My patio door was really old and had a second door installed in front of it, a strange arrangement. Kemp's team came in and within two hours, the old ugly doors were gone and I now have a beautiful new door! It just transforms the entire area! From the first consultation to the completion, it was a great experience, so professional! Service: General door installation

I recently had 6 new windows and a new front door installed at my home and I was very pleased with the installation and the professionalism of everyone that I dealt with at Kemp's Windows from the office staff Nicole, the installers and the owner Brett. All top notch and very attentive to making sure I was a satisfied customer.

We had storm doors installed by Kemp back in October. The doors were hard to fit and Kemp was really our last hope. Nicole was wonderful, helping us select a style and update our look. Because of COVID, there was a slight delay in delivering our doors but that was to be expected given everything that happened in 2020. Her boss came out and took very precise measurements and ordered our beautiful doors to fit!
The installer was great. Very knowledgeable and experienced. Friendly and accommodating. Everyone wore masks and gloves and took every precaution to keep us all healthy and safe. And they turned out beautifully. Exactly what we wanted and my husband is notoriously hard to please. When we're ready to do the front doors, we will be going back to Kemp!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH KEMP WINDOWS. I've spent months trying to have one balancer replaced after buying $3600.00 worth of windows and repairs. I am a small customer. When Brett Kemp told me they don't do lots of small orders I should have run. I've been told no less than 10 times by two different employees that my issue would be taken care of. I should have never done business with them. Brett, probably an entitled son or whatever, acted like he was doing me a favor giving a quote. It's been 18 months.

Poor installation, door handle was improperly installed and worker came next day to fix without notification or even acknowledgement of why he was there. When installed, workers were playing music loudly and disrupting the home. It was clear they did not know what they were doing by the length of the time it took for them to install the door, constantly referring to the instruction manual and for improperly installing the door handle.
Upon arrival, screen door was ripped and paint on storm door was damaged. When issues were stated above by owner, he did not receive feedback well (arguing about the clear issues wrong with the door and mistakes made by his installers) and was defensive and protective about payment being fulfilled even when the job was substandard when completed. As a new home owner, extremely disappointed with this business and the quality of service. Glad to be done with this business.

In 2007, I hired the husband of my coworker to remodel my home. I paid the person in advance every time until they stopped showing up. Among the many things he did, he had his crews installed a French door facing the east. During the rainy season, it leaked. It's a Jald-wen door. I called the manufacturer. They said it was only supposed to be installed where there was an overhang.
Through another coworker, I was recommended Kemp's Windows. Brett Kemp visited and gave the same exact feedback. "It's the wrong application, " he said, as I recalled. He was professional. In the last 13 years, I had employed Kemp's Windows to replace my numerous aluminum windows in our 1980s home 5 to 6 times. Even their price is often not the lowest among the bids I received, I decided to employ Kemp's Windows again and again after reflecting on past experience and the never-cut-corner approach I observed they have always employed on their projects.
On one occasion, Brett even advised against my proposal because he said it would cost me too much money and he did not think it would be worth the price --- even though it would simply be extra revenue to him had I gone ahead with it. That shows Brett's integrity as a business person and as a person. My personal experience is that when it comes to windows, sidings and doors, one should not skim on workmanship and materials because those are the gateways that guard your home against the elements out there.

We had 8 Windows a slider and a front screen door installed in October 2019. Installation was good but 2 of the screens for the windows were bent somewhere before they got installed. After several I mean several phone calls to kemp's to find out why they had not been installed (after we were told by installer it would be no more than 2 weeks ) 2 months later finally we got them installed.
Here is where I am very upset! We were to get a 900 something dollar Energy Trust Rebate back in 60 days after installation. Well it's now over 6 months later and after several phone calls to Kemp's and talks with owner who is the guy that Sold Us on His business when we could of gone with other bids I cannot get an answer still on where Our Money is!
They cannot even tell us if it has processed so they say. We can't call Energy Trust but they can and all we get from office girl is no one is Responding and she has told us this several times. I always thought good business was honesty. I just want answers is that too much to ask?

We just had a new door installed by Kemps Oh My! The transformation is awesome and we are so happy that we went with Kemp's instead of one of the big box stores. Patti, in the office, is so pleasant and knowledgeable to work with. The installer, Dave, is a very skilled craftsman and a perfectionist. We cold not be happier. Don't go anywhere but Kemp's!

My wife and I debated for several years about getting a patio door with internal blinds. Of course, we looked at the big box stores and researched Pella, Jeld Wen and other manufacturers. When the time came to replace our old patio doors we were referred to a local lumber company, but thought it would be a good idea to get a quote from a dedicated windows/door installer, as well. Kemp's came in with a very reasonable price for the door and due to their relationship with Milgard (an Oregon company, by the way) and their helpfulness, we had them do an on-site estimate to include labor.
The job estimate included resizing the door frame, installing wood trim, caulking, etc. The details were very clear and we decided to go with Kemp's with a job start in 9 weeks (Milgard makes the doors to order). The installer works for Kemp's, meaning he wasn't a subcontractor, and while the job took most of the day, the results were faultless. Cleanup was, too, and I did a very close inspection of the new framing, fit and finish and was very happy with the result. The door works perfectly, provides a lot of security and privacy, and looks great! Highly recommended!

When we finally decided to buy a, more secure, new front door we called Kemps's. Brett came out with all kinds of examples and endless combinations of choices. Along with his expert advice addressing our concern for a sturdy door without the side windows. We purchased a 36 inch Made in the USA Solid wood stained door with gorgeous windows across the top of the door and a peep hole!
Exactly what we wanted! Brett arranged for the contractor, who was excellent, knowledgeable and tidy! Once the door met with our approval it was installed in a day. We are planning on a few more door upgrades in the future and we will call Kemps's! They are great! Highly recommend! Thank you!

Brett was very good. He came out and looked at our skylights and helped us order a set. He was very responsive during the order portion, but was impossible to contact after that. He never called back when messages were left -- others in his office did. After that the issues came -- They installed them, but damaged the internal paint of the house. So I called them and they asked me to touch up the paint so I asked for a discount for having to clean up for them.
Ultimately they came out and touched up the damage. It took a couple weeks. A couple weeks later, one of the skylights started leaking. I called them and they mentioned that it probably wasn't them. We had just bought the house and the inspection hadn't brought up any leakage/water damage issues. So I pushed for them to send out a team to look at it.
Their only suggestion was to remove the window and reseat it. They sent out two people, but one of them couldn't get on our roof, so I had to go up and help their installer. When we removed the skylight, it was obvious that it had not been glued properly to begin with. We glued it and there is no longer a leak. Now I have a discolor ceiling due to water which will need to be repainted. I don't recommend them at all. Looking to replace more windows this coming year and will be using someone else.
