Barry and Peggy started this company over 40 years ago with the intention of being able to provide for their family. They didn't realize that their employees would become like family to them; and after 35 years of service they decided to retire and allow their son Dusty Georges to run the company. Here at Garage Door Specialists and All About Doors in Morganton, North Carolina, we really are a family owned and operated business and intend to always be that way!He started his career in 1990 working in Charlotte, NC at a family owned garage door business.

From my first phone call to inquire about availability, rates and timeline, Garage Door Specialists has been perfect to do business with. Today my new doors were installed by Chuck and Austin. They were efficient, prepared and patient. I asked quite a few questions about the current job and a future job. They took the time to take measurements and pictures and assured me they could do the second job.
Before each installation decision, they asked my opinion and proceeded as agreed. A phone call to Carley in the office and my remaining questions were answered. This area is lucky to have such a professional business taking care of our various door needs. I highly recommend Garage Door Specialists.

Chuck and Austin did a great job of installing a garage door for my basement. It was a hard job because they had to modify the opening to attach the door. They were both professional and courteous while they were on the job. If I have another need for my doors, I will definitely want them to perform the work.

The whole process of getting a new garage door and opener was great! They even got our door installed earlier than expected. The installers, Cori and Chuck, were very good. We contacted Garage Door Specialists believing one of our garage doors was going to need to be replaced. Jim Brogley, the installer, came by and was able to repair the door and did a preemptive repair on the other door. All contact with this company has been courteous and efficient. Tony came to my house and took measurements for ordering a new entry door. He was absolutely wonderful explaining to me all about the door I was ordering. He returned to install the door. It was another excellent experience. He removed my old door and casing and installed an absolutely beautiful new door!
