Not happy with our experience, the installation process started smooth but when they installed the incorrect handle set it left a mark on the new door. We had to wait for a touchup kit, after touching the door up it just didn't look right. We had a tech come out, 2 weeks later, he tried to do a touch up and now I wished we never did the door. $4600 this is the result of our front door installation (see photo). Wouldn't recommended based on our experience.

Alexander Company is the best -- not only for doors and windows -- but the customer service and quality. I made an appointment for the initial contact and Walter showed up on time, took measurements within minutes, and showed appropriate catalogs taking into consideration what I wanted. He even saved me money by pointing out comparisons. He was honest as to how long it would take to build the door.

Their installation gentleman, Jose, is absolutely the best. He initially set up a wall tent to protect our house during the installation. He is meticulous and takes pride in his work. He's currently teaching a younger worker to be exact, careful, and enjoy the process. I noticed that Jose reviewed his work from gauging the size of trim needed to caulking.

He even adjusted the height of the peephole in the door to accommodate the steep stairs. He truly is a master. I'm so glad I went through Alexander Company to get exactly what I wanted. I mean I only buy a door once every 20 or 30 years and this one will last.

Jeff and team did an amazing job replacing our windows and two sliding doors. Our job required some 'extra' effort, which included bringing in scaffolding and removing exterior stucco to allow for new construction installation. Jeff did a great job communicating expectations around material delivery, costs etc. The new windows look great. I highly recommend Alexander Company and their team.

We had a wonderful experience. The team that came to replace the windows were polite, respectful and friendly. They took the time to clean up the area that they were working around. They also made sure that I was able to open/close the windows. I would recommend them to everybody that I know.

A somewhat belated review, but just wanted to comment on the great work that they did. I had to replace two windows in my home office room. They promptly sent out a rep to take a look and recommended the type of window that I needed. I also checked out the window at their showroom and decided to use them to replace the two windows after getting a cheaper quote from another vendor, but that vendor did not bother to come out because I had to replace at least 4 windows before they would come out. Installation was very fast and professional.

The crew (Numas and Jairo) was very careful in laying down coverings on all carpeted areas and even the desk and computers that are in my office. I am very satisfied with the workmanship and the quality of the window that was installed. While their prices may not be the cheapest, I think their quality of work and product are worth the price.

I didn't choose Alexander Company for my windows-- my HOA listed them as the highly recommended installer since they do nail-in installation rather than retrofit, but I'm so glad that we decided on them. Installation was super clean (they taped up plastic walls immediately outside their work area so the dust was very contained) and the work was neat and beautiful.

They even asked me if I had extra flooring because the old sliding door was wider than the new slider and there was a tiny little gap so they were going to add more flooring. Ron ended up doing a special trip to Home Depot to find t-molding (and luckily found one that matched) to fill in the gap on the floor because it would look better. The care that everyone took (thank you Ron, Carlos, and Jose!) showed in the end result and one of the city inspectors was raving about Alexander Company, how they always do impeccable work. The best part is that I haven't needed to on my heater at all since getting my new windows!

I would give 5 stars but for the delay from june to September to get the job done. I'm aware it could have been due to covid labor shortage and manufacturing delays. Once here though? The installers took two days. They were efficient, clean, meticulous and layed down paper to protect the hardwood floors. We ordered 6 windows and a sliding door, simonton vinyl beige. I was surprised how seamless the inside looked and happy about how the outside didn't have that wide ugly trim that is telltale of vinyl replacement. Bravo!

Walter and Mary Jane and their installation team did an awesome job. They provided a free onsite inspection, consultation in their showroom, offered a very reasonable pricing ($2700/to purchase and install two sliding large windows), permit filing and retrofitted two windows in 6hrs. I liked that they put plastic on the floors and over nearby furniture when they break the glass to prevent any damage and prepared the invoice/permit before they left.

We only asked they help reinstall the roller shades and pick up a frame that was left accidentally, and they arranged someone to address our issues right away. I'd prob just recommend the installers cover the window frame ledge since the wood/paint got scratched a bit but I would say that is very minor compared to other contractors I've seen that would do a poorer job. We could not be happier, thank you Alexander Company!

We wanted to replace most of the windows in our home and had received several recommendations from friends who had used the Alexander Company. We are so glad that we had listened to them. We had a great experience and are so happy with the final outcome Great customer service and fantastic employees. Did all the work as promised and then some. We've had leaky problems for years. The fixes have only been temporary. We called Alexander company to give a quote to replace our deck door, which we were sure was the root of our problem. Walter looked at the door, jamb, etc, and assured us our problem wasn't the door. He could have lied and charged us for a brand new door and we wouldn't have questioned it. Such a wonderful & professional company! They were quick & responsive on EVERYTHING. They safely wore masks, covered up my furniture & prepared everything they needed in their own company truck. I struggled for months with my HOA about this window because not a lot of people were willing to work on my window because it couldn't be retrofitted. Alexander Company were not only willing but they also provided me a fair estmate as well. Definitely recommend & will go to again if I ever decide to replace my doors!

I replaced three slider windows and one large sliding glass door (old aluminum vrs) with Simonton Daylight Max (door was Madeira). These allowed a greater amount of light to enter my dark unit than did other brands. I ask lots of questions, and Rich (salesman) was ever patient in answering them, sometimes more than once. Also, the Alexander Co show room is more accessible (hours, flexibility) than many, a big plus.

The installation team (Gerry et al) was careful of my interior space and did high quality work, inside and out. They were efficient, but not rushed -- they arrived on time. A bonus was that Alejandro, the stucco expert, was available the next day after installation to re-stucco the space around the new door (exterior). One reason I contacted the Alexander Co for an estimate was because of their high ratings.

I concur. Everyone, including office staff Trish and Mary, was a pleasure to work with. Cost was very reasonable and end result is evident in attached photos. I have only one before-after, but see for yourself.

Our experience with Alexander Company was fantastic. We first met with Walter a couple of times at their showroom in Burlingame. He patiently answered our questions and guided us to the best window for our needs without overselling a more expensive brand. He came to our house a couple of times to look and measure the windows and make further suggestions based on our house.

The crew that came out to do the work (Jose, Reynaldo, Jerry and Roberto) were prompt, courteous, neat and cleaned up very well after themselves. Their work was meticulous and we are really happy with the windows we chose and they way they look. I would highly recommend them and suggest you visit their showroom and take a look. When we are ready to replace our patio doors we will definitely check with them first.

They sent an un-vaccinated salesman to my house, who lied to me about it. When I informed the company that their salesperson was unvaccinated and had lied to me, they couldn't care less. Criminal.

We recently had 5 windows replaced in our home and the process was completely painless. Walter came out and took the measurements and discussed our options, and his team came out to do the installation. The guys that did the installation were very polite, cleaned up after themselves so that you wouldn't even have known they were there, and got the job done quickly.

There is definitely something to be said about having real pros in your home doing their work; they know what they are doing. The price was right in the range we were expecting to pay, too. We will definitely use them again when we need to replace windows in the future, and I happily recommend them.

Needing some replacement windows, I was referred to Alexander Co by my General Contractor and longtime friend. I called for a appointment to get recommendations and can't say enough about the estimator and project manager, Walter. If you have a difficult or challenging project, make sure that you asked for him. His recommendations were spot-on and I should have an estimate back within a day. The best part about this company is that they not only sell the windows but they have an in-house installation crew and stand behind their work.

From start to finish, the process for our new door was easy, efficient, and well-done. We got a quick response when we asked for an estimate, and although we had to tweak the estimate a bit, we were quickly able get what we needed. There was a delay in getting the door manufactured due to COVID (not the fault of Alexander Company), but when the door was available, it was installed within a couple days of delivery. The installation process was fast and professional, and the final result was excellent. This is the company we will be using again for door replacements.

This was the best information, price and service that I received to replace 3 existing windows in my home. They were helpful, clean and neat. I priced around and found they were by far the fullest service, with the best range of products for the best price.

We ordered a complete replacement of our windows as they were more than 35 yrs old and were in bad shape. I ordered a new entry door for my home. I tried one other company first, but they don't install their doors and I couldn't imagine trying to find someone to do it. So stopped by Alexander Co and spoke to Walter. I picked out a door, he came and measured and ordered it. Had to wait a bit for it to arrive, but it was installed two days ago and I love it.

Nice fit, no draft coming in and easy to open, close and lock/unlock. The deadbolt on my old door no longer lined up so wouldn't lock. This door was ordered "pre-hung" so it is a much better fit. The installers were great, they had some difficulty due to the age of my house (built in 1938) but got the job done and everything is perfect. They also did a good job leaning up.

I received a referral to Alexander Company. The owner came by and recommended four window replacements for the front of my home. He chose a style which would complement the architecture of my house. After the order arrived, his crew installed the windows and replaced previous damaged trim work- the trim was fabricated in my driveway and matched the existing trim in the room. The guys were professional and knowledgeable. No cleaned up needed on my part after they left. I would recommend this company. I truly received outstanding service.

I have used Alexander Glass previously to install 9 Anderson windows in my home. They did a great job! Recently due to covid I ordered 3 of the same Anderson Windows directly from Home Depot to take advantage of their sale. Savings at HD was great and the windows were delivered directly to my house from Anderson! I waited 12 weeks! I then called Alexander Glass and left a message for John to call me.

I waited a week, no response. I then called again. The person answering the phone was all set to do an appt until I said I already had the windows. Lots and lots of stupid excuses why they now could not do the job. I said I have the windows and you could measure them to confirm fit. Answer is No! She said they would check with John, nothing back. My conclusion is that Alexander wants a big markup on the material to add to the job price!

It's sad, they are installers not manufactures and are General Contractors too! So they should be willing to at least price the job I was very surprised at the non helpful attitude by the phone staff, not at all what I was expecting.

This is the third time I've used Alexander Company. Obviously, since I'm a repeat customer, I'm very satisfied with the products available, the professional installations, and the personalized customer service. Alexander Company is very professional and at the same time very customer friendly. The products they offer are high quality and their installations are trouble-free. Their prices are fair and competitive. I will return to them for more installations.

This is the second time I've used them for windows. They did an amazing job the first time and it was no different the second. Their consultant was very helpful, flexible and transparent. Worked with us to come up with various configurations and helped us think through various scenarios. The workers are fast and kept the job site clean and did quality work. Alexander Company came out and replaced two French doors with sliding glass doors and did a terrific, and easy for me, job. The estimator was responsive and got me back several iterations of a quote until we had what we wanted, the installers were polite, covid responsible, and did an impeccable job. They handled everything related to permitting, including having the approval emailed to them which allowed them to schedule the plaster replacement as soon as the work was approved. Easy for me and great doors for my house, we couldn't be happier!

Alexander Company were contracted to do two bedroom windows in my house. I was impressed that they were safety conscious. The crew wore their facial masks. They covered and sealed the main areas of the house and the bedrooms. After completion of the job, the foreman demonstrated how to operate the window, and asked if I had any questions. Overall, they were clean, conscientious, and did an excellent job!
