You would think that they would be concerned when a quality product suffered from a poor install.

Great experience with a window install with Mike from Custom Built. Windows were even done earlier than projected date. Came out great. Had a slight issue with trim preference but they came back quickly to fix the issue without hesitation. Went with a quality window company as these windows were installed on a 1895 Victorian home

I wanted to give a long term review. Had a sliding custom 3 pane sliding door installed a year and half ago and it it's been holding up very well. The materials used and the installation are top notch quality. They did a great job on everything and the pricing was very reasonable and within our budget. If you're considering about having any window or door replacement done; please consider Custom Built. You will be supporting a local business and they have excellent customer service with competitive pricing.

This business discriminates. I am a FEMALE and tried to book an appointment. I was asked during scheduling if my HUSBAND would be there to make decisions for me. I replied I make decisions for myself and booked the appointment for a replacement window. A simple replacement window. I received a call 20 minutes later from the man due to come out telling me basically he needed my HUSBAND there to make the decisions because it would be complicated and I might not understand it all.

I told him I was fully capable of choosing a replacement window myself and my children were home. He argued with me to which I said deal w me or no one he said best of luck. I called back, asked for owner, received another call from another person assuring me it wasn't discrimination. No call from owner yet. Will call until I get one. Second caller did try to de escalate the situation and did say he heard the first caller. I have NEVER posted a negative review. All over a window.

Custom built installed 3 storm doors on my old home with odd dimensions. They came out great and help keep the cold out. Walter was very helpful through the whole process. We are considering windows as well. I would recommend custom built.

Met with Walt today for window replacement consultation. He was very nice and explained everything from how the windows are custom made to how they would be expertly installed. I never felt pressured as the price quotation is honored for one year. I was reassured by the warranty, the tremendous quality of the windows and thrilled that they are manufactured within a mile of my house! I'm truly happy with my choice to go with Custom Built! Will write again when installation begins.

I recently purchased a house that had one missing screen. I stopped in to order a new screen and worked with Chris. Since I didn't have the original one for them to use for measurements, he explained how to measure the window, which I did but wasn't 100% sure it was accurate because I had never done it. Chris stopped by after work to measure himself to make sure I got the correct size.

It was ready within a week, but unfortunately it was just slightly too small due to a mix up on their part. I called on a Friday afternoon, Chris immediately realized what happened and apologized. He had the new screen made, came to the house and put it in himself the very next day on a Saturday morning. Very impressed.

Worked with Mike on a fully custom Provia storm door. His patience and persistance with all the details resulted in a beautiful storm door to complement an old, refurbished wood door.

I have always worked with sales person Chris Jarvis for the last 15 years on multiple window / storm window projects at my home. Seems like there might be some other unscrupulous sales people in this organization, but Chris has always been a straight shooter with us. We've purchased over 20 windows from Custom Built - we've always been pleased with the quality of the workmanship and never felt pressured at all in the sales process. So weird to read these bad reviews!

Could not deliver and still waiting for my down payment to be returned. They wasted my time, took my money and now they don't call me back when I am only trying to get my money back. The salesman lied when he said everything was on schedule and the door will be installed by the date stated in the contract and he said he was at the factory and saw it being manufactured. 2 days before it was to be installed, I called to see why no one called to schedule the install and was told that the door was never scheduled to be manufactured and they don't know when it will so they are cancelling the contract and refunding my $1500 down payment.

This company is not professional and is disorganized. I do not recommend this company, as soon as they got my down payment, the communication stopped and getting updates was like pulling teeth. Also the sales process is all lies and a waste of your time, I feel foolish falling for it.

Just based on the sales process would not recommend. Looking for a quote for 20 windows, asked for an estimate, was told I can't get one if my wife is not also present. The guy actually tried to talk me into making sure she was there. Looking at other reviews, seems like my experience isn't unique.

I think their doors manufacturing and ascetics are fantastic! The sales process is thorough and professional. until you get to pricing. I felt like i was dealing with a used car salesman. First quoted outrageous price that is probably twice the true value. When you show interest in product but apprehension with pricing, BAM, they knock off about 20%!

But that price is a today until 5 pm price. Felt like i was buying a little old lady's car that only was used for church! Lol Finally, office rep calls 4-5 times a until you finally pick up. They mention a lower price and offer to set up another 20 minutes meeting with GM to "review" marketing discount opportunities! Seriously, i think the product is great. But the sales process is broken folks. Does not feel like a family business, feels like signing a contract w Donald Trump! Ya just know what your really getting.

The sales people are rude, and are nothing but liars. If I could get out of my contract before my windows were installed I would. They lie to get you to sign the paperwork and then don't follow through. My windows were supposed to be installed 12-3/1-3 for a time frame and I am scheduled after that now for install. This is after the sales guy thought I was an idiot and tried lying bout APR. Update they are installing the wrong window because the scumbag Joseph Silverman lies!

I have dealt with Custom Built since early 90's with my family home. As I have purchased other homes and purchased Windows, they have always improved on their product. I have on dealt with salesman Chris Jarvis. EXTREMELY knowledgeable and well versed on all available Windows on the market. The few window issues that I created have been dealt with very promptly. The biggest plus, besides quality product, is they're a local company and windows are made on the premises! I highly suggest them.

Hire these guys if you want windows to be crooked and leak. House of glass is a much better bet.
