Secret Screen

Wish I'd thought of this- it's a great product for a low price. I have installed a secret screen on our upstairs patio door for ventilation on warm nights. The screen is effective but after installation, are a few small gaps at the top and bottom due to the design I installed 2 simple rubber strip wipers-one at the top & one at the bottom- problem solved! An important note- the company stands by their product- I mis-measured my door width and the first screen was too narrow. Per their policy- no problem - they replaced the screen at no cost. WOW- what GREAT customer service! I highly recommend! Fred

I've been looking for months to find a screen that fits our freakishly tall (87") front door. Echoing another reviewer: "What an ingenious product!" I don't even know how I found these guys, but this was the answer from the heavens I needed. - VERY reasonable price - other solutions were 2-4x more expensive! - Keeps the bugs out but lets the breeze through - Blends in well when rolled up - Easy to install, although the pictures on the installation could definitely be clearer The screen has held up very well so far (despite a 6'2" ex-hockey player ramming into it, not realizing it was there), but my inclination is still to treat it with a gentle touch.

My only (mild) critique is on the colors available. I personally would love some other (wood) colored options for the pull-down hooks and valances. I have a cherry-colored and cherry-framed door, so the white hooks do stand out, and black is just a little too dark. I colored the hooks in with marker, but I'd order a better match if they ever increased selection. Customer service is excellent and pretty quick to respond. Overall, excellent product and company. Definitely recommend.

I don't know how you can say this a great product. I am changing my review as it seems Secret Screens has made an effort to solve my problem. Any product can have issues but it is the willingness of the company that provides that product to solve the problem that makes or breaks an organization. They have reached out and we may have an equitable solution.

Great product! Quality materials and simple design. Easy to install and use. I ordered the wrong width to begin with, their customer service fixed me right up. Fine product, great customer service.doesn't get better than that. Thanks.

Interesting approach to a screen door. you pull from the top of door and hook screen bar at bottom. I bough two screens for inconspicuous front doors. Installed in half an hour and family is impressed. You must buy the striped screens, they look great from inside and out. I live in Hawaii and have yet to see these here. I am first on my island of Hawaii.

I would recommend this innovated inexpensive easy to install door screen. On another note, first time my measure was wrong, my mistake, I paid to return 2 screens and they resent new correct screens at no additional shipping charge. Pretty cool company. Stacy Disney Kamuela, Hawaii

Ever since my dog chewed up all our outside door and window screens, I have been looking for a retractable screen that the dog won't destroy. Found many horizontal retracting screens that would require a handyman to install and were costing hundreds of $s. Finally came upon this vertical retracting on Amazon, and ordered it. Amazon selection is limited but go to the Secretscreen.com website and you will see they will customize your screen to your door width.

I saw that the Amazon product I got was a bit too narrow and I would need a 1 larger width. Wrote to SecretScreen and they were OK with me returning the uninstalled prodcut for an exchange. Got the product shipped and new one arrived within 10 days. The product design is great and even though mounting instructions and hardware for mounting it inside a door frame (within the jambs), I was able to adapt it to mount it outside a sliding patio door. The dog has tried to rush in with the screen down, but it withstood that attack. I should have got the striped version, which is more visible than the plain black.

We moved to an area that is very hot and has lots of mosquitoes so a screen was a must! We followed their simple directions of measuring our door frame and they cut the screen to size and sent it very quickly. The secret screen was a breeze to put up and fit perfectly. We had one minor issue with the color of the valance. Customer service was great.

I talked to Brett and he took great care of us in a super fast manner. They are a great company to do business with and I would order form them again anytime. Highly recommended.

Secret Screen is far better looking than those 'walk through' screens, and far easier to install than the horizontal screens. We put it in an entry way that is ceramic tile.and we were glad we did not have to drill holes in the tile. We have used it almost daily for months, with no signs of wear and tear. While visitors do not notice the hardware, when we show them the Secret Screen they are always very impressed. This is a great product at a very reasonable price.

I was looking into getting a retractable screen door and I found this store on eBay. Since it was local, I thought I would stop by the shop and see how the screen door works. Unlike other retractable screen doors which can cost $160+, Secret Screen was only $55, mind you that it is not like your standard retractable screen door. These retract up and down and hook on the bottom with the supplied hooks.

Very simple, easy to install and not bad looking either. If anybody, is looking for a cheaper alternative to a retractable screen door, this is what you want. You can either order online on their site or ebay or if your local, stop by the shop. John was more than helpful. Awesome customer service. Side note- I originally got the black screen but then too many people couldn't see the screen from inside the house, so I went back talked to John and exchanged it for the striped screen. Awesome stuff.
