Westchester Overhead Garage Door

I did not know what was wrong with my garage door's. I was prepared to replace the doors or the track system if necessary. The honesty of the technician shocked and pleased me. He told me the problem was simply that the people before him, by the way they were from the same company, had put in screws that were too short. He replaced the screws and all is well. The only disappointing fact was that the same company had put in the short screws originally and then I had to replace them and pay for the longer Screws and service.

Excellent service from start to finish. I had a garage door from 1948. Nuff said. This company is great and had just what I wanted. I have a brand new garage door, safe and insulated. They installed all new electronics and safety equipment. It took longer to get the door due to Covid and delivery from manufacturer, which they told me about. Once the door was sent to them, it was installed in a week.

No fuss no muss, all clean. The installer was terrific. And all for a price lower than the big box stores. They never followed through and I was told to try United Overhead. I should have gone to them ten years ago. Door is sleek, safe and Quiet. I didn't know it could BE like this! Thank you. Do not hesitate going to this company.

We decided to change our old garage door and were very pleased with United Door. Marco stopped by to give us an estimate and left a brochure of door styles and colors. When I wasn't sure if the brochure shows the true color, he was nice enough to stop by again with a sample. We immediately set up an appointment to get it done with a 2-3 week window for delivery.

The were right on and delivered and installed the door at the time promised. What an absolute please to do business with a company that offers a good product and reliable skilled technicians to install. Thanks Marco for making it so easy.

Parts are expensive (by half) and not much to look at. Worth considering if you need parts immediately and are nearby.

I bid out a completely new garage door for my apartment house in Yonkers, 8 years ago and United won the bid. Their price was fair, the workman arrived on time, installed the door, electric lift, infrared safety device, and two remotes. The door has worked flawlessly without the need for maintenance and repair and still looks new. I would use them again.

I had two garage doors and motors installed by this company about 10 years ago. I was in recent need of a repair. I'm happy to say the service was just as exceptional as the first time. After having some bad experiences in dealing with service companies - I have become extremely skeptical of who I give my business to. This company has been in business for years and I was beyond satisfied with their customer service, quick turn around time, and quality of their work. Highly recommend them and will be using them again should the need arise.

STAY AWAY. The customer service is terrible. It's like they don't want your business! I originally made an appointment with a sales rep for a Saturday morning. I went all the way up to Yonkers and sat and waited for 15 minutes before being told by the woman at the front desk that the sales rep was out meeting with a client on Long Island and would not be in until the afternoon.

So I left. About 30 minutes after my appointment was scheduled to begin, I received a call from the sales rep asking where I was. When I explained what happened, he said he did not have an appointment on Long Island and rudely accused me of being wrong, when in fact the woman at the front desk had screwed up. I really needed a garage door so a couple of weeks later, I called and asked if a sales rep could contact me to give me a quote.

I gave the woman who answered all of my information, including the town my home is in. She said someone would call me back. I never received a call back so I called to follow up again. The woman who answered asked what town my home is in and when I told her, she rudely said we don't take clients that far out on Long Island and tried to hang up.

I said I think you are thinking of a different town because I'm just outside of Queens, and anyway I've already spoken to a sales rep and someone else and they both knew my town and didn't say it was an issue. She rudely said she didn't make the rules and tried to hang up. When I mentioned the sales rep's name, she back tracked and rudely said call his cell phone -- even though I started the call asking if someone could help me because I can't seem to reach anyone.

She was literally the rudest person I have ever dealt with in my life. It's very strange. It's like they don't want your business even though I really need a garage door and have jumped through hoops to try to use them. I also think the woman who screwed up my initial appointment was the person I spoke to on the phone. So United Door, if you are reading this, she's really hurting your business.

Just had a service call today and it was great. The man showed up precisely on time, did the work quickly, efficiently and at a very fair price. He took the time to explain many features to me. I must say, we've used them often and they've always come through. I read the review from March of '16 and I suppose it might matter what service person shows up, but we've always had a very positive experience.

These guys do nice work! We had to replace the rubber on the bottom of our garage door and after checking around we called up United. They came in with a very fair quote and got the job done in no time at all. Their technician arrived a bit outside of the time frame we were originally told, but their office staff called up to let us know in advance so it wasn't an issue. Very pleased with this company.
