After an outrageous quote at the first shop I went here for a second opinion and they were way more affordable and actually explained to me what was wrong. These guys are great! I've used several repair shops in the east valley recently and this Sun Devil auto location was just awesome. I had some work done elsewhere on my truck that I wasn't comfortable with. I took it to Sun Devil for a full inspection. A repairman who has decades of experience driving trucks including diesels jumped in my truck and took a test drive with me in the passenger's seat. I'm a little new to driving trucks so he put my mind to rest by explaining the ride and handling characteristics, and suggested ways to improve the ride when not towing/hauling.
He dropped me off at work, then took my truck back and performed a full diagnostic check. They only found two very small things wrong with my truck, that I honestly haven't looked into more, yet. The parts they needed were no longer available cause my truck is kinda older, so they couldn't offer to do these small repairs. But they still gave me several good ideas on how to locate these parts myself, and said they would install the parts if I could find them.
Total cost for all this = $0.00. I'm going to be towing a lot and Sun Devil Auto gave me the assurance I need to tow with confidence. These guys seem really capable and honest - you need to give them a try. -Michael

The best thing about Sun Devil Auto is that I can trust them. Ryan always gives me the best deals & great service. I have had very negative experiences at the Ford dealership with their overpriced services. Sun Devil Auto always beats their prices & treats me like a VIP whenever I go there with a problem. I had a great customer experience. I needed brake pads and rotors, oil change, and there was a gas odor that needed troubleshooting. The way they talked to me and their professionalism made me feel comfortable. I think they are an honest shop. I'll explain why. I initially thought that the brakes only needed pads but they called to inform me that the rotors also needed to be replaced.
I asked several questions, partially because I have a hard time trusting auto shops. After they explained everything to me I felt like they were being straight with me. So they went ahead with that work. When they got to the gas odor they told me a crack was found on the tank. They called Honda to price the tank and Honda told them that it's fully covered by an extended warranty, but only if I took it to Honda.
So they put the tank back in and sent me on my way. They gave me a discount on the gas odor labor because they didn't fix it, since I would be taking it to Honda. I called Honda to schedule my free repair but I had a poor customer experience with them. They transferred me around and ultimately told me that it's actually not covered. I was quite frustrated.
I called Sun Devil back to explain the situation and they told me that they would do the repair and not charge for labor. So I took it back into Sun Devil. I told them I would be out of town for a few days. When I got back they were just finishing up the job and I picked it up a little later. It was Ryan at the front desk who worked with me mostly. He was great at communicating, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I'll be taking all of my vehicles there.

Front entrance was a bit confusing at first glance but it was very well labeled when I pulled in. Inside was clean neat and looked brand new, the staff and mechanics are very understanding and helpful even though they are always busy. Used the website coupon for a free AC check and the mechanic was super helpful letting me know everything that was wrong and what needed to be done or what was to be expected.
After an hour and half they told me they weren't 100% sure on a recommendation after checking my AC since they couldn't find a leak but my car was saying there was since it wasn't taking more than 15% of Freon. Anyways after all that they didn't charge me nothing since they couldn't fill up my Freon to "fully" test my AC even after 2 hours of work from a mechanic, so I decided to tip them for really helping me out. Service was EXCELLENT! They replaced the condenser in the air conditioner on my Ram 2500 and unfortunately had to deal with my warranty company which was a pain. George and Arthur were great at communicating the situation and got me on the road in a timely manner! I would definitely recommend and will use them myself for any future issues I may have.

Being new in town, it's hard to pick a shop for basic services. I'm somewhat familiar with Sun Devil, so I decided to give this location a try. I've taken my car to this Sun Devil location twice, once for an alignment and once for an oil change. They were affordable, reliable, and quick. They were also communicative and transparent. UPDATE TO REVIEW: After trying to contact the district manager all day yesterday Jeremy the Shop manager decides to reach out, he takes responsibility for all the non existent communication on their end and decides to give me $100 off, while thats all good I tried to explain that I needed them to work with me on the 2 different tires that they put on without consulting me.
His response: "NOPE! I have been perfectly kind and have taken a huge hit on this including a sensor that cost $300 that we had to replace that if you I wouldn't have caught you would've driven away and had a check engine light on!" I was super taken aback since previous conversation with Jeremey was pleasant and kind. this version of Jeremy was super rude, abrasive and to be honest VERY unprofessional.
First of all, this was the first time I had ever heard of said sensor needing to be replaced because again (no communication) and then he acts like I am supposed to be THANKING him and super grateful he what? did HIS JOB? I also made them take their 2 tires back and I'll be going to discount tire to get the 2 SAME ONES ON.can't wait for better customer service at this point needless to say ill be going to a different auto shop other then sun Devil chandler in the future and telling everyone else to do the same!

I absolutely love this establishment! They always take such good care of me. I bring all my vehicles to them (I have 4) along with now my children & their friends bring their vehicles here. As well as my sister and her husband. I trust them with my "babies" and that says a lot due to I've been the only one to ever work on them up until 2yrs ago. Anthony and his team are amazing. But my daughters car in for a check engine light and possible transmission failure. He went through the entire car, reviewed all of the diagnosis and found out that I did not need a new transmission. I had both my brakes on all 4 wheels and my AC repaired. They were not only quick but they were able to get me in without appointment. Online there was no availability, but they told me they'd squeeze me in and did. The pricing was fair and the service was great. I never felt that they were trying to sell me on something and genuine trying to just help me and let me know what should be taken care of and in what order of necessity. With this experience, I'll be going back with my other car. Definitely recommend this company and this location in particular.

I've been to this location twice now and I've attended other Sun Devil Autos in the past, all with pretty good experiences. This location has been my favorite because of how smooth it is ran and I haven't experienced any extra wait time with my scheduled appointments (both in waiting to get checked in and waiting for the service to be completed.)

Wow! I'm so impressed. By far the best automotive shop I have ever been to! Everyone needs to bring there cars here. Jermey one of the managers was so polite and had all the answers to my questions and help me in every way possible. Don't even get me started with the mechanic there Michael Garmon. I know his name cause I literally went up to him and shook his hand for doing such an amazing Job.
He was the most professional, polite, intelligent young man I have ever encountered with. The whole crew there was super nice and polite. 100 percent recommended this place :) Thanks guys so much for the peace of mind :)

Should have followed my first mind and went with the negative reviews. ALL OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE SPOT ON. They give you one price, call back and give another and then try to get you to use their financing. It's crazy how auto shops try to rip people off. Stay away. If ever there was a "to catch a lying mechanic predator" Chris Hansen would start here. I'm talking about I take my Ford Ranger, with a slipping transmission to them. They sell me on a thousand dollar tune up. Reassuring this will resolve the slippage. As I drove off, the transmission slipped. Oh and guess what! Right next to their general repair garage, there is another garage on site that is specific to TRANSMISSIONS.
If Jeramy wanted to take the high road that day, he would have said. "looks like we need to get this into our transmission garage and have it rebuilt." Unfortunately, Jeremy and his staff are thieves that belong in jail. Straight up. Fraud Schemes and Artifices, a felony. A federal offense. I hope you get caught. Native to AZ or not. You're a crooked "leader" with a crooked staff.

If your in a hurry and don't care then go to one of them quick places and get it done. If you like friendly and quality service then I suggest you try out Sun Devil Auto. Be sure you set you up an appointment and still be prepared to hang out for about an hour. Yes, that's how long I was there, so not your quick in and out solution. But, I was greeted nicely by a couple of helpful gentlemen, they told me everything I needed to know and they did tell me they would get it in there as soon as possible.
They had a lot of clipboards there so yeah when it came my cars turn they zipped it in there and changed the oil and inspected everything and zipped it back out. They told me everything they done and were super friendly. If you look on their website you might find a coupon, I did! And humm ok I'm gonna share this with you, I checked in yelp while I was there and oh my they had a coupon on here too, I saved another 5 bucks! Hey 5 bucks is 5 bucks, just saying. So call em, make an apt and run in there to see them awesome guys!

Nope! Took my car there to get my AC fixed and was told that I needed to fix leaks and replace the compressor for a total of 2,500+. I took it somewhere else and they told me that there was nothing wrong with the compressor and fixed it for 400 bucks. My AC is working perfectly now. How could that be? Just a word of advice and do your homework before taking their recommendations.
After my experience I started looking at other reviews and saw similar stories so won't be taking my business there ever again. UPDATE: more than a month now and my AC is working perfectly. Beware with these guys. I keep hearing about horror stories from them.

I have been to several of your valley locations and I have never had a bad experience at one! This goes to show that customers service is their priority! I was on a lunch break and stopping for a bite to eat when my car battery died so I walked across the lot to sun devil and not only did they go retrieve my car but they brought my keys over to me at my office (across the street from them) once they had swapped out the battery.and that is just 1 example! Please continue with the great service to guests and impeccable service on vehicles!

I got the response I thought I would get, this is an installation issue! They never gave me a warranty card but I do have the receipt for when it was installed. Check all their complaints an their responses to them, the company doesn't stand behind anything they do. Next step is to file a complaint with the BBB!

I normally don't post unless necessary. I made an appointment for oil change online. When I arrived, they didn't have any records of the appointment. I presented my confirmation and they still didn't honor it. I asked if they could squeeze my car in for service, they replied having 2 more appointments and were unable. As I was leaving I can see 5 service rows but only one being use. I figure they don't want my business, so let's take it some where else.
