I am in the market for replacing my windows. My cousin decided on Gerkin for his house. I waited to see his windows when they came in. He received them in February with a lot of scratches on the outer coating he upgraded to. He called the called the company he punches the windows from and they had the Gerkin Rep. Scott Jones come out. When Scott saw them he stated the scratches were unacceptable, this was in February.
After many calls to Scott Jones with no reply he sent an e-mail to the company he purchased from and with in 5 min he received a call from Scott Jones the rep. To schedule a time for today 5/5. I told my cousin even the best products have problems but I was going to come over to see how they resolve the problem. WhenI got there Scott was applying what looked to be NuFinish polish.
A few of the scratches may have faded a bit but still visible. When my cousin pointed out a bunch of the scratches Scott Jones replied do you expect me to do all the surface. This is when I realized Scott Jones didn't want to be there and really could care less. My cousin asked I waited since February and this is all you can do, Scott Jones answered this is it. Scott Jones then said if you dont want them send them back. Scott Jones then grabbed his stuff and left.
Here is my assessment, Scott Jones is very unprofessional and should be allowed to talk to people. Scott Jones attitude was appalling and Gerkin should be embarrassed that he is the face of their company. I always say you're only as good as your weakest link, and Scott Jones is Gerkin weakest link. I work with GCs and home owners all day every day and will definitely make everyone aware of Gerkins appalling customer service.

I wish I could give a zero star rating. These are Gerkin sliding windows in the bedrooms of our new house. We gave Gerkin the opportunity to fix this problem. A representative from Gerkin, Jesse, came and inspected the windows. He informed us that this is "acceptable " performance and nothing would be done. He didn't see the problem! We also have a similar problem with most of the double hung windows.
Air blows in and leaves dirt collecting on top of the bottom pane. He blamed that on contractor error during the installation process. So, in the end, we have a brand new home that needs all new windows. Do NOT install Gerkin windows!

Purchased a home built in 2002. Gerkin side slide windows throughout. Granted, this is an older home, but seriously.every single window is leaking air, the glass has pulled away from the metal sides, ALL of the locks are broken off, and the tracks are always filthy no matter how often we clean them. The functionality of side sliding windows is also horrible. Looking forward to getting all of these replaced with up/down windows from another company.

I have for vinyl sliders in my home built in 2004 and 14 windows. My sliders are the worst investment I have ever made. I have had the company out here two times. Air blows underneath them my tracks are always full of dirt. Seals have replaced still happening I would never ever use their vinyl sliders the windows are okay. If I had known about Window World with lifetime warranty I would have went with that company.

I purchased these windows and doors with threw my local Lumber yard and they reasurred that these windows were high quality. I had a stress fracture within the 1st month on one of the windows. Also the sliding glass door with blinds inside never worked because the magnets they used to pull up the blinds would stick and the blinds would drop. This situation has been going on since 08/19.
I can't get a response from the Gerkin sales representative. I thought they had there own people to do warranty work but they had a local outfit come replace the stress fracture just last week on 02/20. I was just informed that it would be another 2 weeks before they get to the sliding door fixed. Is this the way you guys Handle warranty work 6+ months out? A VERY disappointed customer on how all of this has been handled. Definitely NOT PURCHASING THESE WINDOWS AGAIN!

We ordered triple pane windows and received double pane windows. We contacted the store where we ordered them and were told Gerkin would correct their mistake. The technician from Gerkin came out to put the triple pane windows in and noted that they were not made correctly in the manufacturing process. Then he ended up breaking the glass and said he would have to try again after he orders new glass.
Another 3 week wait! We called the territory rep and said take the windows back or make us the correct windows. Gerkin will no longer take care of fixing the incorrect window. Calling the better business bureau as I feel like this is fraud that they won't give me the windows I paid for! Buyer beware!

Bought Door hardware from this company. Was charge 92.70 Canadian for a replacement part originally costing 21.63 US. Was told incorrect information with regards to shipping. Management at this particular company does not appear to care. Deal with at your own risk and definitely do not order from Canada or internationally. Find another supplier.
