Miller's Overhead Door

I had a very old 12 foot door that needed to be replaced. I had several companies including Millers come out for an estimate. Every other company want to charge quite a bit more and replace the original tracks and re-engineer the door because the ceiling overhead was very low and close to the top of the door by a few inches. These guys recommended going with a special door that is the same thickness as the original door and to use the existing tracks that were in good shape and of a higher quality than what is sold today.

The door is fully insulated compared to the non-insulated versions the other companies quoted. The door took about 7 weeks to come in but when it did they were very prompt to schedule a day for installation. Paul came out and did the whole install in about 3-4 hours including new weather strip moldings on the outside of the door. The new door is so quiet and smooth, you hear the garage door opener more than the door itself, and that is not much to hear with a belt drive.

He also told me that they use upgraded rollers in every door that also helps with keeping the door movement quiet and smooth. Overall I am very happy with the work and the new door and the price was the cheapest out of all the bids.

When I got up on March 7th and tried to raise my garage door I quickly realized that it was broken and that one of the torsion springs had snapped! After reading allot of reviews online of all the local companies that service the Chesapeake area, I decided to call Millers! They gave me a estimate which was very reasonable and I agreed and they set up an appointment to come out and repair my door!

A couple of hours later my cell phone ring and it was the Hospice care in Alabama where my mother is in a nursing home telling me my mom who has suffered from Alzheimer's for years was more than like going to pass in the next day or so, and I should come as soon as possible. So I immediately started packing and had a million things running thru my head, I felt overwhelmed.

But my wife said just call Millers and tell them we need to cancel, which I did! The ladies there we so nice when I told them I needed to cancel and I didn't know when I would be back. She tried to see if they could work me earlier in the week but I was leaving immediately so that wasn't going to work. Long story short my wife couldn't get our dogs into the kennel that day so we decided I would go on, and she would come later with son and his wife.

So I called Millers back and said my wife was going to be her for two more days, and asked could they put me back on the schedule and they said absolutely! It was thirty minutes Millers called me back and said they were sending a Technician out immediately to fix my door. The technician was at my house and finished in less than an hour, he also stayed and talked with us for a few minutes about what was happening with my mom, as he had lost his day to Alzheimer's as well!

What a class act he was so kind! As was everyone at Millers that helped us during this tough time! I will never forget how they went out of their way to help someone they had never met before! Nor will I ever use anyone but them again! God Bless, Sincerely, The Barnes Family!

I have tried for 4+ weeks just to get an appointment scheduled to install a high lift kit, a jackshaft opener, and a door adjusted that Miller's did the same work on 2 years ago. While to them, a small job, it was north of $1000 worth of business. Kelsey repeatedly told me that she needed to get someone else to schedule the work "this afternoon" and that she'd call me back in the next day or so.

She never called - and I called them 3 times over 4 weeks for this work (they didn't even need to do come measure as they had all my measurements from another job). Obviously Miller's is thriving in the pandemic environment as they do not even seem to want to schedule new jobs. Call one of the other overhead door businesses in the are and save yourself some time.

Such a great professional company. From speaking with the office personnel Kelsey, I knew i was in good hands! She's helpful and despite a busy schedule for them, she was able to help schedule a tech, Dan, to come out in less than 24 hours!. Dan was sincere, honest and extremely friendly. Other companies I spoke with immediately wanted to sell me a new door panels before even looking at the door. Dan came and look at the door and had the dent fixed in 15 minutes. Highly recommend this company.

I needed the top panel of my garage door replaced due to damage. I was recommended by Doormasters to give them a call for my particular brand of door. The receptionist was so helpful and patient as I tried to figure out the make/model of the door. They sent a technician next day and he completed the repair in half an hour. Fast, professional, and great customer service. Would certainly use them again in the future!

I called Miller's and Kelsey was the person I spoke with, she was so customer friendly I knew I had called the right company. They sent a tech out by the name of Dan, he was the friendly tech I have ever had. He looked at my garage door and make a couple of small adjustments. that simple. Done. when my husband comes home from the hospital from a broken back, I know he will be so happy. Best experience I've ever had, and by the way, it was Dan's 62 Birthday. working on his birthday. We had Miller's out to replace a single garage door and opener today and I can't say enough good things. I don't remember the technicians name, but he was polite and extremely competent. He was on time and respectful. The door looks awesome! The office staff and estimators were also wonderful. And the price was extremely reasonable! Overall a 10/10 experience. Thank you!

WOW! What an awesome experience. Mr. Dan was my technician and he was such a joy to have in my presence. He fixed my garage door and bless my soul at the same time. Miller's customer service is wonderful.from the time you dial their number until the time they leave your home. Just wonderful!

The tech did an awesome job installing the new garage door I'd purchased from Home Depot. The communication from the staff was great the whole time and everyone I spoke with was super nice.
