Midwest Builders, of Ankeny, Iowa was established in 1954 primarily as a garage building contractor. During the initial years, customers were requesting other work to be performed by our company. Clients were very happy with our outstanding work and timeliness in their construction projects, so we started doing siding, roofing, and remodeling projects out of the demand from past customers. Since that time, we have added many other types of construction, but not without thorough research and training in each of the fields.

Submitted a request for an online estimate. They picked one small part of what I was thinking and said they don't do that and couldn't be of help. Shocked me as I would think if they were actually interested in helping that they would have suggested possible alternatives. Needless to say I won't be seeking any work from them in the future.

I am writing this note to recommend the excellent services of Midwest Builders. Midwest Builders added a four-seasons room to my home this Spring. Neil came to my home in March 2019 and he was prompt, professional, well-dressed and my daughter and I liked and trusted him from the beginning. I had two other quotes, but I hired Midwest Builders on the spot! Neil was always available to answer any questions I had along the way.
He had insightful advice and did a great job of really listening to what I wanted. He guided me through every step and made the overwhelming process stress-free. We are very pleased with our sunroom. Wayne did a great job on it and was conscience of details. I deducted 1 start for late start (6 weeks turned into 12 before it was started) and lack of communication but once it was started, they stayed on it daily until it was done. Their subs were great too. Dave the sheet rock guy and his son were the best I've seen. I would recommend Midwest Builders. They are good people who hire good people and do good work.

When we decided it was time to do something about our vaulted living/dining room and kitchen ceiling we couldn't have been happier with the job that Midwest Builders did. The crew was professional, friendly and got down to work quickly with very little cleanup. The ceiling looks fantastic with new wood running between the beams and the cedar trim smells great! Good job guys!

Neil and the crew from Midwest builders built my three-car garage in the Summer of 2016. From the start we knew that Midwest builders was going to be different from all of the other contractors we had dealt with in the past. Neil was available by phone/email/text for any question that we might have with a VERY prompt reply. He was always accommodating and flexible with any additions or adjustments we made to our garage plans as we finalized those plans.
Once we had our final plans in place the garage went up in a flash. Everyone at Midwest Builders did a fantastic job. From the concrete crew, to the carpenters, roofers and gutter guys the process was easy and fast. Midwest was in and out in about 7 days. They were always polite and hard working. They cleaned up after themselves and left me with me with a fantastic garage.
We knew that between the price, service and the guarantee that Midwest puts on their work that Midwest builders was the choice for our project and we look forward to our next home improvement with Midwest builders.
