We've been building the finest and most secure storm/doors and window guards for over 44 years!. Mascotte Home Security began in 1974 as a small welding shop. Within a short time, the request for security doors and window guards increased and it became apparent there was a need, but not a lot available in the marketplace.
Homes in this country are primarily designed for privacy and shelter, not security; security has to be added. Starting with the big picture, we go step by step helping you decide what level meets your needs. Many doors (primary doors) which open inward, lots of windows and thin walls are what make our homes so vulnerable.
When choosing a design for the Craftsman Custom doors, the designs are cut-out inserts, allowing you to choose which panel you want for the top or bottom. You can pair up for a theme or mix up themes. With the inserts, there are two styles, what we call positive and negative. When you look at the designs on the screen, the gray you see is the background or the metal that has been cut away.

The more I see and hear what's happening in Portland with so many break-ins, senseless vandalism, and rapidly rising crime in general, the more I appreciate my Mascotte Security door. It's built like a tank but operates like a Mercedes. I get compliments on it's appearance regularly. The front door to my business went from being my most vulnerable point to my most secure point. I've heard about these doors on the Lars Larson radio show. I was interested in improving my home's security and gave them a call. The very next day they came out and measured and I met the owner Larry. He quickly went through all the options, we made our selection, and he crafted a custom steel door that feels solid like a vault door. Now my home really does feel like a castle.
No one is getting in. This door is so beautiful and so strong. I feel like I have a fortress now. It's awesome because it's a functioning screen door, so you can leave your door open and be totally safe. Luke the installer was meticulous. My wife and I could not be more happy with everything! UPDATE: It has been nearly 2 years since we have had our door put in and it still looks brand new. Everyone asks about this door.amazing. I just had my door installed. Mike and Luke were amazing. From start to finish 100% awesome. These doors are CUSTOM made to your home. My house is now a FORTRESS. What a great investment. Now we can answer the door and have an incredible barrier between our family and the world. The entire process took over a month to do because this company does everything right. Well worth the wait.
