In a recent encounter, I received poor customer service from Deborah, one of EDL's representatives. The first instance of poor customer service was when she asked for my address. I gave her my address, and she asked me to repeat it 3 times. By the 4th time, I began spelling it to ensure she documented it correctly. She interrupted my spelling and said, "I know how to spell it.
I just can't understand you." Her tone was not friendly. She seemed annoyed by me when I was only being patient with her and offered to help. My roommate and I were discussing our availability to schedule an appointment, and Deborah seemed bothered by it. Then when we asked her the price, she raised her voice in an aggressive manner. She may have mentioned the price previously while I was discussing with my roommate; however, we did not hear it.
Either way, her tone was uncalled for and her behavior was unprofessional. I'm writing this review simply because I believe customer service is extremely important, and would like to offer helpful feedback to this company and anyone considering their service. I will consider raising my rating depending on the labor service we receive. For now, I would say there needs to be better training at EDL when it comes to their customer service department.

My EDL experience offered an interesting dichotomy between superb service by the mechanics who actually come to the house and confusion in the administrative and scheduling process. It took four visits to get the job done; and, if I hadn't been there to interact directly with the tech, it's likely that he would have replaced the entire opener mechanism in the wrong garage. (LIke one of those stories where the surgeon operates on the healthy leg rather than the injuring limb.) All in all, I will continue to use EDL for their combination of great mechanics and fair pricing.

An installer at the gate of our community was at the call box dialing for entry. I passed him and I could see him flipping me off from the rear view mirror. I understand when service people have difficulty entering through the call box, as I do live here. I backed up and waved him on and said I'd open it for him and he shouted "Just Fn going NOW!" And double barrel flipped me off.
I would not trust a company who sends hostile vulgar individuals who harass residences of the communities they are working in. Employee conduct is a predictor of company integrity.

Lance is one of the best installers I've ever met. He worked very quietly and explained things very well whenever I asked anything. So happy I decided on EDL to install a new hurricane resistant garage door at my home. Very positive experience from the beginning. Fair estimate, accurate lead time quote, great follow-up and expert installers that were finished under their time quote. I can't say that but other experiences we're having during our house renovation.

EDL saved the day again. On a Friday when they were already fully booked, they promised to call me back if there was a cancelation. At 3:30pm I got a call from them saying that a technician was done with another job in Boca Raton and could head to Coral Springs right away if I wanted. As always they didn't disappoint. They keep their word, their technicians are super competent and the price very reasonable. James spent a couple of hours replacing the broken springs and adjusting everything.
The same old door is quieter now than 10 years ago. He was not in a rush and was very detailed. EDL originally installed my garage door over 20 years ago, and I needed service about 3 times, all very good experiences.

Outstanding Service rarely seen these days. I needed a door spring repaired, called late in the day, they had the part and were at my house by 10am as they said they would be. Fixed the door in 1 hour and the price was extremely reasonable. Tech was friendly. Awesome company from my experience I highly recommend! Thank you EDL for your assistance.

EDL technician Lance came out to service my three garage doors. Which require each motor to be replace. All three flaps sensors and pad locks plus oil all three doors. The job was not an easy one. Lance was very professional and knowledgeable. He advised me about the MyQ App. I definitely would recommend this devise. After all work was completed you wouldn't have know Lance was here for he is so neat and clean. Now my doors open smoothly you can't even here them when they open. Thank you Lance your service is second to none.
