Romano Overhead Door

Here is my experience. My lifter (Romano Overhead Door) works fine. My remote opener in my car works fine. My keypad mounted on the garage door frame doesn't work. It has been checked out for battery, changing of codes, etc. Light comes on, no communication. I called a couple of years ago -- tech told me they no longer carry the parts for this unit.

He cleaned it, it worked for three weeks. Just called again to make sure I had no options, and was told that because of changes in technology, parts held in the warehouse would only go back ten years. My unit is 17 years old. If I want an exterior mounted remote to work (and perhaps in the future my car remote.), I need a complete lifter replacement.

At that time Romano Overhead Door made their own motors. No one else can work on them. I am pretty disgusted. I will not do business with them ever again. If you have one of their units are considering buying one, be sure to save your money for when the unit hits the 10-year mark. Beware

Extremely poor customer service. Never once contacted I after initial deposit of $750 was received. Quoted "will be installed within 5 weeks" but they delayed my garage door for months due to "supply shortage" which was never communicated to me. Had to call multiple times just to find out why my door hadn't been installed yet. Lady kept blaming COVID as the reason for all delays over the phone. Would be good to inform your customers instead of zero contact at all and making them chase you for answers.

Dear Owner, in reply to your below comment: I never asked for a "band aid solution" - I contacted professionals for a repair. Your technician advised - he could not perform the repair as the spare parts needed were no longer available. This is false. Spare parts are available. Maybe he should have checked before making this statement - Instead he wanted to sell me a new motor.

Which I declined. They left. I was not rude or disrespectful. Yet you accuse me of being bullying!? Why because I wrote this review? The only one who is using bullying tactics is you: you claim to have watched video footage recorded in your vehicle of me being rude to the technicians - liar - I was never rude plus the vehicle was parked in the street, what footage did you watch?

You demand I remove this review by today, threatening to report me to the ACCC. Everything I have written above is the truth and nothing but. Any reputable company would apologies for the misunderstanding and agree the technician should have not stated there are no spare parts without checking prior.

Wonderful experience! They were at my house within a half hour! The tech was great he had everything running and fixed in an hour! Absolutely recommend!

Super customer service. I called for an issue with my garage door and they said they could come out next day, then called back and said they could make it same day. The two guys who came out were very courteous, quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me two options. I decided on a new motor and they were able to install same day as well as program the openers for me. Overall fantastic experience

I called them since our garage door wouldn't open and they were very quick on coming over that same day that I called to repair the springs and came back within few days to replace keypad. Very nice caring people. Did a great job, would definitely highly recommend.

Romano overhead door was out today to replace our old door in Lunenburg for a new, lighter and smart garage door. (wifi with app) Very clean install and was super quick. Stop putting off getting yours. Just call John and you'll be as happy as we are.

John and his team are experts at their business. Most importantly John is a VERY caring individual who goes out of his way to make sure the job gets done right. He went WAY out of his way to help us in our situation. I highly, highly recommend this business.

I highly recommend Romano Overhead Door. They have installed new door/openers at both my businesses and home. Each time, I was surprised at how fast, quietly and efficiently the new doors operated. In spending the extra money we gained several options for configuring the garage door controls with a variety of technological devices. Highly recommend and infinitely qualified Romano Overhead Door. The crew who came to my house were very professional and extremely knowledgeable of doors, door openers and everything regarding the safe operation and maintenance of garage doors. I spent a few dollars more to have my garage doors reinforces and safety wires installed on the garage door springs.

They discovered the door springs were oversized for my doors. The prices quoted was the price that I paid for the satisfaction and peace of mind of a correct garage door repair. I will continue to do business with Romano Overhead Door and will always recommend them as honest, professional and knowledgeable. Thank You for a job well done.

Very helpful and professional. These are the only folks I talked to who tried to understand my problem rather than just sell me a new door. I got some parts for a quick fix to get me through the winter, and I will definitely hire them next year for a better fix.
