Select Windows

Do not use. I have used them for two projects, but never again. The office in Los Altos is dark and dingy and looks like a time capsule from the 1980s which for a window company foreshadowed the problems to come. I replaced 3 sliding glass doors and then replaced a window box. Like other people have said, they don't respond to voicemail or email which is just bizarre.

After you give someone a lot of money, you want a company that will stand behind their work. After those two projects, they gave me a quote to replace the remaining windows in my house, but they've lost that job now. Regarding my 2 projects, there were a couple of small install problems, like weather stripping that was installed incorrectly and leaked and also some gaps in the joints in the window box that were not watertight causing swelling and buckling in the wood.

They told me they don't even have a person I could hire to fix the weather stripping. Imagine that, you're a local window company and you can't refer your customers to a contractor or a handyman. Apparently, a partner quit and now no one has a contractor's license.

We needed window hardware for our Simpson windows. Our contractor had lost all the window hardware and David took the time to understand what we needed. He ordered them and then left the package out when we picked it up, ensuring social distancing. Great customer service and I would highly recommend Select Windows.

Select is apparently uninterested in Post-Sales support. Unanswered messages left with answering service and on answering machine. Puzzling performance given Bobbie P's review of 10/6/2020.

Dave helped us order a replacement for an older window from Weather Shield. The first time they sent the wrong window. But Dave stuck with it and re-ordered, all the time keeping his cheerful disposition, until they got it right. Thank you, Dave.

I started my project with Select Windows a few years back - with Tony Rebagliati helping me with all my questions and endless patience. He had a lot of good ideas, gerat advice - and then we finally got to order the doors and windows. Tony left the company - and all went downhill: Phone calls and emails are rarely returned, and if, they are returned with days or weeks delay.

For six months now I am chasing them down to fix problems with my doors and windows (some of them were fault of the installer) - but I still have to fight with missing parts, leaking doors and windows - and don't feel taken care of at all. They have my money, I have the windows - they don't care anymore.

Very helpful staff! Derek was able to easily fix a broken window that others had been unable to fix. We are very happy with Select Windows!

We are very pleased with our new patio sliding glass doors from Select Windows of Los Altos. The insulation went very well and they are beautiful. Very impressed with the hardware. I used Select Windows to replace 4 windows and 2 sliding doors in my house. Their service and expertise was wonderful! Tony came out and measured my windows and reviewed the job with me before I ordered. I decided on Milgard windows and they delivered and installed them on-time without any problems. Their window/door installer guys are top-notch! They don't waste time and do an amazing installation.

You would never know that the stucco was removed around my windows for the window install and re-applied after the installation. When I'm ready to replace my skylights and front door I'll call on Select Windows again without any hesitation!
