We had $10,000 USD of garage doors installed on our house a couple years back. I trusted the technicians to do a proper job and hopefully they did. My issue is that I believe after speaking with CloPay my doors are out of balance in that the springs do not support / assist in opening the garage doors manully. I spoke with someone at OGD and they said I am out of warranty and a trip charge to repair the situation was necessary.
In hindsight I should have had the install techs demonstrate that the doors were properly balanced and then had them checked within the 1 year installation warranty. My bad. UPDATE- Owner took an active role and had a technician (Brad) come out to inspect the doors. Brad adjusted both doors and performed a few other maintenance items.

Below freezing January morning and as I was leaving for work.as the garage door lifted, I heard the loud thud of a tension spring breaking. I had been having intermittent issues for the past couple of months, so this was not a total surprise. I called Overhead Garage Doors mainly because I've had positive experiences with them in the past. They had availability that day.so booked an afternoon visit. Was given a 12p-5p window. Thankfully I work close, and the Overhead contact said they would send a text when 20-30 min. from my house.
Sure enough, about 30 minutes before arrival, I received a text, which included a photo of the technician. I meet the tech, he assessed the situation and provided a cost breakdown - was roughly $305 for replacement of one spring and $460 for both springs. It's $160 per spring, and $144 for an hour of labor. I chose to have both springs replaced. Also had the wheels replaced and lubed as well, which was another $100 - $10 per wheel. $6 for lube.
System is now working great, rolling smoothly and a bit more quiet. I recommend Overhead. Not sure if Overhead offers any discounts, forgot to look online or ask. Yeah, I may have been able to do on my own, but no way during freezing weather.plus I read one too many many 'do it youself' horror stories. The tech (Scott( was considerate and informative, he answered my questions and gave me a rundown of my 25+ year old ooener/system. I'm hoping to get 10+ problem free years!

Cable on my garage door snapped. My neighbor recommended I call. Steve was out the next day and was very upfront and honest. He was polite, professional, and gave me many options. I appreciated this is a family owned company. The call center was great. They were prompt and helped me right away with scheduling. I scheduled a repair and Nathan was my technician that came out.
He was super courteous, professional, very educated and helpful. He didn't nickel and dime us and actually cared. We were very satisfied with his workmanship, professionalism, and attitude. He did a great job and helped us to the extreme. We're very thankful and appreciative for this family owned business. Support family owned. You won't go wrong with this company. We are so pleased!

I would not recommend this company. We had a terrible experience and the customer service at this business is not professional. The customer is not their priority. Their priority is to make money and overcharge customers. It's about quantity and not quality. We felt like we got scammed. The customer service manager was unreasonable, was condescending, and rude.
I explained that we had replaced our overhead garage door less than 30 days ago. The safety sensors were not installed correctly upon installation. The same technician who came out for the second time admitted they were lose. The original installation wasn't completed correctly and I made they clear to the customer service manager. Before they dispatched the technician they didn't inform us we would be charge additional for this.
I was under the impression that they would honor this service. As most businesses would when the equipment is less than 30 days old. The customer service manager kept blaming us for hitting the sensors and insisted that we didn't understand our warranty. They insisted they were working with us by only charging us half for the service charge when literally the sensor just needed to be tighten up and wasn't originally installed properly.
I'm in the customer service industry and would never treat someone this way, especially a referred new customer. I will never use this company for garage door work again and caution future homeowners to beware.

We originally reached out to OGD to help adjust our old door, which they did very well. During the technicians visit, we inquired about replacing everything and decided to order a new door that day. The proactive and professional communication/systems was top notch with OGD. They sent a text and email the day of the install with the technician's name and photo. I would highly recommend OGD if you are looking to upgrade your door/opener.

I was extremely impressed with how fast they responded to my service call. Lucas from Overhead Garage Door was working in my garage in less than an hour after my call. He quickly identified the problem and did a complete inspection of both of our doors and gave me a few options. He quickly performed the work and fixed the problem. We are totally satisfied and definitely recommend them.

ONE YEAR WARRANTY ON SPRINGS-BEWARE! I write this review and give three stars solely based upon the warranty. We had a spring snap on our garage door so I called this company as we had a sticker above our garage door opener. We received a phone call at 7:10am the following day, which is extremely early, but that's fine, no big deal. They promptly scheduled someone to come out to fix our door. Again, this is extremely appreciated and I'm not knocking their customer service. However, before scheduling the appointment I asked what an estimate might be for the repair; I was given a quote with a "deal" to "keep us with the company".
If it weren't for the technician in the middle of his repairs asking what kind of springs we wanted/what were we quoted for and my husband asking what the warranty on the parts were, we would have been completely screwed for our money spent. This company only offers a ONE YEAR WARRANTY on the springs?! Usually the standard is 3-5 years. So I commend the technician for him telling us and feel horrible that he had to stop what he was doing.
But perhaps the person/people offering quotes should not only offer prices but be more open about the warranty. For $300 I'd expect to get longer than a one year warranty! Definitely not a good sign as to the type of parts they're putting in if that's the term of their warranty! We were able to find a company willing to do the job for $50 less and with a four year warranty! Bear this in mind if you decide to go with this company! Make sure to ask what their warranty is on their parts before proceeding with the repair(s)!
