Richard went to work for Kinco, a major Jacksonville-based window and door manufacturer, in 1979. Gates arrived at the same company shortly thereafter, in 1981.

Update: I agreed to purchase the door. I was told I would be contacted by John for final measurements. They never called me. Cody came out for a quote and was very friendly and professional. I was quoted a fair and comparable price. I plan to proceed with this company. I will update my review once installation is complete.

HomeRite windows and doors, did a horrible job in July of 2021 they came out to replace all the windows and in replacing the trim they bent it, beating off paint and making it so the trim never fit back leaving huge gaps. Living close to the ocean I'm sure that with the next hurricane it will be ripped right off. At first they said they would replace the trim and then there was silence. They were horrible at returning phone calls and messages. They lied over and over to us. Do not use these unprofessional people.

I reached out to HomeRite to replace double sliding glass doors in my Florida room. Shawn came out promptly to provide suggestions and a quote as well as recommending construction companies to to complete the necessary framing and modifications needed for the new doors. I was very impressed with Shawn's professionalism and assistance throughout the process and would definitely recommend HomeRite!

Shawn, When we chose HomeRite, you came highly recommended through a neighbor. Now that the work is completed, we can see first hand why you were so highly recommended. Replacing entire door frames and doors is not an easy task. Your installer Bill's attention to detail and desire for perfection exceeded our expectations. What was equally impressive was his productivity during the installation.

10/10 would recommend to a neighbor or a friend. The team at HomeRite is professional, responsive, and organized. Shawn is the sales rep that we communicated with: he was knowledgeable about the products that we needed and wanted, made the process easy to understand, and incredibly quick to respond (even during the holidays, work-life boundaries are great - he communicated with his office to make sure our questions were answered). Thanks, Shawn! Then, the fellow that installed the sliding door unit was also professional and knowledgeable; he explained how the lock works to prevent weathering the lock strip, when the caulk would be officially dry enough to paint over if needed, and was "in the know" about our order (what was en route) - which just adds credit to the company being organized. Thanks to the team at HomeRite, my family can enjoy our new glass sliding door at an affordable price!

The windows themselves took 8-9 weeks to come in but that's likely due to the pandemic plus they're manufactured out of state so it was expected. Otherwise, once the windows came in the installation was complete in roughly 5-6 hours and they dealt with a very old bay window with extensive wood rot. Everyone knows windows are expensive but they honestly were the best price for quality we could find in town. Highly recommend and will come back to finish the rest of the old windows.

I cannot speak more highly of the customer service Homerite provided. From the first phone call, they scheduled my estimate and communicated with me in a timely fashion. The representative arrived on time for the estimate and was very friendly, helpful, and professional. I scheduled the Installation right away and found that process to be equally efficient. The installer said he would arrive at 9am and he arrived right on time. He completed the job efficiently and the doors are beautiful. Highly recommend!

UPDATE: Home Rite has came by and fixed the windows. I am very satisfied with the service Rich has provided. The windows are better than ever. FIRST REVIEW:I am very disappointed with this service. I was trying to get some window parts repaired/replaced for a property at City Place. Mark agreed that he would be able to come out, but never showed. I'm not sure if he was just super busy.
But we really needed the windows fixed so I went to Window Rite to speak to somebody. Cody was nice enough to come out and take a look at the windows that day to get an estimate so that the parts could be ordered. I followed up with Mark the following Monday to ensure he received it, we agreed on a price and he said he would get the parts ordered.
About a week and a half later I followed up to see if the parts were received and I was given Rich's contact information because he was the one who mostly dealt with the repairs at City Place. I followed up with Rich and he said he would have to contact the office to see if the parts were delivered and that he would get back to me that day. I never heard back from Rich, I called again and I have not heard anything back.
I am very disappointed because I felt that they were all giving me a run around. I wanted to work with this specific business because I know they have repaired windows at City Place so I felt comfortable knowing they had experience with this building. Unfortunately, I will just have to take my business elsewhere.

While shopping around to replace ALL of the windows in our home we discovered that we just couldn't afford it no matter how hard HomeRite tried so it was suggested to do it in stages starting with the front of the house. This was beneficial 2 fold in that it not only improved our curb appeal but also had the biggest impact on our energy bill due to our house facing West where the evening sun generates most of the heat in the summer afternoons. Cody managed the job from start to finish ensuring we were pleased with selection, pricing, and installation.
We were so happy in fact that we called him back to replace the front door to really make the front of the house pop. We are looking forward to replacing the rest of the windows in the home once we secure the funds. Thanks again Cody!

I recently had glass replaced in my original aluminum frame window above my kitchen sink and am so happy I can finally see through my window again without all that fog I had before. They are a local small business and nice folks. I was satisfied with their service. They are busy so it took some time to order/install but I also told them I was not in a rush so they could prioritize other customers. I would definitely use them again.

Home Right windows & Doors is an ethical, honest company. I had a problem with my triple sliding door this morning. Was unable to close it and thought it would be a very costly repair. After calling several companies I got the name of this company. Joe got on the phone with me and after listening to me he asked for a few pictures. He called me back and and explained that I could easily fix the door.
I followed his instructions and my door is fixed. I was ready to pay any amount of money to get this done today as I did not want the door left open! Joe was so very helpful, took time out of his day to help a stranger on the phone. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of their services! So impressed

Home Rite did our windows several years back for us and they have held up very nicely. We are quite pleased with the good work that they did for us. Really made a huge difference with some humidity issues we were having in our home and they look great and were installed quickly but neat. No messy edges on the seals, and since I have OCD those caulking lines matter to me.
