store in Rockville, a guy named Francisco told me that I have to provide the pattern. I rold him that I spoke with Darryl. When I spoke with Darryl he completely changed what he said. He went back and said the price will be $120 if I provide the pattern, otherwise they would have to go to my home to get it done and the price quoted was $240.
I could not believe this. They made me take my table for measurements but did not help me with it at all. On the contrary qanted to charged 5 times of quoted amount on phone. STAY AWAY from this company. They are looters. There is no zero star otherwise o would have given them a zero.

I have been using mirror back splashes for years. Having called upon both Bel Pre and a competitor, the other company provided superior service until tragedy befell them. I turned to Bel Pre but their service fell short. In fact, the installer returning to reseal faulty sealant (which turned from clear to black in a month), insisted it was not incorrect.
He corrected it and it's been clear for the past 14 years. Hmmm. I turned to them now for a new project and am very sorrow to say they haven't changed. I called for an update today on the times Peter gave me last week. Courtney took charge of the call and flippantly told me there was 'a pandemic going on'. How about that! I explained I was calling to fit any of their necessary scheduling adjustments into our contractor's overall work underway in our home. Peter just called to say that, based on my attitude, I could go find someone else. While that has never happened to me before from any vendor, he actually voiced a decision I had already taken. Please don't be misled by the one star. It should be lower.

I called to order 2 bathroom mirrors to replace 2 mirrors that had been on the wall for 35 years. I gave them the dimensions and said that I wanted them mounted on U clips. Employee Courtney said that they must go measure the area themselves and would not take my word for the dimensions. So I gave them permission to take the dimensions themselves. Installer Peter made the measurements and made the mirrors 2 inches higher in length than what I gave him.
But I accepted his measurements. That process took 9 days. I again repeated that I wanted U clips. According to Courtney he said they don't do U clips. They use only mastic when installing a mirror on the wall. So I went to another vendor. Bel Pre seems to have an attitude, so I won't call them again.

No Bel-Pre I would not go with BelPre Glass who just did a bad job for me. They installed a frameless shower enclosure that leaks (a little) for which I paid them almost $3000. It flooded the floor when I first ran the shower. (You cannot test the seal the day the enclosure is installed as it has to dry.) One glass panel of three it turned out when they came to fix it was 1/8 too short and they refused to replace that.
They actually came FIVE times most likely knowing that the problem could not be fixed. The panel on the other side does not leak as the panel is the correct size. (it's a 3-panel glass slanted on two sides with the door in the middle.) Then they blamed me for the problem, saying I insisted on a frameless, rather than a semi-frameless, enclosure which is not a good idea for such a small space and the frameless enclosures are only to deflect water not hold it in.
They said they would be glad to charge me $875.00 to replace the frameless with a semi-frameless. (A frameless enclosure sits on the tile; a semi-frameless sits in a curb attached to the tile floor). Janet Warren St.

I needed to order a very simple piece of tempered glass: The nonchalant receptionist who sounded bored at her desk, made me send the dimensions by email after putting me on hold at least 3 times. No confirmation was sent. When I called the next day, the same receptionist answered and placed me on hold another 3 times, then made me go thru the whole thing again only to tell me that "the oven wouldn't be working next week" So basically I wasn't able to get the job done for 2 weeks! And this is a place that specializes in glass sales! I decided to go to Dulles Glass and it will be done in 5 days

This company has the best service around. The sales personnel were informative and efficient and the ones who completed the installation were very thorough. They were a little more expensive but well worth it because they were such a joy to deal with. You definitely get what you pay for with them! Great company.

My recent experience proves that one cannot solely rely on reviews when contracting work to be done. This company has courteous and knowledgeable employees who were capable of reaching my very high standards. They measured and installed numerous glass shower enclosures and all look fantastic. They may not have been the cheapest around but that did not matter in the end. I couldn't be happier with the work that they completed!

Just had the worst experience with this establishment and I do NOT recommend them to anyone. My in-laws have been coming here for years and the way we were all just treated was dispicable. We had a glass top made for our coffee table and when we picked the table up, the table was damaged in multiple places. We weren't even asking for a discount or anything but when we pointed it out to the woman there, she said in an extremely insolent tone "Sorry, you signed a waiver." Really?!?!
If we had received a sincere apology and recognition of the error they made, I wouldn't be typing this review right now. But the attitude we received after our family has given them not only business for years from ourselves but also recommending them to multiple friends and associates. No more, I will be sure that everyone knows how disgraceful and rude they were and how much they don't care about their customers.

Beautiful shower doors, installed without hassle or aggravation. Can't ask for more. They held the doors for us for about 10 days because we were not ready for them quite as soon as they made so the turn-around was quick for custom doors. The doors were big, we turned a room into a shower basically, and they didn't ding anything up getting them into the house, up stairs and into the bathroom which I appreciated.

Don't use this company! We received a quote from them six months ago and now they are claiming the prices have gone up 30%! After doing some research on the glass industry this is not the case. As a company they can do whatever they want in terms of pricing but to lie about it is what really bothers me. Obviously there are enough people who are willing to pay above and beyond and waste their money but not I.

I was referred to Bel Pre Glass Works and couldn't be happier. From taking measurements to installing a large wall mirror in my master bath ~ the whole thing took 4 days and it's exactly what I wanted. Everyone was extremely prompt in setting everything up and getting the job done. I was very pleased with the service and wouldn't hesitate to use Bell Pre again, if needed and would recommend them to my family and friends.

Terrible customer service. I wish I had read the other recent reviews before I tried this vendor - they seem to consistently be rated negatively for customer service. I have a small project - I need 3 small, 8x12" oval pieces of mirror. Before the holidays I called and described my project, asked if they could complete a small job like that, and the female receptionist told me that it would be no problem but couldn't be completed in one visit.
I said that would be fine and that I would bring the project in to the store for measurement. Today I took off work and drove to their store during their work hours. Two receptionists were behind the desk - a man who was pleasant but not at all knowledgeable about the services or how to run their computer; and a woman who was rude - did not make eye contact with me, did not speak directly to meet, but whispered instructions to the man.
After sizing the pieces, selecting the correct thickness, etc. the man tried to use the computer to give me an estimate. As he struggled, the woman whispered to him that it had to be the "minimum" charge which was $80 for each of the 3 pieces. $240 for 3 pieces of mirror, 8x12 inches each! CLearly this shop is not set up for small projects but do you think that they could have told me that during my initial phone call and saved me a drive over?
Who thinks this was going to be a reasonable price to pay? Where is the adult supervision over these front desk people who are the face to the customer? In the past I have been a customer at Bel Pre for 2 shower stalls, a dining room table slab, and several table toppers, but I certainly won't be a customer in the future.

Most horrific customer service ever! I needed to speak to 4 employees and they were all awful. Glass shelves should be that difficult, right? Once shelf wasn't the right size--too big--wouldn't fit. Bel Pre insisted that it was cut "within industry tolerance" but would fix it at no charge. Really? No charge to fix your mistake? I had to use my vacation time in order to leave work early to drive to Rockville.
It takes an hour for me to get to Rockville. They required I drop it off during their lousy business hours. They required I drive another hour, and pick it up at their convenience. They refused to mail it to me. They refused to deliver it to me. Reluctantly, they offered to leave it outside for me to pick up after hours--but made sure I knew in no uncertain terms that they weren't responsible if it were stolen.
This offer was made only after I had to escalate my problem to someone higher up. But as you could guess--it wasn't there when I went to pick it up. Of all the things sitting in their parking lot, I guess the thieves wanted to steal that piece of glass which was waiting for me to drive an hour to pick up. Thankfully, I sensed that dealing with Bel Pre was going to be a disaster and had the better sense to order my cabinet door glass from Bendheim, who had amazing customer service and had the glass delivered to my door in two days, for less than HALF the cost Bel Pre quoted. And about the glass shelf? I ordered it from another local company. They left it outside for me to pick up. It fits perfectly.

Just pickup some glass I was getting cut. The guy giving me the order was extremely rude. Overall I find the customer service very poor. The products are great can't complain about that but the service you get is horrible. Even the girls that sit up front seems like they have a sticks shoved up their ass! Very unpleasant to work with.

I hired Bel Pre Glass Works to install my master bathroom shower enclosure and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I contacted 6 other custom glass companies before deciding to go with Bel Pre Glass Works. Their price is not the lowest, but they fabricate their own glass, which is a big selling point for me. They also came highly recommended by the contractor who remodeled our master bathroom.
Due to the size of my shower, I ended up selecting the frameless glass sliding shower enclosure with 1/2 thick glass. The end result looks amazing, I have attached some pictures of the shower. Peter Ross and his installation team were extremly professional and courteous. The entire experience was very pleasant. There were some installation issues and minor defect with the glass, they came back and resolved everything promptly.
Their customer service was above and beyond my expectation and it shows they really care about their customers and the quality of their work. I highly recommend Bel Pre Glass Works for your shower enclosure need. I also highly recommend getting the ShowerGuard for the glass, it's worth the extra cost.

We used a different glass supplier for an earlier bath job. This job drug out for several weeks, really, two months. One of the mirrors had to be sent back (it just didn't fit right). Later, the shower door needed an adjustment; he ignored our emails requesting what turned out to be, a five-minute fix. With house guests arriving in two weeks, Bel-Pre came in, did the estimate for our second bath, and installed mirrors and glass doors, all done perfectly, the first time.
And - get this - they made the adjustment to the shower installed by a competitor AND installed the lighting fixture (it went on top of the mirror). They cut one mirror to both accept the old medicine cabinet AND have the mirror wrap around an electrical outlet: very impressive. The installation crew was a pleasure to deal with, as well. Bel-Pre also delivered a glass bathroom counter, then were able to polish two edges when a late adjustment in size was required.
This counter was half the price of an earlier counter we ordered from NYC (which took 5 weeks to arrive). Yes, Bel-Pre may be a bit more expensive, but, we certainly got what we paid for. They have the facilities, workmen, and equipment right there at their site for producing a full range of glass products (many suppliers have send out everything except mirrors, which lengthens the delivery time considerably).

We had a wonderful experience with Bel Pre. We had them create and install a glass enclosure with a sliding door for a corner shower. They had the best pricing and very good customer service. There was a slight alignment issue after the install, but they responded quickly and fixed the issue within a week. I firmly believe a good test of customer service is how they respond after they already have your money. I'd use them again and plan to on my next project!
