Better Built Door

Our garage door had issues in the past few years and we've called them three times to help us fix the issues. The owner is responsive and charged us reasonably - sometimes even at no cost! They're busy but very responsive. Def recommend them!

I had the spring of our garage door broken, called this company as they fixed it years ago. Jesse picked up the call and said he can come the next day. He called me about 30 minutes before arriving, came on time, did a quick look and started to fix it with his crew, Ricardo. They mentioned that if the spring is under 5-year old, it's still covered under warranty.

They really know what they're doing, went above and beyond. They lubricated moving parts, ensured that the door operate smoothly. I would use their service again if/when needed. We're happy with the services provided.

I had an accident my garage door, I bend it and the weather striping was gone. The door wasn't closing correctly but the garage door opener was still working. I called Chamberlain garage opener company and they gave me a list of repair company and Better Built Door LLC was among the list. I choose them because of the reviews and also of it's proximity of my home.

I got Jesse who said he will see at the door and gave me a quote. I thought, it will be expensive because the door was bend, the weather striping missing and it will take some time to repair. But Jesse said the door didn't to be changed, he undid the bending, he repaired the spring and put a new weather striping for a fair price. I recommend Better Built Door LLC for garage doors repair.

I just had their service for the first time to fix my garage wiring issues. They were so knowledgeable and kind! I was very happy and impressed with their work! As soon as they arrived, they started to trouble shooting and addressed the issue and took their time to make sure all the issues were taken care of. I totally recommend this company 100% and I will call them for any future garage door issues/ need!

Jesse has fixed my garage door several times over the course of the past 15+ years and each time is better than the last. Fantastic service, available on short notice, extremely reasonable prices (one time he didn't charge me at all - for a thing that was the fault of the original door installer - not him), super nice guy. Ricardo (who works for Jesse) is also terrific - I would give 10 stars if I could!

Jesse originally installed our garage doors in 2014. Since then, he has always been there to answer simple questions over the phone. Twice, we needed minor repairs which he fixed at very reasonable rates. Jesse works along with his son now and they both are very knowledgeable. A+++ service!

Great and very prompt service. Custom made doors came well packed and even better than we expected. They completed installation in just few hours paying great attention to detail. Ricardo took time to program all functions of door opener's including internet. They are professional service and great follow up program. Highly recommended.

On a Saturday morning our garage door decided not to open anymore, so my car was stuck inside. Called Jesse, he was here in less than 90 minutes, changed the spring and gave a 5 year warranty. All this for a very reasonable price. And he was very friendly:

This is the third repair that Jesse has done for us. He is always friendly, and provides an estimate before any work is done. There are never any surprises and the service always exceeds our expectations.

We've used Better Built Doors twice and have had outstanding experiences both times. A few years ago, we had a problem with our garage door not opening and closing properly. Jesse came out the next day and fixed our door in 10 minutes. And he didn't charge us a penny! Last week, the springs on your garage door broke on a Sunday morning. So we called another company, who came out and replaced the springs.

But now the door was bowing when we tried to close it. They told us that the door was damaged and needed to be replaced. A new door was going to cost us around $2000! So the next day, Jesse came out and told us that the door didn't need to be replaced. He told us that the springs the other company used were too strong and that we should ask them to come back and put different springs in.

And again he charged us nothing! I called the other company but they insisted they'd used the right springs and the only solution was to buy a new door. So we asked Jesse to replace to replace the *new* springs the other company had installed. He came out the next day, installed new smaller springs and also re-enforced our door. And it's working perfectly!

He also gave us a 5 year warranty. And we DON'T need to buy a new door! This is the ONLY company I trust to work on our garage door. And it's the only company that I would recommend. Thank you Jesse!

I ordered two garage doors and openers including installation. The owner came out to my house to talk about door styles and openers and gave excellent advice as I debated what to get. The install was completed a couple of weeks later because they buy ahead and have doors in stock as long as you're not looking for add-ones like frosted glass. In fact, when I asked about frosted glass, he discouraged it based on timing and price AND told me how to do it myself for $5.

The install went well. The only thing I didn't like was the lighting, and the owner came out to fix it at no charge. He checked everything out while he was there. Really had a great experience.

Professional. Reasonable. Trustworthy. Broken spring on my garage door was promptly fixed and when asked about other repairs, Jesse was honest about what was needed and not needed. He even made adjustments to the other door and programmed the remotes to use on both doors. Satisfied and impressed, thank you!

I called to make and appointment and they turned up within the 1-3pm time frame. Turned out one of the doors was not working due to sensor alignment. But the other one needed the spring replacing. They had the parts on them and replaced it and got the doors both working. They even serviced both whilst I was there. Very friendly and got the job done quickly.

I called and made an appointment on Monday with the owner Jesse. He said that he would be out yesterday, Thursday between 2-4pm. He also asked if I wanted to be put on a call list if he had something sooner open up which I thought was great. Well Thursday comes and he's a no show. I took off time from work to have him no show and no call. Thanks for wasting my time and money. I would absolutely not recommend Better Built Doors or Jesse.

They replaced my garage door about 9 months ago which failed a few days ago. The wire was completely tangled, and a few rollers were out of their rails. I called Better Built Door repeatedly but no one answered. Finally I chose another company to urgently fix the issue as the door was not closing anymore (and we had lot of valuable stuff in our garage).

The person who was fixing the door showed me many issues with the previous installation: rollers on the right, and the left did not match in configuration. Lot of bolts were misplaced and did not match the configuration on the corresponding side. Rails were definitely not straight and level, and to compensate that apparently Better Built Door had tightened each roller differently.

Overall I am convinced that the job quality was very poor, and chose another company for fixing it. What I liked last year was the fact that they were very responsive, and scheduled an earlier installation date, which did not last long due to the poor installation.

I'm very cautious about negative reviews. The owner of this place has a very bad attitude. My door was replaced last year in the summer, and it's now bent and can't be closed / opened fully under completely normal use. I gave them a call this morning and the owner sounded pissed over the phone without fully understanding the situation, saying the earliest they can do is end of next week, and if there's no issue with the spring they'll charge for it.

I gave them a second call and confirmed if they really couldn't schedule it earlier, and I hanged up a little bit earlier because I wish to call another service to get things fixed earlier, then the owner called back and yelled 'don't *fxxking* hang up on me'. It's very bad customer service plus the garage door they installed isn't of good quality. Avoid at all cost!

Jesse installed a new R12 door with insulated glass, jackshaft opener, and a high lift kit. I'm thrilled. Everything is working flawlessly! He arrived on time and answered several phone calls;I had a bunch of questions prior to signing on. His bid was +- $20 of other companies. I signed with Jesse because he seemed to love answering my questions and was extremely helpful. I have a Costco membership and did NOT sign with them, way too expensive.

Thank you to the fellow Yelp reviews, we were so grateful that we found this place! We were having difficulty with our garage door yesterday (17 year old house with a garage that isn't used very much since it is detached garage). My husband had opened it to take his bike out and it the garage door wouldn't close despite switching to manual and was askew.

He was running late for work and we needed to get someone asap to fix it. He called the first garage company that the previous owners of our house had used that we were ok but they said the earliest they could come out was in three days. Better Built Door managed to come out in four hours and fixed our door (it had jumped off the track among a host of other issues) and was quite reasonable given the last minute visit. I won't hesitate contacting them again to service our garage door.

These guys replaced an old spring that broke on one of my doors. They came out when they said they would, charged what they said they would. Did quality work. I had them install new garage door openers on my garage doors 6 years ago. They have worked flawlessly ever since. No issues. I have recommended them to friends. No issues.
