Phil and the showroom staff were very helpful and there was no pressure. We had a French door installed and the workmanship was outstanding. They were on time neat, respectful. The work area was spotless when they left and the work was perfect. Could not be happier. Service: General door installation

We had a very positive experience with Windows and Doors. Phil took a took a substantial amount of time assisting us in our selection of a new front door. The installation was handled professionally and efficiently. We were so pleased that we are in the process of ordering shutters to coordinate with our new door. Susan in the office has been most helpful assisting us in this process.

Based on our experience ordering a large number of windows (Marvin and Arcadia), I can say the company is not run well, and we experienced serious issues with their integrity. Our project was during the pandemic (June-Dec 2020) when supply challenges and other issues on the home front were challenging. During a crisis one's true self shows in how they respond and treat people.
We had many vendors that delayed our project, particularly given supply pressures. Most were really good about sharing their challenges in an honest way, and we reciprocated with patience and understanding. Unfortunately, WDI was not this type of vendor. The owner was dishonest about placing our order when he said he would and then provided new timelines every week to cover up his mistakes.
It's possible some of the delay may have been out of this control-but given the number of errors he made (window color, glass type, metal type), it was hard to trust him. If he could admit to some of his mistakes it would have been easier to trust him on all the other issues he had during the project. It's possible he faced some unique challenge more severe than our other 10+ suppliers, but it seemed he is accustomed to operating with many errors. I wish the experience was different and wish anyone that works with WDI more success. For us it was a costly and painful mistake to work with them.

I love WDI! I highly recommend. We just installed remote screens on our deck and we could not be happier. This is a class act company. My job became more complicated during the installation and they made it all work beautifully. They were neat, friendly, and knowledgeable. Paul is a true craftsman. Class act company with integrity ---Best work ethic I've seen in 25+ years doing home improvement projects.

UPDATED REVIEW: We had the pleasure of Windows & Doors, Inc. to replace the windows in our condo. We needed wood, double-hung windows painted a specific color in order to adhere to the Historic Preservation Committee guidelines. We had a wonderful team for our window installation. Everyone we worked with from John with the initial estimation during our closing, to Shawn who walked us through the process and took measurements, to Pete, Ed, Ronnie, Ray and Ron were incredible and friendly.
The team worked efficiently and it was easy to tell they were very experienced in their craft. They put down protective coverings on the floors and over the furniture and left our condo neater than we had it when they arrived. Pete took the time to show me how the windows worked and the team listened to my questions and addressed any (minor) concerns I had before they headed out. And, I can't believe they worked through lunch.
It was a long day and they plowed through and worked diligently. Each of the guys was very polite and friendly. Though, of course, they were welcome to use the restroom, they each asked before they went in. They were incredibly organized, always having the next step ready and set up for the team to execute. In addition, they neatly bundled all of the debris so when the truck arrived on site to take it away, it was loaded in the truck 1,2,3.
I would absolutely recommend the Windows & Doors, Inc. team to anyone looking to replace or repair their windows. It was a pleasure working them! PRE-INSTALLATION REVIEW: I was referred to Windows and Doors by the owner of another unit in the Condo building where I'm buying. I'm currently under contract and in the home inspection negotiations phase of the purchase process.
The condo building where I'm buying is required to adhere to Jersey City's Historic Preservation Committee (HPC) standards and this made it a challenge to find the suitable window solution. That is, until I called Windows and Doors, Inc. I spoke with Phil at 8:30am and asked if there was any way someone could meet my fiance at 10:30am that same day.
We only had a small window of time in which we were allowed access to the unit to take measurements and secure estimates for the work we want completed. Phil let me know that while the team had an appointment that morning, he could squeeze in an appointment for us exactly when we were hoping they could meet us. Even with the very small amount of lead time, John H. and Shawn arrived on time and met my fiance to get the measurements.
They were very professional and courteous and let us know they would provide an estimate the following day. I received the estimate at 7:41am on the day they promised to deliver it; well under 24 hours from the time of measurement. I truly appreciate Window and Doors, Inc's responsiveness and look forward to working with them once we close on the condo.

Tom and team did an amazing job at guiding us through selection of a front door for our home. He thoughtfully considered our style, energy efficiency and budget. Installation was perfect, on time, and courteous. Finally, the increase in our home's energy efficiency was obvious over the winter and curb appeal has been noted many times by neighbors and walk-bys. We would highly recommend Tom and his team! So after an amazing initial installation of a beautiful front door, rear door, porch doors, basement windows, and a garage door, I'm absolutely dismayed and disappointed by Windows and Doors' follow up service. One of our door handles stopped working, so we scheduled a repair over a half week in advance. Not until the morning of the scheduled repair, my wife gets a call, telling her that the repair labor fee will be $150.00 if the part is not under warranty.
To Windows and Doors' credit, they apologized for the late communication, and in all honesty, I understand the reasoning behind such a policy. An hour later, the repairman showed up to our home without the correct tools (an allen key small enough for the door). Simple mistake, and it didn't take him long to get it and come back. Then, after the repair was done, the representative from Windows and Doors on the phone then explained that there would still be a labor fee of $150.00 even though the door was decided to be under warranty.
They only apologized for the miscommunication, and left my wife with a $150.00 bill. Very sad that they don't stand behind their products, and are deceptive with their customers who spend thousands with them. Needless to say, we will just be using a different repair person for our doors who is more straightforward in their communication if we are going to be charged anyway.
