We have been providing property owners with commercial garage door products and services in Northern California since 1986. Choose from a variety of commercial garage doors to fill any needs, including high speed doors, service doors, curtain doors, sectional doors, operators, fire doors, cooler doors, loading dock equipment and hollow metal doors.
Other than its most obvious use, commercial garage doors provide many other benefits and features. First and foremost, they are a protective barrier for your business. They also allow natural light into your business and can aid in ventilation. Our commercial garage door installation process is meant to be easy, quick, and done right the first time.
They are constructed in a 'box' shape, giving them exceptional wind-loading capabilities. Of course, in this day and age, Steel - Sectional commercial doors come in a wide variety of insulated and non-insulated models and gauges. They have a larger "open" footprint than a curtain or coiling door, but this can be diminished with high-lift track if conditions allow.
Available for virtually any condition, coiling doors are available both insulated and non-insulated. Where there are windy exposures, these doors can be provided to have higher operation capacities than with standard windlocks. If you want heavy-duty, coiling doors are for you. The Door Company offers a custom selection of roll-up counter doors, or counter shutters, for businesses. Used in cafeterias, pharmacies, kitchens, receptionist counters, announcing booths, and gymnasiums, counter shutters are available in primed and painted steel and stainless steel (R, N), as well as aluminum (N).

AWFUL EXPERIENCE! Here is a list of excuses provided for why I NEVER got a garage door that was ordered 5 months ago that was supposed to be installed in four weeks. Lost paperwork Didn't have time to scan paperwork I wasn't given your paperwork to place the order She doesn't work here anymore We are behind checking the truck due to Thanksgiving holiday I'm quarantined due to COVID Working from home (this used multiple times with 2 separate people) No employees to check shipping container Paperwork said it shipped (3 times) Don't know if it actually made the load It's back ordered again Won't know if your door is complete until your second one is unloaded It shipped damaged It was supposed to ship Factory information changes daily No delivery for a few weeks due to material shortage Checking with factory Out sick.trying to play catch up sorry Then after waiting 5 months they mailed me a refund check without notification of canceling my order. This is the most unprofessional and unethical company to get a door from! They have a store in Yuba City, and Chico and we attempted to work with both. Buyer beware.

I was told that it would be $75. The bill we received was $138.00. I called to question the bill and talked to Amy. She stated that there is a travel fee as we are in Corning and they are in Chico. I then told her that sadly I would have to leave a bad review as I was quoted one price and charged another. This seemed to not bother her as she then stated they have been in business since 1985 and they were the only door company around. I will never use them again, and I highly recommend using a different company.

The springs broke on my garage door. I left a phone message, after closing time, requesting a repair. They called back first thing the next morning and were able to schedule an appointment on the same day. I was given an arrival window of 11:00 - 1:00 and the technician was here right at 11:00. He replaced my springs and did a service on the rest of the door's parts and the automatic opener.
He was done in about 30 minutes. After he left, I called their office and paid via Discover card, although I could have paid the technician with cash or check or waited for an invoice to arrive via mail. I am pleased with how easy it was to get my door fixed. It was fast and friendly and I would definitely do business with them again.

Horrible customer service from Kyle "rep" - she first told me I'd get 2 weeks notice before they came to replace my door, then called the day before and left a message, "They'll be there tomorrow" which I couldn't do. So then she gave me 'attitude' and said the next available date would b 6 weeks later/Nov. 3. Then, no confirmation call, which I didn't expect, but since then, I've called and asked for a receipt and the warranty, as the installers (normal) said i would be getting, and she STILL has not sent me anything or called to let me know what the problem is. No one answers the phone when you call, so I don't know who to complain to about her - just unprofessional and BAD.

A garage door panel needed replacing at a rental property. I had not heard of the manufacturer before, Clopay, but its website identified The Door Company as a local authorized dealer. Although I had a favorable impression of their estimator, Jim, the Yuba City office proved to be disorganized in its scheduling, and when the repair was to be done the technician carried out the project in a hurried fashion.
It was only after he left that I realized an entire lag bolt had not been replaced, and, not surprisingly, soon after the door began to go off track. I discussed the issue with the Yuba City office manager and agreed to pay the original invoice but with the understanding they would redispatch a repairman in coordination with my tenant's schedule to correct the work.
After The Door Company finally got the door in working order they issued another invoice for $96 under the description of "serviced, lubricated & adjusted [door]." When I called into the Yuba City office their manager insisted the original work was not defective and the amount billed was properly owed. I have refused to pay, but, even after leaving a telephone message regarding the concern with the company president, Mark Stuenkel, I am continuing to receive past-due notices. I have also noted that Clopay no longer recognizes The Door Company as an authorized dealer.

I got my car in the garage at 4:00Pm, closed the door and the door spring broke. I called the Door Company right away and after a few questions they said Jason would be at my house at 8:30Am the next day. He was right on time. He was friendly and made no messes and knew what he was doing. Soon it was fixed and the whole door system was serviced. He did what he was sent to do and he didn't try to over sell me something that I didn't need. I think you can feel safe in using this company.

I called and told them what I needed, they said that they would send someone out for an estimate. I never heard back from anyone until about 2 weeks later Someone just showed up without calling ahead of time to give me an estimate. They took some measurements and said they would get back with me. That was 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard back from anyone. Complete waste of my time, really unprofessional company.

I bought a new house that had the garage door installed by The Door Company. There was a wire loose in the safety sensor causing the garage door not to close. I called The Door Company and they came out right away and fixed it. I got a bill in the mail for $75 for less than 5 minutes of work. I called and asked why this wasn't covered by the warranty.
I was told they only cover parts from the manufacturer's warranty not labor. Also, prior to that they didn't put the pin in the bolt that holds the garage door to the motor. The bolt fell out disconnecting the door to the motor, they are lucky it didn't kill someone or damage a vehicle. On top of that made me go pick up the pin for the bolt. I don't see the motivation to do quality work the first time.

'll never do business there again. They punished me severely for doing my own work. They charged me $300 for a pair of springs. That's what it would cost to have the job done by them. They freely acknowledge that they charged me an installed price just for the part. The door was broken and they were aware they had me over a barrel. I try hard to do business with local brick and mortars, but they taught me the error of my ways. Home Despot/Prime from here on out. TDC can KMA!

My garage door spring broke so I called The Door Company. I've had good experience with them in the past. Wow! They offered to come out immediately or the next day. I chose the next day to avoid emergency fees; but they were at my door at 8:30 a.m. Awesome customer service on the phone with Kyle. Job was completed quickly by Rich B. He was friendly and professional. Thanks!

Will Never use this company again! They gave an estimate of approx. $250 plus travel time. We are an hour out. Techs came, made adjustment on a the motor for our 14' door (no parts were repaired or replaced). Tech there for less than an hour and we Received a bill for $736. This door is on a garage on a residential property. We are not a company.
We are both retired. When we called for explanation since the bill was 3 times what we anticipated based on their estimate, they said because the door was 14' it's considered commercial despite being given this information upon our initial inquiry.

Highly recommend The Door Company for your garage door repairs. Our garage door broke on Saturday around 11:45am. After trying to diagnose the problem ourselves for half an hour, we realized it was a broken coil and called The Door Company. In less than an hour from the time we called, our garage door was repaired. Fast service, reliable, professional and efficient. Absolutely zero complaints here. Here at Blue Oak Property Management we use the Door Company for all our garage door repairs and maintenance. They are very responsive and timely in getting to a property and they will always provide us quotes before performing any repairs. They are helpful no matter how small the repair or projects are and show up to the property when scheduled.

Had them replace an oversized almost 20' wide garage door. lots of clutter in garage. I helped tech move items out of the way and helped install the door(I wasnt much help) Tech was great and the price(6+ years ago) was the best quote around. I will get a quote from them next time I need a new door.

About two years ago we bought a rental duplex in San Rafael that needed considerable landscape and structural upgrades including a new garage door. Through our contractor, we obtained a bid from the Door Co in Chico CA. They were happy to deliver and install a door in San Rafael since they provide coverage throughout northern CA. With their help, we found the door that would fit our 2-car garage.
It also had white color that fortuitously matched our color scheme. We also chose a quality motor and remote control system which is particularly important in a rental. Two installation techs came on the scheduled day and installed the door in a short time, taking away the old door at no charge. These guys had a great attitude and walked us through all aspects of operating the door.
The tenants were amazed with the silence of the motor and greatly appreciated the transformation the new door brought to the property. It has worked flawlessly now for 2 years. We are very happy customers!

I contacted the Door Co. by email and waited for a response for 2 weeks and none came. I emailed again and asked them if they ever check their emails. Waited another week and again no response. So against my better judgement I called and spoke to someone and she said Jesse was not in and that I can leave a message on his voicemail. So she transferred me and I left a detailed message on what I needed to have done.
I should have told the person on the phone how crappy the customer service was so far but I refrained. Well, I guess I should have said something to her because as of today, which is another 2 weeks gone by, no reply from Jesse! Geez, what does it take to give these guys my business. Incredibly bad customer service!

My contractor searched for a company to install a basic electric gate. Someone told him they did a good job so we hired them. The sales man came to the property and we discussed what was needed. The salesman sent my contractor the bid. It took weeks which we were told would happen then they installed the posts and the mounted keypad and the electric was hooked up.
It took another three weeks for them to come up and install the gate. They never called to say they were coming to install so I was not shown how the gate worked.then we discovered there was no way to get out of the property unless you had the clicker in your car. I called and complained that was ridiculous to have a gate that doesnt allow for people to get out.
The salesman was on vacation in mexico for two weeks and the owner was taking the calls. HE SHOULDNT.He has no people skills, is rude and aggressive. I couldnt believe the level of rudeness considering i hadnt paid him for the job. I finally had my contractor step in and deal with him and they arrange to have a wireless key pad to be on the inside.
My contractor had to sink the post as their price to do this was unreal. If I could have backed out of this I would have as the owner is a JERK, RUDE and a terrible business man. I will say that his installers Doug and Rich did an EXCELLENT JOB, were friendly and sympathetic to my position. Their design of the gate was spot on. To bad they work for such a jerk.

As my wife was leaving for work, the garage cable came off the pulley. The technician, Paul, was there within an hour and fixed it less than an hour. He was courteous, professional and very personal. It was a great experience and happy to continue future business with the Door Company. Thanks again.

EXPENSIVE AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.FOR REPAIRS Each service call is $75 ($150 weekends) and hour plus any parts. No answering service before or after weekend hours or on weekends. Office is supposed to open at 8am but often an answering service takes messages. For repairs be sure to check at least two other places for service call prices before using this company.

I waited over a year to post my review because some companies tend to forget about their customers after the initial purchase is made, however that was definitely not the case with The Door Comp any! If you need a garage door or gate this is the place to go! The sales team and the technicians are absolutely fantastic! Everyone knows their product and went out of their way to make this experience easy and delightful.
I was given a courtesy call after the install and when I didn't know how to program new codes they came out and taught me! I now have a beautiful garage door and new automatic gate for my home. What a great company!
