We had a great experience with Arellano's Wood Windows. The building we live in was built in 1903 and our unit has curved turret window sashes. Rick and his crew explained the process and timelines to build the custom sashes and install them. They cleaned up after install and you couldn't tell they were here. The window sashes look like museum pieces.

We couldn't be happier. They're not cheap but for custom windows, they were reasonable. It really upgraded our unit. I would recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful wood windows.

I had Arellano make a door to match the other interior doors in my 1918 craftsman Edwardian. Perfect match, really nice vertical grain Douglas Fir. Saw some very nice complicated windows waiting to be picked up. These folks know what they are doing.

Our contractor recommend the shop, so we tried them out. They were prompt to come out (Rick, the owner's son). But then things went downhill rapidly from there. They backtracked on they type of window the would be able to install and on further probing on the details they sent a terse email that it may be better to "table the project because we seemed to have doubts." This was a project about changing three windows, so we are not talking about sending a rocket to the moon. It was not a positive experience, to say the least.

Quoted nearly half the cost of two local competitors, they also fixed my broken window within a few hours of my breakage. Ever was super friendly and quick, and helped recommend ways to save money. I feel good about giving my money to a family business. There was a bit of caulk remaining on the outside of the window that I won't be able to scrape off, but ultimately I can't complain for the quick turnaround.
