Very impressed with the company. Called on 06/08 after the hurricane came through and booked an appointment for 8:00 on 06/09. Repair came out on time, very cordial and repaired our door enough to get the car out of the garage. Knew his business, very professional and no issues Got ready to order a replacement door and things started going South. In order to match the color, would have to be ordered, which was ok. Wanted a deposit, and that was ok as well. However, could not tell me when the new door would be installed. Did say it should be in four weeks, but wouldn't promise it would be repaired in four weeks.
They wanted a deposit, but weren't willing to return the deposit if door wasn't completed in four weeks and I would find someone that could get me a door, without a restocking fee. Wanted me to put up my money, with no commitment from them. Could be 4 weeks, could also be 6, 8, 12 or more. But it shouldn't be longer than four weeks, but not willing to make a commitment and stand behind their commitment.
I would recommend their company for service, as the tech did an excellent job, arrived promptly and came up with a workable solution (even if the solution wasn't ideal). However, I would be wary of New or replacement service.

Our 16-year-old garage door opener finally called it quits. VGDR came out the next day--called them late in the day--and the tech spent over an hour trying to get it to work. We decided to go with a new one based on the cost of repair of the old unit--it would have new parts but still be old. In another hour we were all set. The tech then spent time trying to get our old remotes to work--not just once--he worked on it for quite a while. No joy but can't fault him for trying. With the veteran's discount, the cost was about half of what we expected. They are now on our home repair list of service providers
