Shutter Hut

We absolutely LOVE our shutters and everyone who walks in the house immediately compliments. Shutter Hut was so professional, timely and kind to work with and we couldn't be happier. I would recommend to friends and family and already plan on using them again for my upstairs.

Love our new shutters. Only wish I knew in advance my kitchen faucet would not allow shutter on one side to open. Installation was a breeze & crew was great. Shutters arrived as predicted. Overall great experience. I would recommend this company.

Very Satisfied! While searching for window covering options we stopped in Shutter Hut in Volo, Illinois. We were greeted by Brooke, in the showroom, who was very knowledgeable and personable. Brooke discussed our many options and provided a rough cost estimate based on measurements we provided. The following week Shaun arrived at our home and took more precise measurements and discussed additional options and the installation process. Eights week later our shutters arrived and were installed by a very competent installation team. It was a pleasure working with Shutter Hut and we couldn't be happier with our new shutters.

I originally had Shutter Hut install Plantation shutters throughout my entire home 25 years ago and now we have moved and the only thing I wanted was the exact Plantation shutters from Shutter Hut! The look & working mechanism on the sliding door is absolutely beyond! My call to Shutter Hut started with a wonderful gal named Brook. She was very knowledgeable and polite and very helpful. She set up my appointment and Mike came out to give me an estimate. He was very efficient and in no time I had my free estimate. There was no pressure to buy but after seeing the product I was sure it was what I wanted. The shutters arrived within the time frame I was given and Mike came out to install them and they are beautiful. The installation was perfect and they really made my room look great. Michael from Shutter Hut was amazing on the whole process for us by providing an estimate for plantation shutters, doing the exact measures and being on-site for the install for our Naperville townhome. Hired Shutter Hut to install shutters in our family room. Shaun came and provided a free estimate. He was very knowledgeable and explained all available options. He went through the installation process and gave us a timeline for installation that was right on the money. The installer was very professional, took his time and did an outstanding job.

He made sure we understood how to operate and clean the shutters before leaving. Also left our home clean. I liked supporting a local family owned business. Their product is top notch and of very high quality. Would highly recommend to others, you won't be disappointed.

Sometimes it pays to procrastinate. I'm old enough to have gone through different window treatments over the years and after painting family room it was time to rip down those dated vertical blinds. I have always loved plantation shutters and thought could it be possible to have this on the sliding door? I remembered seeing the Shutterhut truck tooling around the neighborhood and passing their store occasionally so I thought doesn't hurt to try.

From the first phone call discussing what I was looking for all the way to install this process couldn't have been easier. Friendly honest family owned local company. Never did I feel pressured to buy or made to feel like I was wasting their time. Most told me it couldn't be done but they did! I'm doing a happy dance! Now I'm thinking about all the windows. Great quality, competitive price and excellent service. We researched over 10 companies, got quotes from 5 and ultimately chose Shutter Hut for overall value and quality product. Shawn and Mike, the owners, took great care of us from start to finish. Custom shutters take 6-8 weeks to build and ship. We waited the full 8 weeks to get the shutters, but were pleased at how well they fit and function.

They installed all the shutters well and walked us through how to care for them. Brooke in the office communicated promptly whenever we had questions and gave us great customer service. It's been a glorious four years since my wonderful experience with the Shutter Hut experts once I made the decision to have five living room windows done in white as well as the custom louvered panels I pull across the sliding door leading to the deck with a farm view. A deep commitment to resources and the patience to wait for the special door was worth every dollar and minute.

How beautiful in the morning when the louvers are closed and the light peeks through each slat or when they open on grey days and closed tight during the winter, keeping the wind out of my corner unit. I have waited for something to chip or maybe warp or something to happen but they are as perfect as the day they were installed by the professionals. Everyone who walks in for the first time is complimentary.my unit is small but the shutters are a wow. Thank you, Shutter Hut, expect many more beautiful years.

These guys are outstanding, plain and simple. Ok shutters aren't cheap no matter who you get a price from. These are VERY high end shutters with a great installation crew. This is a family owned company ( not a chain) and the owner was the one who came out and measured the shutters. No bs sales pitch or hard sell, just down to earth people. Shutter Hut was professional from beginning to end. We had multiple companies some out for quotes and Shutter Hut was hands down the most knowledgable and competitively priced for REAL wood shutters. Plus, they are a family owned business and the product is made in America (which was important to me). Installers were great and quick. Would highly recommend shutter hut to anyone.

Wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about this company. They previously installed two sets of shutters in our first home in the city and they turned out wonderfully. We recently moved north and just installed more than 15 sets of shutters in our new home and they look wonderful. The measuring process is so simple, and they have lots of recommendations for the size of the shutter depending on how large the window is.

We have very large windows and the shutters look beautiful! We have them on smaller windows too. Overall they are just a seamless look! And the paint color is matched to the trim which is perfect because we have a custom trim color. The install is fabulous. I did NOT have to ask for anything to be adjusted or aligned better -- they are installed perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

I love my new shutters. I can't believe I waited this long to call The Shutter Hut, I wish I would have done this years ago. They just complete my living room. Yesterday my shutters were installed and I haven't stopped smiling since! What a great experience from start to finish. Michael, the owner, was great to work with. Very professional and even came for the install. The installers were friendly, professional and no mess whatsoever and the quality is like none I have seen before. Shaun told us 6 weeks lead time. They were ready in 4-1/2 weeks and we scheduled installation for a week later. They "fit like a glove." The installer Tom was very efficient, courteous and neat for a 4 hour install, (5 rooms.) They look so good, we are thinking of doing the Great room now. We had a large window in our family room done with plantation shutters. We got a few different estimates and SH was comparable, but theirs was for actual wood! From start to finish Michael and Sean were top notch in the whole process. Always on time, explained everything well and lastly, the finished product is gorgeous and absolutely love it! Followed up with a hand written thank you note (nice touch)! Highly recommend and will use again!
