Services
Meet with our in-house designer! With 30+ years of design experience, we can help guide your vision into reality. In the consultation we establish budgets, aesthetic goals, color preferences, installation details and the general workflow of your project. We are happy to look through references with you and always take your input sincerely. If you are inspired and ready to create with us, or intimidated and don't know where to begin, we can help.
The Seattle area is full of late 19th and early 20th century homes decorated with leaded glass windows. Over time the metals and putty in these windows can corrode or become brittle. The action of opening and closing a leaded glass window over many decades can also cause it to become fragile. Our artists can partially replace or fully rebuild a piece.
We stock sheet glass from architectural to hand blown antique, some of which are made right here in Seattle. Glass can be matched, tempered or cut-to-size for lighting fixtures, cabinet inserts or your project's needs. From instructional books to burnishing brushes, we have supplies to help you with your projects from start to finish.
Learn how to build your own stained glass window! Lead came is one of the most used styles in stained glass making, a method used for centuries in churches and residences across the world. Participants will learn to build their own leaded glass windows with instruction. Participants in this class will learn to cut glass, how to build, solder, and complete a stained glass piece by the end of the course.

We anticipated our stained glass art piece being completed around November/December, having already authorized the price and scope of work to be completed. In January, we received a call demanding money for the piece that hadn't been worked on yet. With the artist Michael no longer there, we wished to have only a piece that had been broken onsite to be replaced, per agreed upon in emails with SSG in October 2021.

The new owners refused unless we did the whole job, which we had to explain in detail to them several times again, thereby reinforcing our desire to take it elsewhere. After a month of in-person visits and emails relating to our piece of art, we noticed the owner had responded to *other* people's yelp reviews with *my* initial email to the company (before the ownership change?) including my phone number being listed in their response to other reviewers' comments.

We have the piece in our possession again (unrepaired), and have no interaction with SSG other than requesting my personal information be removed from their replies. 3 days ago, the SSG owners posted my phone number AGAIN. What has been a cherished store in Seattle for decades is now in the hands of rude people who dox their potential customers.

You can hardly imagine such a happiness when a window that was broken for two years was repaired. No imaginary cumbersome process, no expensive quotes, just a phone call and the pictures sent over as requested.

All communication was prompt, the gentleman that removed the window from our door was efficient and skilled. We had our new window back within one week - it looks great. Thanks so much!

We're in a challenge situation the just-purchased house several windows are serious compromised. They are replacement windows about 15-20 years old (per the previous owner), with wood frames & sashes, double-paned glass, with divided leaded lights. About a half dozen badly need attention. Most are casement type, one's double hung, and there's one fixed picture window.

They are a mess, with bad moisture and fogging. Our hope was and if possible, still is to have them addressed before our scheduled move in. When we call Seattle-Stained Glass, everything worked out. They can do every work, I needn't look for another guy to do the leaded window. Two gentlemen come to the house and worked 3 days, everything was incredibly nice and new. We can't even imagine that it is the same house. They did great job!

The broken window for two years finally made me decide to fix it in this extremely cold winter. Seattle stained glass did the repair within a week. It was an excellent job. I will get the other 3 windows repaired in spring.

Quirky little shop near UW, close to freeway. Really wish I could give it more stars, but when I went, no one was available to run the cash register and when the owner showed up, he changed the prices on what I had chosen to purchase, more than doubling the per square foot price. Really odd interaction.

New owners struggling to keep it going. Customer service almost non existent. I have had to struggle and cajole just to get some simple glass they had in stock. Hope it goes better for them. It's been a really good store.

They did a marvelous job with custom crafted stained glass windows for our home. The waiting list for their excellent craftsmanship is not short so you must be patient.

Seattle Stained Glass was great! Michael was patient, helpful, and offered great suggestions to guide us to what ended up being some great-looking leaded glass panels for our built in cabinets. They also finished the fabrication work much faster than we expected.
