Amelia Overhead Doors

Amelia Overhead Doors installed the garage door back when the house was built. So it is at least 20 years old. I thought for sure they would try and tell us to replace everything and get a new door for $$$. There was a dent at the top and the cable on one side had completed snapped, and the lift motor itself is ancient. But I came home to a perfectly working garage door that they managed to repair. The best part is the price is affordable in our inflationary economy! So thankful for Amelia Overhead Doors!

I had a belt that broke on my twenty year old garage door opener and they came out the very next day to repair it. The technician adjusted the door and my wife was very happy. I have four garage doors and Amelia has installed and do all the maintenance. I have never been disappointed and their prices are very reasonable.

I was able to describe what happened to my door but really did not expect to have it fixed on my first visit. My appointment was for a window between 12-2. My super fix guy was there at 1203 and done by 1227. The cost was exactly in the range of what I expected to pay and what I had googled online. In my case, my spring broke on a Tuesday and I was able to have it fixed the next day. Oh yeah and during my lunch hour so no time off+++++!

The rep from Amelia Overhead Doors was on his game! He was there to fix a broken spring on one of our garage doors. He was able to make the repairs in no time! He was done in less than 30 minutes! He was very cordial. We are pleased with what he was able to accomplish!

We called Amelia Overhead Doors due to a garage door that needed to be repaired. I called and Stephen came out the next day to inspect. Based on the issues, he presented our options and replacement was the best choice. He walked me through our options and I decided to go with an insulated model. The price was fair and reasonable including the install.

He warned me that supply chain shortages could delay my selection which I was okay with. There was no pressure on any model or price range. Stephen made sure I was comfortable with the selection, price, and lead time. Although there was a delay, Diane at the office informed me of any changes to the schedule or arrival and was extremely friendly. When the door arrived, the install was the day before Thanksgiving.

The installers were professional, friendly, and helpful. They didn't finish until almost 7pm but at no time did they rush or reflect anything but professional and courteous service. The end result is a great door that was installed with care and expertise and keeps the weather out much better than the one it replaced. From start to finish, Amelia Overhead Door represents everything a customer could ask for. I highly recommend them!

The overhead door in the house we bought was badly misaligned, making it nearly impossible open. I noticed a sticker with Amelia Overhead Door's contact info on the inside of the door, so I gave them a quick call. They promptly sent out a tech to check the door. Not only did they fix the problem, they covered it under the previous owner's warranty. The technician was courteous and knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend them for installation of new overhead doors or maintenance/repair of existing doors.

My brother had contacted Amelia Overhead Doors to install a door at our country home, I didn't know anything about them. He gave me a time to be there and thats all. The installer was right on time, he was alone, I thought it would it would take two men. He removed the old door, installed the new door in no time. The installer was very knowledgeable and nice he told me the proper way to operate the door and did a very good job of cleaning up afterward. I highly recommend them.

Didn't work, but I was so thankful for their assistance I gladly called back. Set up an appointment, they showed up on time, charged a fair rate, educated me on the problem and future solutions and found them to be very professional. Contacted Amelia Overhead Doors via their website on Sunday. They responded with a text within one hour and contacted me by phone Monday morning. All I needed was a new door seal and preventive maintenance. Tim the technician arrived the next day at 10 and completed my service in an hour. The price was very reasonable and I would recommend them highly!

I almost feel guilty giving them one star. If it were up to me, I would take stars away from them. Not only are their technicians extremely unprofessional, rude and completely untrained in the field of customer service, but their doors are poorly manufactured. My inspector, from day one, said the door would fail. Amelia Overhead refuses to accept the fact that they may have a faulty door, and thus blames its failing on us.

The company representatives have no sense of accountability or responsibility. All they kept saying was "that's never happened before". As a responsible business, what they should have said is "while this has never happened before we apologize that it happened and will take care of it". It was almost as if I was dealing with a 5 year old who kept insisting that he did nothing wrong.

I urge any and everyone out there to be cautious and take your business elsewhere. Our door had some sort of manufacturers defect, and while that is not common, it did happen and they refused to hold themselves responsible. I urge all builders and prospective clients to take their business elsewhere.
