We could not be happier with our choice to have Grover Beach Door out to our house in Arroyo Grande. We first had Precision Door out for a quote and were told $1700 for a system that is only a couple years old. It felt very wrong as you can buy a brand new opener for $500 (w/ installation), so we called Grover Beach Door and ended up paying $160 for what was minimal repairs and 1 hour of work.

It turns out that Precision Door was telling us that things needed repair that obviously did not. We've since talked to several friends that have lived in the area for years (we moved here 6 years ago) and all of them said that Precision is known for nefarious business practices. So the net net, give Grover Beach Door a call and save yourself time and money.

I cannot recommend them enough. Came out same day and fixed the issue for under $200 after Precision claimed it was a $1400 fix! If I could give 10 stars I would.

I highly recommend Grover Beach Door. They are reliable and very trustworthy. After having a terrible experience with another garage door company that attempted to rip us off for $2000. The folks at Grover Beach Garage Door came to our house and provided a very professional service. We really appreciate how quick they got to our house and the very honest manner they do business.

My garage door opener had been sluggish and wasn't responding to my new car so I called a "service" in SLO to fix the problem with the remote which resulted in a salesman CHARGING ME to come out, grossly over-estimate the cost of solving the problem. I did some homework, called Grover Beach, talked to the real live person who had the skill and interest to FIX my problem came and did so at a small fraction of what the highly advertised company wanted. I am so glad I made the choice I did.

They were so easy to work with; replaced two old inoperative garage door openers w new quiet, safe ones that are so nice. They quoted me a reasonable price, scheduled it with me, called to confirm, and had it all done in short order. Great service, as always. Highly recommend.

I had to call numerous times before getting a call back. They have "repaired" our garage door 3 X's, but if you have to periodically return to fix it, is it fixed? Today they informed that someone would be here between 4:30-5 and no one arrived. I have not received a phone call.

We arrived at our beach house in the evening the day after Christmas to find the garage door would only go up about a foot and then close again. I determined the problem was a broken spring. The next morning I called and left a message. Within the hour the office called me back. She arranged to have the technician out about an hour later. Shawn showed up right on time and within 30 minutes he changed out the broken spring and serviced the door. We received prompt and friendly service and would highly recommend Grover Beach Door to anyone in need of garage door repair.

A long-time local company owned by Denise and Shawn Blethen, who took over the company from Denise's parents. Our old garage door wouldn't open and we thought it was time for a new opener. Shawn came out to put one in but found it was only an electrical issue. He fixed it and serviced the door and opener and even programmed new openers for us. Honest, hard-working, local people who you can trust to sell you the right product(s). Support local!

So glad I called Grover Beach Door. Shawn was very polite and knowledgeable. Unfortunately Shawn tried several things but my garage door opener was beyond repair, he was kind enough to put the door back on track and didn't charge me for his time. I will definitely be calling him to install our new opener when I get it.

Grover Beach Door is family business and with that comes with some great service and sometimes so lack of follow up, however the time to get back to me was fantastic and the end result was perfect! Shawn who does the installs is funny, personable and was very informative!

Called Grover Beach Door after receiving an outrageous quote for spring repair from another door company in the area. Shawn with Grover was timely, professional, and did a great job, plus tune up, for less than 1/2 the price quoted by Precision Door. Would definitely use them again. Great work!

First of all, Grover Beach door was she only place that called me back. I was a little nervous at first because I had never heard of this company before. When Sean showed up he was so kind and is a very hard worker. He replaced my old, loud and clunky system that was not working properly with a much quieter system. He was quick and did an awesome job. I needed to replace my garage door and the opener (my old door was misbehaving for a while and at last it gave up). We called few companies to get estimates. It took some of them a while to return our call, others to set up an appointment day. Grover Beach Door's Shawn was the only one who was prompt to respond and right away scheduled a date to come by and give an estimate.

Not only he gave the best estimate (we had couple other estimates already) but he also offered to come by the next day and fix my garage door (free of charge) so I can use the garage while waiting for the order to arrive. When the new doors arrived, he installed it without losing any time. The whole experience with Grover Beach Door was so enjoyable and I am so happy with the result -- Shawn has done a wonderful job and everything looks and works great. I highly recommend Shawn and his company. Great guy, great service, great prices.

Just had a new garage door opener put in and I'm very satisfied. Shawn was professional, efficient, and friendly. It took him about an hour to install the door opener, even though he faced a couple of challenges with my setup. (Light fixture was exactly where the door opener was supposed to go, old opener wiring was unusable.) I highly, recommend Grover Beach Door. They come prepared for anything, and they're honest.

We highly recommend Grover Beach Door. Our door would not close all the way & the cables unwound. It turned out that we had a broken spring! Shawn had new springs with him and was quick to replace the springs, adjust the chain & replace the keepers, leaving us with a perfectly working garage door. We had a great experience with Grover Beach Door. I called around and got about 5 quotes from different companies, including home improvement stores like Home Depot and Lowes. Grover Beach door was the cheapest and EASIEST to work with. Denise was quick to return my call and get me a quote unseen. Shawn came out later to give us a quote on the spot.

He brought his iPad and was able to show us the cost differences for certain windows and was honest with us about insulated vs basic doors. (don't pay a premium if your garage isn't insulated) The door came in and Shawn installed it all by himself. Of course, our garage floor isn't level, so he called the manufacturer to get a larger seal. It's been very easy to work with Grover Beach Door and I'll definitely call them again when we install a door on our next home.
