Sharing what we emailed Specialty Siding / Associated Materials Please escalate. Another wasted time and attempt today May 31, 2022, the wrong size windows were brought in by the third time, this is a joke now, a remake order was written by the install crew again and who knows what is the outcome, will submit pictures of the crew taking measurements and a copy of the remake order, now I would need to escalate this issue outside your network since it has been a waste of time, the last two attempts we had to make a special arrangement to be home and that time was wasted as well.last two attempts were made in June 2021 and March 2022, really. Whoever is placing the order for the last three times needs to get this email or at least the history

Awesome Team! It started with Eric quoting the job and providing recommendations and detailed explanations on our options. And Debbie followed up on scheduling and payments. The installation team was very thorough and experienced. We had Hardie Plank Lap siding (Cedarmill) installed on both the first and second stories on the front facing walls of our house.

They did a great job removing the previous wood and stucco sections. They trimmed around our windows and stories like old school carpenters. We were so impressed by the meticulous work from all of the installers -- metal workers, carpenters, and siding hangers. We highly recommend Specialty Siding. They are a first class operation that follows through from the initial quote all the way to the final day cleanup. Two Thumbs way up!

If I could give them 10 stars I would. A wonderful experience working with them. We had the Ascend siding installed on our house and it looks like a new house. The person who installed it, James, is outstanding. His attention to detail and craftsmanship made all the difference. And he was a delight to work with. The entire team is wonderful including Eric on the sales team and Debbie in the office. Our house looks amazing All the neighbors are commenting about how wonderful it looks. Exceeded our expectations from start to finish! Eric arrived as scheduled, provided me details of the process, setting clear expectations. Next he walked the project with me explaining how the James Hardy siding products would look similar to the 50+ old siding however there would be subtle differences. I received a fair quote and once the lead test was completed the project was started the next day!

The crew was professional, meticulously organized, detail minded and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day! Our siding project finished on time, looks amazing and will surely last for decades to come.

Over the phone, Samantha was professional, courteous, and quick in scheduling an appointment for some window repair work. I contracted with Specialty Siding to remove old cedar shake and install James Hardie plank on my Newport Beach home. One, professional, friendly, and highly competent crew worked from day one to completion. They understand this product. Installation was perfect. They dealt with "challenging" neighbors very nicely. Scheduled to take three weeks. Finished in exactly three weeks. Debbie, Jack, Victor and the rest of the crew were top notch.

Beware this is what your edges will look like in the long run! Specialty Siding was not a help when it comes to warranty! This project was done many years ago and I think it's the workmanship that failed due to the edge location!

Samantha in the office was courteous and helpful in getting my window replacement scheduled promptly. Roger let me know when he was on his way and he and Mario did a great job on my window warranty replacement. My replacement windows look fantastic and I am a happy customer. About 5 years ago, we wanted to update the exterior of our home using Hardie cement siding. We were directed to Specialty Siding, and they got us a bid right away, and completed their work on time and on budget. The outcome could not have been better, and after 5 years it is still perfect. Thanks for making our house look fantastic!

Had Specialty Siding replace the fixed pane of a dual pane sliding door. Roger and Mario arrived on time, were fast, professional and friendly. The panel was a warranty replacement of an Alpine window and Samantha kept me well informed of the status of the receipt of the pane and the schedule for repair.

Roger was very professional and courteous I got a text from Roger and arranged for him to come out the same day. Roger even came in the evening to accommodate my working schedule. Work was clean and he was respectful of removing shoes in my home and ensuring no damage to my walls.

I received a call on Thursday to schedule installation for Friday morning. Roger their installer was right on time as scheduled starting the project off just like I hoped it would. Roger was courteous, respectful and a journeyman at his craft installing 6 panels making it look easy. I too am a installer in the Fire Protection Industry and recognize a professional when I see him. I will recommend Specialty Siding to all my neighbors and family. Thank you Roger!

Horrible customer service from the very beginning. As others have said, poking, prodding, emailing and calling to get them to communicate. Luckily, we figured this out right away and took our business elsewhere.

We had Speciality siding replace siding that had been on our home since House was built, 1951 Martin and his crew did a great job. New siding looks great a very professional job. Cleaned up and left area very clean My husband and I very pleased with the work

Five years ago we decided to add Hardie cement siding to our bungalow. We wanted durability and an authentic look. The sales staff and installers did exactly what they said, checked with me each step of the way and the results speak for themselves. The photo I posted shows the work after 5 years of wear. After substantial delays and continuously needing to follow up with this contractor to get the job done, they installed 4 new windows and left my window frames in complete disrepair. Although they promised to prime, sand, paint and restore the existing exterior window frames to match the remainder of my home, what they actually delivered was a rushed and sub-standard installation after getting paid. See for yourself the kind of workmanship they left behind and now they won't come back and make it right or even bother to respond to my many emails and phone messages.

Had some windows replaced under warranty by Roger. He showed up on time and swapped the windows out real quick. He did an awesome job and was real friendly.

I've called and called, sent emails, heck I even drove down to their location to schedule an estimate for Window replacement. They finally came out to my residence to do so, but never actually sent me a quote. It's clear, they don't want my business, which is fine, maybe I'm too small of a job. But why not be up front about it instead of wasting everyone's time (mine and theirs)? I'd be careful doing business with this company.

Excellent communication, craftsmanship and value. We had our old wood siding replace with Hardy board and are very pleased with their work and the product. The office called any time there was a question, change, or our input was needed.

Roger replaced our front window this afternoon and was very professional. He was on time, which is hard to find these days. Very respectful, removed shoes and everything!

I initially contracted with this company to replace 4 window panes and the exterior thin metal siding trim that originally surrounded each of those window frames. From the very beginning, I found myself constantly having to follow up with their office to make the initial inspections, provide the quote, schedule the work etc. Unfortunately, I stuck with them despite the issues because replacing the exterior metal siding surrounding the frames is not something most window replacement companies are equipped to handle.

Finally after 3 months and much prodding on my end, they sent their representative to perform the work. Immediately upon seeing the metal siding trim that they had been contracted to replace, the Specialty Siding representative started complaining about how useless these types of trims are and how much better it would be to remove the siding and replace the entire windows (rather than just the panes).

Of course, all this would cost substantially more than the original quote but I agreed since he assured me that this was the better long-term solution and that they would do a first rate job on the installation and especially on restoring and repainting the original wood window frames underneath the metal siding to match the other windows in the home. Further, the new rep sold me on the lifetime warranty that I would receive with the full replacement of the windows.

So instead of doing what we all initially agreed upon, the installer ordered new windows and told me they would be back in 2 weeks to finish the job. 6 weeks later, the windows finally arrive and the installer came back to finish the job. As you can see from the pictures, they did not deliver what they promised and somehow believed that this mickey mouse work would be acceptable.

I wasn't there on the day of the final install but when I came back to see the work, I immediately called them and sent them pictures and asked them repeatedly to fix the job. After multiple unanswered phone calls and emails over the past month, nothing has been done. They refuse to stand behind their work and the so-called lifetime warranty is worthless. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and grief and find yourself a professional company instead.

Roger came out and replaced our patio doors and window. He was prompt, congenial, knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail. He's a true professional. We're very satisfied with the job he did!

After 2 years of trying to get 8 windows replaced under warranty and after 3 different window companies trying to complete the job, I finally feel at ease today because now it is ALL COMPLETE. Specialty Sidings and Windows came to my rescue after the window manufacturer kept fumbling over the measurements and kept sending wrong windows time after time. Roger, who made 3 visits to my house was a professional, hard worker, provided excellent workmanship, and explained everything I needed to know about my windows. Thank you ROGER for coming out multiple times on a Saturday to meet my schedule. I can't thank you enough! From a happy customer from Oxnard!

Specialty Siding came to replace a window under warranty. We could not be more satisfied with the work done. Roger and Freddy arrived on time. They were courteous and friendly. The large window was replaced and they left no trace the of the work done. Everything was put back in place and cleaned up. Could not be more pleased. Thank You

Roger came to my house yesterday to install 2 Alpine Windows that are under warranty. He was kind enough to call me 30minutes in advance so I could work as long as I could. When we met he inspected the windows and removed the old ones and replaced the new ones in less than an hour. I was amazed how fast he completed the work. I asked him if he could inspect all of my windows and go over proper maintenance with me which he was glad to do.

In the process we found 4 more windows that needed to be replaced under warranty and he taught me how to perform caulking in the inside of the window. Roger, thank you for being a stand up guy. I truly appreciate your expertise and help in replacing my windows.

Reached out to specialty siding over two months ago, was given an email to contact and send plans to. Sent plans only to not hear from anyone for weeks. Called them back and was told they received plans and would get back to me, two more weeks goes by still don't hear anything. We call to make sure they have us on a schedule to take a look at project because it's a specialty item.

Two more weeks nobody calls or replies to our emails. We were very clear when we first contacted them that if they could not help us to let us know so we can search and find someone who can. Not a common courtesy call or email in 8 weeks. Very disappointed with Nick and this company. I have since found multiple contractors who are now in process of helping get this started.

My experience with Nick has been terrible and I'm glad they did this before project began because this would've been his way of communicating and that would've delayed our entire home project. Always a silver lining.

Mark and Roger are extremely courteous, professional and knowledgeable. They call before arriving, show up as expected, and complete their work in a timely manner. They further assist by documenting and submitting additional trouble tickets. They represent their company well.

Specialty Siding did a great job with our window replacement. Mark and Roger were punctual, very professional and completed all the work and some above and beyond our expectations. I would definitely recommend Specialty Siding to others looking for windows work.
