You can't go better than Putnam Windows. Our project included enlarging and replacing four windows and a patio door. The entire process was a delight from start to finish. Janet was always kind and responsive in her communications. When we needed to change the dates we had agreed on she was able to accommodate us. The work was done on time as planned. Tyler and the crew are professional and highly experienced and were punctual and efficient.

They worked in an organized and tidy manner and went above and beyond to protect the environment around them while working. The quality of the work is outstanding and the new windows completely transformed the space. Can't recommend this company enough.

Tyler and crew just installed 15 windows, series 800 in my 170 year old house. They were timely, neat, professional and knowledgeable. They took their time and made sure every window was perfect. The stuck to the schedule and did it with no delays. Extremely accommodating. Pricing was excellent. We can't believe the difference these windows have made in just a few hours with noise. We highly recommend them and a few months ago, I had my shower doors replace. Wow are they beautiful. Same crew, same neatness. Two thumbs up.

When my wife and I met with Tyler for the first time, we knew right away that this was the company we were going to work with. We live in a house built in 1850, which comes with its own set of challenges. Even after getting the old sunroom windows out and seeing the sheer amount of water damage to the infrastructure, Tyler was never fazed. Tyler at Putnam Windows has installed sliders, shower doors and several windows for our home in the Lake Peekskill area and we have been THRILLED with the results. Tyler is super efficient and everything is done to perfection--including the clean-up after the project. All of the window projects involved more than just window replacement (for ex., making openings wider, deeper, etc.), so there was some construction involved and everything has gone SEAMLESSLY.

If are in need of new windows or shower doors in the Philipstown area, do yourself a favor and hire Tyler. Tyler and his crew did a custom, new construction window replacement for my whole house in April 2021. The project included ~25 windows in total (can't remember the exact number, there were so many!), including 4-5 enlargements, four-panel glass patio door and a back door.

I got quotes from Pella and Renewal by Andersen before deciding on Putnam. Here's why I chose him for this massive project: 1) He is a skilled carpenter, not just a windows installer. He worked with me to achieve the look I wanted while guiding me on where to splurge and where to save money without sacrificing quality or aesthetics. 2) He is the business owner/installer, not a sales rep.

If he tells you XYZ can be done, XYZ can be done. 3) He is local and stands behind his work 100%. In fact, just two days after the installation, my husband broke a casement window by cranking it too far. I called Tyler and he came over that afternoon to fix it for free (even though it was our fault). Pricing wise, his quote was about 5-7% lower than the one I received from Pella and Andersen.

This is a professional family owned business. We love doing business with Tyler and Janet. Tyler is very professional and experienced and creatively worked with my vision. He got what we wanted to do and made it happen. He takes the design of your home seriously and is great to work with. From the initial consultation (I stopped by their store) to the final installation, these guys are great. Super friendly, transparent, and easy to work with. I have an old home and needed replacement windows. They got me exactly what I needed and never tried to upsell me. The installation was quick and painless. The work is seamlessly blended in with the rest of the house.

My wife and I had a positive experience working with Putnam Windows. We had a window removed, insulation and drywall installed in the interior opening, and matching wood installed over the exterior opening. We also had two window frames enlarged with new windows installed. The work was completed on time, on budget, and professionally. Working on a home renovation project can be stressful, but when you have the right team in place, it makes a big difference. Tyler made the initial consultation very easy, which was in contrast to our experience with a big box store.

The team, led by Phil the project manager, was very professional. Phil would take the time to explain things in a concise and thoughtful manner. Finally, we were impressed by how clean the guys were - they had installed floor-to-ceiling plastic sheets to prevent any dust from spreading throughout the house.
