Our midcentury home had 9 huge single-pane windows and 3 equally huge but non-functioning sliding doors. The corner room was basically a hot-box, and the non-functioning sliding doors were an eyesore. Lonnie's team was able to replace all windows and two of the doors with low-e double-pane windows, and brought in a custom-made sliding door for the corner room.
His team also did some custom carpentry to match the existing trim work. Now the windows all have a consistent look, and the corner room stays cooler than I could have imagined! Super pleased with the results.

Needed to replace a dated and damaged gigantic oversized bathroom mirror. Reached out to a number of local businesses but super slow or no response from most places. Lonnie stood out by responding even when the store was closed. Got a competitive no fuss no frills quote on a Sunday, I decided to hire them on Monday, Lonnie got his installer to come out and take the measurements on Tuesday and then install the mirror first thing Wednesday.
The installers were awesome, suggested a couple of tweaks that worked out even better. Extremely responsive shop, excellent work and a no nonsense attitude. I'm surprised at some of the negative reviews here, I absolutely had a A+ experience with these guys.

I had some glass work complete at Lon's. The work was done fast and done correctly. Lonnie is honest and someone you can trust. He went out of way for me and kept the cost down. He was able to take care me right away. I am sure he will not disappoint you in anyway. He does quality work and craftsmanship. And very polite.

I have been trying to get windows replaced at my home in discovery Bay for the last few months and I've been getting the runaround by several companies. I was just about to settle with one that I wasn't happy with it all and my friend referred me to Lons Glass said he used to coach lawn in Little League years ago I made one phone call and the next day they were out measuring and today they are installing the glass. Unbelievable service and a very professional crew Thank you LONS.

I referred Lon's Glass to a customer of ours who we couldn't get to in a timely fashion and they came through with flying colors. They showed up on time and had the glass within a week. The job wasn't an easy one either. On occasion we have to refer our customers to other glass companies and I will make sure they get any of those in the future. My client couldn't be happier! Way to go fellow Glaziers!

Stay far away from this business. Should have checked reviews before hiring. My normal glass guy said 18 days. Went to Lon who promised 5 days. 5 days turned to 3 weeks. Many unreturned calls, promises not kept. Never use this company. For the last two weeks, he said the doors will be in tomorrow and then one day he said they would be in and I waited for him for an hour and no show. Now it's six weeks later and got the call today that the glass doors are in. Went back to Economy glass last week and the doors went in today.

I don't like to give bad reviews but boy did this one earn it. We went into Lon's Glass and actually spoke with Lon. Nice enough guy, we told him we wanted a large piece of glass to cover our dining room table. We brought in our template, told him how thick the glass should be. He told us it would be 1 to 2 weeks and it would be delivered to our house and installed and it would not be any problem.
We were so happy, we would have it before Thanksgiving. We called after our 2 weeks was up and Lon said the cutter lost our template. Another week went by and we called again. Lon said he would call the cutter to see if they found the template and give us a call back. A few days later my husband called and Lon said they found it and now it will be about 2 weeks to get our glass.
Again 2 weeks went by and no calls. My husband and I went into the shop to ask Lon face to face what is happening with our glass. There was a woman that was there who told us that there was not any glass order there and she would have Lon call us that night. Yep, you guessed it NO CALL! My husband called back the next day and Lon said I am really sorry to tell you this but the cutter has lost your template again. Now, I made this template and I am creative but I did not put feet and legs on it so it could run away at will.
Next I went down to the shop myself and asked the boy that was working there, which I am assuming was Lon's son or grandson, also nice enough, what the status of my glass was. The boy's response was I don't find any order for you here at all. I asked if the order was in the computer and could he look it up. They do all of their orders via paper he said.
I thanked him for what little he could help me with as he couldn't find anything. Once again a few days later we called, on speaker phone this time as I had to hear this unfulfilling answer we were going to get, Lon told us the cutter is once again looking for the template. We told Lon to call "the mysterious cutter" who has lost our template twice to leave it lost and cancel whatever paperwork our order was on as 2.5 months with absolutely NO communication from your company was terrible business.
We were very patient and wanted to give our local guy our job in order to support the local small shops. Lon said it could easily be done in 1 to 2 weeks. I guess when I make the next template I will have to make sure that Dobby the house elf does not attach feet and legs as it sure caused Lon and " the cutter " much trouble. Steer clear from this business! You will not get contacted and you will never see your job done. I would post photos but Oh Yeah I don't have any glass to take a photo of.

I got the run around too. The 2 out of 3 reviews dont seem to be accurate. I dropped off a template of acrylic and wanted it cut into 1/4 tempered glass. It sat there for a week before Loni said he would look at it at the end of the week. I had offered to pay for it when I dropped it off but they didnt want to take any money. Either they knew they werent going to work on it or it was my good luck. I am remodeling my home and want a number of custom pieces of glass, I wont be going back for anything to Lon's Glass & Mirrors Inc.

No show, no call. Crap customer service! I even called the morning of my appointment and he claimed to essentially be on the way. Four hours later I called the office and his staff said he was in the field. She said she's call his cell. No show. No call. I waited a full business day for him to call, apologize, and reschedule. Didn't happen.

I will NEVER do business with this company and will never recommend anyone to do business with this company solely because I could not get pass first base - the person answering the phone. The girl (because that is the way she acts) who answers the phone is the reason why the word RUDE is in existence. Lacking Customer Service skills is an understatement.
She is horrible. No manners, no etiquette, no nothing. To tell a customer who ask when can she expect a return phone call (this was the thrid call), only to be told when she can get to it. It's not so much of what she said, it was the way she said - with so much venum. Get rid of her and business will pick up. No thank you.

I contacted Lon's glass via 4-5 phone calls and several emails to schedule an estimate for a window repair. Over 7 days transpired and I spoke with Lonnie who made promises to schedule me on a specific day and did not call back. Unfortunately, poor communication and follow-up. I decided to take my business to another glass company and they responded immediately with several callbacks to confirm date/time and when driver was arriving. Lon's Glass was a referral and now he's off my referral list.

I contacted Lon's glass via phone to schedule an estimate for a large $20k project I was doing for my store (located in San Leandro) to be completed in 2 weeks. Long story short, I called and texted the guy for 7 straight days. each day he told me he would be able to come and meet up with me so we can go over measurements and finalize the project.
It was strange. I literally drove to the store and stayed there for 8-10 hours everyday to meet up. he would text me and say he will be on his way. and it got to the point I was texting him every hour asking if he was still going to make it. I DID THIS EVERYDAY THIS WEEK. He came out for the initial estimate.but left without taking measurements or leaving an estimate.days later, He kept telling me he could do it, and could get the parts in a day, and complete the project quickly. but it has been over a week and I haven't even gotten him to show up. even though he kept telling me he would even down to the last minute of each day.
He apologized today and said he had been understaffed/busy at the office. but I think he could have just been honest with me if he couldn't do the project and I would have just found another vendor and planned on taking the extra time to complete the project. But now I have wasted over a week on dealing with this business. I am disappointed with the service and will spend my money elsewhere.

This review is based on customer service. I called to have someone to come measure my front window I needed fixed asap. Called at opening and no one came til 4:40pm. Was told I would be called to give quote. Did not get call until the following week! Now take in mind the window is next to my door I missed work for 2 days because of it (single mom with a small child).
The day they came to measure and I did not get a call back I went and got a piece of glass cut and installed it myself. I will never bother trying to use their services very disappointed.

We have been using Lonnie exclusively for over the past 15 years. Having completed over 1,000 remodels ourselves we chose Lonnie because he is honest, trustworthy, hardworking and does amazing custom glass work. We can always count on him to do the job right and if there is ever a problem he is the first to make it right. I could not be happier with the customer service he gives. Worst customer service. Went there thrusday morning wanting new frame and glass doors for shower. Waiting up front while he answered 2 or 3 phone calls that came in while I was waiting. Finally came up front. Told him what we wanted, a price for frame and new glass doors and a price to place. He informed me he would call later that day to schedule an estimate for Friday.
No call no nothing. Moving on and using someone else. I was referred by a pretty well to do construction company that uses Lon's and refers often. I will be contacting OLSEN ###//////// contractors to let them know about Lon's service.

We had tough window job at our house. We live in a penthouse condo and our 4th floor window had a huge crack in it. The condo association agreed to pay for the replacement window since it is essentially a wall and not a functioning window, meaning you can't open or close it and it is 7+ feet up off of the 4th floor. Anyway, two of the nicest guys came out to assess the window situation and quickly realized they needed to rent a lift for the job.
The next part is where they lost a star. They said they could come back in a week with a lift but it was more like a few weeks later that they actually came back. The job was a hard one and they took their time, did a professional installation, and were very nice to have in and out of our home most of the day today. They were able to cut the enormous piece of oddly shaped glass on the sidewalk in front of our house and they did a phenomenal job cleaning up the pieces of glass and debris that rained down when they removed the old glass.
