Do not use - Will not give you a timeframe for service. I was told they can't because the "contractors set their own schedules and we don't control them." Will not give a window of time either (4-hour window, etc). Just expect you to call that day to "get a time that contractor has set." Never showed up twice when I dealt with them before. No consideration for working people. All service companies at least give a window of time.

Where to begin! We have had several visits from them over the past several weeks to fix our primary garage door. They came out and said it was fixed. Yet an hour later it was broke again! We called for someone to come back out and said it would be a week! A week! Finally after a week no one showed up and then once we called, the receptionist said she never placed the appointment. She scheduled it then for another week. Someone finally showed up but they did not fix the situation. What a waste of money, time and a bunch of bull on their end.

Similar to a previous post, we called for them to come out and service a job that they installed several years ago. Two of the three openers in our garage barn spontaneously broke months apart (bars snapped in half actually). They refused to come out to examine/repair and said they are only doing new installs. I recommend staying away from a company that refuses to service their previous customers. Unacceptable

Do Not Use Them! I have been a long time customer of Jacobs Overhead Door. They have serviced my garage door off and on over the years. I had a major problem with my door over the weekend and called this morning to schedule a repair. They refused to come out. They said they were only servicing customers who had installed a door in the last year and needed warranty work. They also wouldn't recommend any other company in the area. I'm done with them. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone if this is how they treat their 20 + year customers.

Tried to have them repair a garage opener that they had installed previous to my buying this home. Was told they would only service those that had been installed within a year. They will not consider repair regardless of who installed. So be careful.you may get some help but if it's more than a year since install, you're out of luck with these guys. Guess they have too much business to repair an opener they installed. Won't ever see another bit of business from me.

Tried to get them to come repair a garage door opener they installed, and they refused. Will only service those installed within the year - no exceptions. Stay clear if you are looking for long-term service

I bought 6 overhead doors less than 2 years ago. A bad install on one of the doors just cost me $150.00 A decorative hinge cover was installed too close to the edge of the door making it rub against the wood. Even though these doors are out of warranty, that's just bad business charging to repair one of their own blatant mistakes. As an owner of a remodeling/construction company, I will not recommend them to any future clients. ***Update. Jacobs called shortly after my 1 star review was posted and refunded the service charge, for that I'm grateful.

Wonderful experience! Great customer service all around. From the scheduling to the labor, they were fantastic. The crew did a great job installing the new system. They were great about getting everything programmed for us and making sure that we knew how everything worked. Highly professional guys. Will most definitely be using them again in the future, as well as recommending this company to friends and family!

Jacobs installed the original door on our home 17 years ago. Sun and age finally caught up with the door so the bottom two panels started to crack. I called on Monday for a quote on a standard 16' door. The whole conversation took less than 15 minutes. Happy with the quote and pictures of the door on the manufacturer's web site, we scheduled a Thursday morning installation window.

The installation was very fast, less than 2 hrs. The crew made sure I was happy with the installation which included reconnection and travel adjustment of the existing opener. They did an excellent job on the install and clean up. To be honest this was my first garage door replacement so I don't have a prior experience to draw on but it was painless.

Jacobs did a great job on my repair! I recently called on Jacobs Overhead Door for repair work as my twenty year old system failed. I considered fixing it myself but decided to use Jacobs instead. The repair person arrived quickly, was very knowledgeable, and fixed it readily. But it turned out to be a complicated diagnosis and I would have never found the problem on my own. I was surprised that is was so hard to figure out and very happy that I had called Jacobs Overhead Door Co.

Had to have springs replaced on my garage door and i didn't know who to call, a friend told me about this company and i am so happy I called them. Everyone I spoke to was kind and very helpful. The man that replaced my springs was very polite and knew what he was doing and he was quick. Will use them again should i have anymore problems with my garage door. Awesome company.

Dave did an exemplary job We would certainly recommend. Their stewards were extremely competent, polished, and left us plenty of workspace. They were here the day of the crash and had our doors fixed within a week! Fantastic Jacobs Overhead Door Co. Thank you so much!

Yesterday morning my wife told me the garage door would not fully open and it had made a popping noise. Took a look and saw that one of the springs had broken. Told her I would take care of it and called Jacobs Overhead Door who installed and repaired the door in the past. I spoke with Maranda and explained the problem. Got her email and sent a couple of pictures. Maranda said she would find a way to work me into the schedule for the next day. Stated they would call me when they were on the way so I could go meet them. Mid morning the repairman called and said he would be there in 25 minutes.

I drove home to find he had just arrived. The repairman had all the tools and materials needed to make the repair and was finished in no time. Being the head of a service department, I understand how hard it is to meet the expectations of customers at all times. IN this case, Jacobs Overhead Door exceeded my expectations and I will continue to use them and recommend them to others. Great job!

Needed a new circuit board for my Liftmaster garage door opener. Took my old one in and told them that I needed a replacement. I made sure to take the old one in since they do not accept returns. I installed the new circuit board and my garage door worked again but the pin pad outside the garage and the clickers I had would not program. I did research on the unit he sold me and the circuit that he sold me was way older than the one that I originally had so the pin pad and clickers that I have are not compatible with the older model.

This is a garage door place it's not Sears so clearly they KNEW that they were giving me a older model and failed to tell me that I would have to purchase new clickers and a new pin pad. When I went back to tell them they sold me a older circuit board and failed to tell me that I would have to purchase new clickers and pin pads, they said they would give me one to try and if it worked I could purchase it for an additional $50.

This is the worst customer service I have ever received and would never ever recommend this place to anyone! I will drive 50 miles next time if I have to instead of driving to this place that is 2 miles down the road from my house. BEWARE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! They sold me outdated material for the same price that I could of gotten a new updated one for!

Horrible! Do not use Jacobs Overhead Door. Guy came out and said the garage door needed to be replaced. That was $95 for the service call, which I was told would go toward the actual repair. Guy comes back three weeks later to replace garage, and I do not see the credit on my invoice. Call the Horrible lady in the office, and she tells me they NEVER credit the customer the full service fee, only $25.

I tell her that the $25 was not credited according to my invoice which states garage door $169 and service fee $115. The rude lady tells me that the credit was already taken off of the garage door. If the credit was issued why doesn't your invoice reflect the credit. Lying, cheating business. STAY AWAY!

Horrible! We ordered a door for our new home and was told 2 weeks. 3 weeks go by NO ONE calls. We have to call them and was told another week. Still NO ONE calls after a week. Finally beginning of the next week comes and we got a call that our door has made it in and they will schedule for the next day. The next day comes and the technician shows up with the door but tells me they do not have our opener, that they have to order it!

We ordered the opener the same time we bought the door! Installer did the install A week goes by and we get a call the opener has made it in. They scheduled for today from 9am- 1pm. They want us there so can pay last Payment. I took off work to be at the house form 9-1, NO ONE shows up, NO ONE even calls! We call the office to be told now the technician will be at our home from 2:30-3pm!

I wait at the house until 3:20 and still NO ONE shows up and NO ONE even calls us! I had to leave at this point. Wasted over 6 hours already. I get a call from my painters that the garage door tech showed up but said he couldn't install it because we had stuff in the way. He didn't show up until 4:07pm! He says there 3 pallets of tile was in his way.

Which is crazy! It could have all been completed. Now their office is closed and can't get ahold of anyone so we have to wait yet again. I explained when we purchased the door from Jacobs that this was a time pressing matter as the home was just built and we needed th garage door to be dried in and could lock everything up. We have had no garage door for weeks and now that we do, we have to pick up the door which is heavy as heck and it has no way to lock the door. It's clear this company has NO respect for their customers.

We were a drive by and didn't research the company first. Come to find out they have a C with the BBB and bad reviews online. Do yourself a favor and choose a different garage door company.

Called for a quote as they had previously installed my garage door opener which was now broken. Was told it would be 95 just for the service call, in addition to whatever work was decided to be done. I told them what I thought the problem was because I saw where the unit was cracked. She said their warranty had run but I could call the manufacturer for a parts warranty.

I asked if they had the receipt so I could prove ownership and she said she didn't think the manufacturer would need it and would just send me the part. I disagreed having seen the manufacturers website. She said she would call me back with a quote on the part and cost for them to come out to replace it. She never called back.
