Kobyco Inc. was founded on the premise that building a new home, or remodeling a current one doesn't have to be a daunting task; and we are thoroughly dedicated to that statement. Our dedication began back in 1975, when a hard-headed second-year carpenter apprentice and his wife (Gary and Janice Kobylarz) recognized that there was plenty of room for improvement where home remodeling was concerned. Truly talented craftsmen were rare and hard to find; and most of the quality products were being snapped up by high-end developers.

I had Kobyco come out because I need to replace all the windows, not a small job nor an inexpensive one. After sending over the proposal, I knew there were going to be problems. First, he acted like my request to give a total - rather than 38 window prices individually - was so much work. Then, when I asked if they took American Express, I got a lecture about it. Sorry, but some folks actually use AmEx for large ticket items - especially since they were wanting $27k. Mike, the salesman, went on the tell me I basically wasted his time.
When I expressed my dismay and said I feel like I dodged a bullet, his reply was, "I agree." Wow. Thinking I could perhaps call and talk with the manager, Gary, was a mistake. I again got the lecture of them being in business for 38 years, yada yada. No one ever asked for AmEx, no one ever had a problem with Mike. Bottom line, I don't like being insulted when I'm simply trying to give someone nearly 30 grand.

Purchase (7) windows, for a total of $7,600.00, I thought the price was high (it was the highest of the three estimates) but was sold on the quality of the windows and the touted superior customer service. They were installed and a week later the crank on the kitchen window came off, I scheduled someone from Kobyco to fix it. On the day someone from Kobyco was to come out to fix it, they had a medical emergency, and wanted to reschedule four weeks later, which is totally unacceptable.
I would have understood a delay of a day or two, even a week but nearly a month was unacceptable. I had them rescheduled for the next week after much gamesmanship, and they tried to delay me again, only I insisted and persisted. Kobyco eventually showed up at 7:15 p.m in he evening which was extremely inconvenient and late, considering they were supposed to be here at 1:00 p.m. my advise is the service is subpart, and as for the windows aside from the crank coming off the kitchen window all has been good.

The staff are very friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. The staff are not pushy for the sale and give you plenty of time to make a decision on their products. Did a great job on our new windows for our home. The workers were very kind to come on the weekend and were very professional.

I have had nothing but great experiences with Kobyco. I had them do my home 10 years ago and I was very satisfied. They just completed another project for me and I couldn't be happier. The installers are very professional and courteous, especially Bill and his crew. A locally owned company with longtime experienced crews means you get quality.
